Thanks for all the feedback on technique. Second question for you fine folks.

Those of you that have a Vapcap, what is your battery vape of choice? The Vapcap hits hard and is extremely efficient but the lighting experience feels a little awkward in public and when friends are just sitting with joints.

With the Skeletor induction heater from @Pipes the VapCap is my battery powered vape of choice!



I do love my Solo, too... Nothing beats the flavor from that thing...

I've used my Solo ONCE since purchasing my 'M'. When I did, all I could think was, "Why the fuck am I inhaling vapour from a piece of plastic full of wires?"

Really looking forward to my induction heater from DIY superstar Pipes that should be here any time.

Iv been this lately and am really enjoying the new, whole nug flavours....

With a very satisfactory amount of vapour to accompany that taste....

I think it's how I vapcap now...

I rarely put ground in, bowl sized nug with the screen set to full load cause thats micro dosing enough for me. Stab the nug with the cap after each heat cycle, produces about 4 hits, the first two being stellar and the last two just ok, but productive.
I can go from jonesing to comfortably set for awhile after just those first two pulls. My true daily driver.
No need to bash other vapes in this thread though. I love all my vapes and they would all be daily drivers if only there were more hours in the day.

I've been playing with my Omni a bunch and love it. Such a handy little vape.

One thing I've noticed is that I get 2 clicks a lot of the time when I'm heating it - a small click, usually followed very shortly by a much louder click. I know I'm supposed to remove the heat source upon hearing the click, but I'm unsure which click to stop initially on? Honestly it's more-or-less of a non-issue since the second click usually comes shortly after I remove the heat source upon hearing the initial click anyhow, but I wanted to bring it up here just in case.

Additionally, I need to refill the torch lighter I ordered from dynavap. Is there a particular type of butane/fuel that I should use? Sorry, I'm new to a lot of this butane, non-battery-powered stuff.

Don't use Ronson. The more it's filtered the better.
There's two bi-metal disks in the cap for redundancy.

I stop at the second click.

There are two metal discs sealed inside the top of the cap. When the cap reaches toking temps the metal discs buckle and generate a clicking sound. Having a second disc is a redundant failsafe feature of the cap. Hence the double click.

If depth isn't a concern you can use a rod magnet that is 3/8" or 10mm diameter rather than a disk and the Vapcap will stick in the middle.

Well. These rod magnets are MUCH more powerful than the diametrical ones. And while they work most of the time, because the surface on top of the ceramics isn't completely flat, the vapcap isn't always completely stable. Leading to it occasionally toppling over.

I don't honestly have enough EXP to say much about butanes, but I CAN say they're not 'the same'. I have two 'hyperpure' cans, and one never fails to give me better pressure / more heats in Lighter A, even now as it's nears empty - the other seems incapable of actually filling Lighter A beyond a scant minimum. (Sadly, Lighter A has no visible fuel supply).


Here's a thing I've noticed: if I go for another pull @ the cool-down, I'll often get a SECOND PAIR of clicks following the cool-down clicks. Def NOT my imagination. Anybody else?

Second click.... + one last rotation . We're all on a learning curve here (as mentioned above) and the best advice is to "respect the click" but as you get to know your device, lighter type & heating technique, rotation method, the humidity of your weed... a whole bunch of factors... sometimes you just know that a second or two (!!!) longer can sometimes produce insane clouds . Playing with fire, literally

Sometimes I think the CCD also click on cool down. I've noticed 3 clicks sometimes.

They might not give two clicks heating up, but always two clicks cooling down - so there's a phantom third pair out in the bush....

I don't know if I shared, but I got my brother hooked on Vapcaps. I gave him an M and a slim SS core stem with a 4th gen Ti tip since he goes camping so much. He noticed the difference between the Ti and the M right away.

"The titanium tip is the bomb. It toasts the load in one go every time."

He's been using his non stop because it's so easy to carry and use. Easily one of the best gifts I've ever given someone.

Ya speaking of which, I got one of my friends on VC as well. He used my TI xls and feel in love with it. So during 420 sale I decided to give him a nice little present, a beautiful M. Now he has converted like myself except for the occasional j or bowl hit, but that's few and far between. Fuck combustion, and thanks so much Dynavap!
On a side note: I actually went to a dirty heads & SOJA show, I couldn't help it, there was like 8+ J's rolling around me, and I didn't bring my VC (was unsure about security), had to take a few puffs with my friends. Ugh, tasted so horrible and killed my throat, but it was still worth it, haven't had a combustion buzz in months.. Okay now back to reality, VC and enano are my two loves. Oh and of you ever get a chance you should go see both of those bands, they were fantastic.

Greetings!

Many fun, and not so fun events over the past few weeks.
Went hiking with my boy, and found this.

I wasn't sure, if it was a lightning bug larva, so we took it home and it matured over the next few days.
Here is the finished product.

But on other news, we had a good rain, and our shop decided it wanted to become a wetland. Not fun, but it did force us to get organized.

And here are a few new videos.

Last, there is something I am really excited to share coming very soon.

Hi everybody,
A little pressure to post just after George but it is the game of jet lag
I made several tests to make a DIY Bodi for my Omni Condencer/Mouthpiece, which were conclusive but not very hesthetic.

By dint of testing and removing and then restoring the condencer, the part with the Oring on it that was screwed detached itself from the condencer and remained blocked in the body.

I found that my Omni condencer had been machined, maybe to properly fit.
I tried to replace it by the condencer of my Ti Woody XLS, and it works well.

Has anyone ever tried it?
This seems so simple, yet I still think I have seen such compatibility ?
So I can use my Cocobolo stem, I prefer the mouthpiece of the Omni than wooden ones.
