Maybe the younger generation (only 27 myself) has a need for electronics and technology and can't grasp the simplicity of things.
Hi VapCap (not to me confused with Vap Man, haha), I have a question RE: The Tube. I just wanted to be sure that the tube is a piece that can last forever (with proper maintenance of course) and is not something that becomes soiled and will need to be replaced....Just wondering because I didn't see it specified that the tube is also made of glass (as opposed to ?? something else)...tks

A big thank you to everyone here for all your support and suggestions! I have some really cool stuff in the works and have been burning, I mean vaping the midnight well you know what I mean working on it. I just sent some goodies to Ed overnight so we can keep this going. On top of that, I am actually thankful to the folks on reddit for their comments. I probably wouldn't be pushing the wood development as quickly if it weren't for their feedback. I can't wait to get some pictures up here showing what is coming together!

I agree - I think wood will be just perfect. I really can't wait to see what @Ed's TnT comes up with. I completely get your Okin comparison when it comes to the aesthetics of the bamboo - but their heating mechanisms, and I think the type of vaping experience they offer, are so very different. So, in my eyes, I don't really think they compare all that closely

You cannot go wrong dealing with @Ed's TnT ...he makes quality products and i own several of them. Cant help but love Ed...shit he is from my home state. He will make a piece for you that will take it to the next level...trust me...I am and always will be a loyal customer of Ed.....

I finished my first hybrid prototype a few minutes ago. The business end has been upgraded to titanium. Please let me know what you think. This is the direction I am hoping to go with Ed, titanium tips that is. We are hoping to substitute the glass for wood and titanium. I think the glass has it's place, and it definitely works well, but it seemed there was a need to satisfy the craving for something a bit more interesting than clear glass. A key feature of this design is the thermal isolation of the titanium end. This will allow for continued use without burning your fingers!

Assembled unit. Same length. Still fits nicely in the air tight plastic tube.
