Hi Everyone,

My name is Arielle and I work in the shipping department of Dynavap. I spoken to of many of you through email that have made a purchase in the past, and now I am reaching out to the whole community.

We are currently working on improving the FAQ page on our website. I'm looking for some insight from all of you to help gather some frequently asked questions, common misconceptions, and any other tips about our products that could help users. We hope this will help new/current users and potential buyers to fully understand what Dynavap's products are and how to achieve the most from them.

If there are any other suggestions to improve the website, I would love to see those too.

Thanks!

Arielle

@Arielle.Dynavap It seems like nearly every day I check the forum someone asks some variation of the question "I want to buy VapCap X, will it work with VapCap part Y?" So I think the FAQ page would benefit from some kind of compatibility chart. Like a summary of each model and what parts it consists of.. I know they are listed on the FAQ; but a nice summarized chart with some visual aids would add a lot of clarity I feel.

Also I did not realize the about page had detailed product information, initially I assumed it'd be company info. Maybe something could reference "more product info here" on the website to send curious customers to the FAQ?

And finally I knew of Dynavap quite some time ago but never took the plunge to purchase any VapCaps until I came across the FC forums. I noticed the VapCap thread was one of the most active so I took the time to read through it; it was here that I came across endless raving customer reviews.. Why not have some reviews on the website? I see if you scroll down the Dynavap webpage there is a link to reddit with some great user accounts. But that's not super obvious, I did not see it the first 3 times I came to the website considering the product. Just looking through these +463 FC pages there are some practically poetic prose praising the prowess of these products. I'd love to see some of these words on the website near the products that inspired them.

I just finished up taking some photos for a couple pieces going up for sale. I could help but snag one of the 18mm VonG that @ArthurJ ordered from me before it goes out. The wood is white spalted bigleaf tiger maple that I logged myself. Looking at it now makes me feel like all those days spent in the forest were well worth it.

I actually found out about Vapcaps through the forum on other threads. People casually mentioning them and comparing them in other butane powered vape threads. I got curious and after hearing the name enough times I decided to check it and this thread out. I was instantly intrigued and shortly after sold on owning one. In the last month I have spent $350 on the Dynavap website. Dam this disease known as VAS :ko:.

Hi, and welcome here @Arielle.Dynavap !

My request is that you update and reorganize your videos section, and maybe add some of them to the FAQ page, where appropriate.

George has posted many videos here that I haven't found on your website and are really helpful (like vapcap heating technique, how to adjust the screen in the new tip, and others).

Hope this helps.

Thanks @Prolusio!

My first impression after reading this forum was that we needed a chart showing the compatibility. We actually already have this in the works and hope to be adding it to the site soon.

Thank you for your insight and suggestions! I will bring this to the Dynavap team's attention. Truly great ideas!

@Squiby let me know if you have any suggestions!

Everyone, please do not be shy on any constructive suggestions- we genuinely want to make everything better for our customers!

I got my first vapcap yesterday and have used it a bunch since then. I got a Sticky Brick at the same time so I've been going back and forth a bit. The vapcap is really impressive! I just got the basic glass one. It hits differently than the Brick - a bit hotter and, in my opinion, the flavor is not quite as good. The vapor production is more consistent, though, and I get a pretty nice cloud every time.

I've been enjoying packing it slightly less than full and taking it down in 1 huge rip . .with maybe a follow up mini-rip if I'm not coughing too much, lol. I haven't liked, as much, heating for a second time. I get vapor on the second heating but I prefer to pack it lighter and get it all in 1 heating.

I think a woody is in my near future - I'm really intrigued about using it with a bong . .and also having one that will be slightly more durable. The glass one feels like it will be pretty durable - but glass is glass and eventually I break all glass so . . .

What an awesome vape, though . .really impressed!

Big shout out to @t-dub, I tried the heat sync method you suggested - where you preheat the tip (not enough to click) on the 1st hit, so that you get good clouds from the start. Works incredibly well.
Thanks @Farid - Expanding my flaming lower on to the Ti tip, then letting it heat soak for a tad, then reheating normally, once you get the feel down you get an incredible first hit with the second being cleanup.

An updated family photo, a stock cocobolo double crown (ed's tnt) on the left, my @Winegums amphora, and my three @phattpiggie stems, a purple heart twist, the blackwood square, and a teak hex. I need to order more tips.
I find it really interesting that you use the amphora that way around. I always have liked it with the narrow end as the mouth piece, and use the waist as my grip. But who am I to tell you what's most comfortable to you. You clearly need more tips!

What about a omni condenser with standard type end fitting - allowing to use mouthpiece of choice/none!?
Or might the unit become unstable then maybe.

Also, something interesting I experienced with the triple torch lighter that might be good to know for all of you owning one! -When removing the sticker that is placed on the gas tank, to get rid of the remaining glue I applied some ISO on a cotton ball and made one swipe around the gas chamber, it then instantly cracked and started leaking from everywhere in my hand! Felt like a damn hand grenade made of ice :uhoh:
Indoor temperature, brand new piece only test burned once or twice.
Some reaction there happened, so beware!

Keep up the good work :sherlock:

@Arielle.Dynavap thanks again for your direct customer service. Pretty much emailed the same day and always helpful, you made blowing through my money easy lol.

In regards to the FAQ I pretty much agree with everything mentioned up until now, like more updated media, reviews, a parts-list for upgrades, etc.

@SSVUN~YAH I want to party at your place for Shatterday

My triple torch did the same exact thing when I used ISO to remove the adhesive. I reported it directly to George along with pics. He added a warning right away on the website in the lighters description and also replaced my lighter. What a crazy reaction. It sucked but at the same time kinda neat. Total degradation of plastic upon contact:science:. Never seen anything like it.

Hi Arielle

I have answered the same questions over and over. The modularity of the Vapcap is both exciting and confusing to people new to the Dynavap Brand. Common questions are:

- what is the functional difference between the various vaporizer models?

- how can the OG Vapcap be upgraded? This question is raised in reference to upgrading to the Vapcap S.

- can the OG be upgraded to a Woody model?

- how to upgrade a Woody to an Omni?

- what is the difference between a body and a stem?

- what combinations will a regular length condenser accommodate versus an XL condenser?

- what pieces should I add to my cart to create a Vapcap first aid kit?

- what is the proper placement and modifications of orings?

- what are the tips for handling and removing orings?

- what are the tips for assembling and dismantling a Vapcap?

- how to clean the Vapcap and what parts need to be cleaned?

- how does the Vapcap work?

- what is the function of the condenser?

- which Vapcap should I buy? These are questions about the differences between the models in considering cost vs durability vs function and aesthetics.

- what are the heating options?

- how to avoid combustion?

- what are the heating techniques and which lighter should I choose?

- will my OG, Woody, VonG, Omni, S model, XLS model fit into a dynastash?

- how to use degummed hemp fiber?

- which CCD screen should I use? Stainless steel or titanium?

- what's the difference between a Woody and an Omni?

hey all. still too sick to be hanging out. hope everyone is well!

i'm popping in because i have a question. i gifted my friend an og but i'm not sure how she will clean the condenser--can't get iso easily here (requires a prescription!!!!?) and also no high proof alcohol to soak it in. anyone have any recommendations? thanks in advance :peace:
For a quick and non chemical clean i heat up the parts that need cleaning and stuff a piece of tissue paper in or through the tube. Use cotton for reclaim. Dishwasher will do a good job too but leaves residue from rinse aid etc.

Oh? Then you never had a Pinnacle and tried to clean the mouthpiece . . . ;)
What a disaster that thing was... Polar opposite of the VapCap! Glad to see you're enjoying yours so much, I love mine so much. I have a few different torch lighters but the single flame remains my favorite because it's a more precise heat spot, so I can heat low and get big clouds, or heat high and it turns into a sort of joint experience where I get a lot of light lower temperature hits if I don't heat it back up immediately when it clicks.

Agree with everything but especially this bit. The modularity and choices and what does and doesn't work with what is confusing at times.

Greenhopper,
"What's your best guess for removal? M3? M4?" Quoted from mesg #11422.
It got time to clean out the screenwich in my Omni. It got to be a chore using the Omni condenser to remove the screens, so I wandered off to the barn for a better solution.
A 3/16" drill-bit with a flat end to the shank of the bit, and two (2) pennies.
Clean the ti-tip of reclaim however you want.
Insert shank end of drill-bit into ti-tip.
Place 1 penny on solid surface, place ti-tip bowl down on penny.
Place penny no. 2 on top of drill-bit.
Tap on top penny to remove screenwich.
I didn't mean to ignore your question. I was waiting for the reclaim to build before cleaning everything.

So I loaded up my Vapcap this morning with a whole nug and forgot about it. When I went to check my vapcap it was empty?! So I check it off as being slow before my first dose of caffeine and load up another bowl. Upon trying to put the cap on I find out that the first nug was so sticky that it stuck itself to the top of the cap and came out of the bowl with it. I had to pry it out of the cap it was so stubbornly stuck.

It was like a magic trick, " AND NOW I WILL MAKE THIS NUG DISAPPEAR BEFORE YOUR VERY EYES!"

True or False?

Normally people used to recommend the Omnivap, so the airflow can always be adjusted to suit.
But now that these new tips have sufficient airflow, and some now recommend zero added airflow,
someone could be just as equally blown away by the performance of a Ti Carbon S, Woody, or Glassy etc. if they were looking to upgrade from OG and be even more impressed by the performance of an upper end Vapcap?
