@Kozzmozz interesting to see the difference in our Rizla mods. I went one hole which progressed to a short length of hypodermic needle. 1/2mm bore. These were used with the 1st and 2nd gen Ti.
The newest tips, for me, need no carb. You can hear the air being sucked under it.
I was wondering what the orange bud was first time I saw it.

Here you go @SSVUN~YAH , I know, I was asking for it
As a bonus here's a detail of the mouthpiece

@phattpiggie I cannot compare with the previous tips, but the airflow closed is indeed pretty good already. Howevery I like to take long lungdraws, 'click to click', and found the tree holes perfect, but I sometime even still cover it to 'crank it up a bit'.

Swirly katalox, it's almost a shame I put that paper on there

I'm seriously waiting for anything to help me pull the trigger on an all TI Omni.

Durability might be an added benefit though, but it doesn't seem like the Uni models would have durability issues.

The Unis are pretty durable, but you never know what might happen:

I think I have some cracking issues....

Be careful when tapping your spent load outside the car window, if you lose your grip and drop your Vapcap a Big Ass truck may run it over:cry::cry::cry:.

...we decided to put the OmniVap to the test.

I had high hopes it would survive, but it did still seem a bit wrong to run it over, Twice just to make sure.
Other than a bit of dirt, it survived without any significant damage. I'm not sure, but this may be a first?

@Kozzmozz I asked George at the time when I happened upon the idea if he'd do some small adhesive disc's with a selection of hole sizes.

I jokingly called them Dynadots. March 2016 I took the glass picture.

Kapton tape works well and it's used in quite a few different electronic vapes in areas where they get very hot, it's a lot less noticeable than paper.

I do personally prefer using my Ti body for my Omni when I'm out and about. At home I like my carbon fiber body, or glass, or maybe my Burly or OG.

It's just nice to know that you don't have to worry about anything at all with an all metal unit, no matter what happens my Ti Omni will be there for me. The ultimate backup.

I had issues with a broken o-ring once and found out an interesting fact. Some of the o-rings are actually redundant and are not necessary to function, acting almost like a spare tire.

The titanium Omni really is an heirloom vaporizer. You could theoretically use it hundreds of years from now, and it would probably still compete performance-wise. :borg:

It's this notion unique to the VC that set me off on my wood trip.

I can't think of any other vaporizer that allows the user so many options of personalization.

Or for that matter a device which has sparked off so much imagination among it's fan base.

And I'm sure there will be more VC goodies to come.

Yes indeed. One day, I hope to have one of your beautiful creations! Actually, I wouldn't mind having several. Keep up the great work!

And please report back, just in case I decide to get one:wave:.

So they got back to me and say they can pretty much set me up with a Ti-Woody setup, but with no wood, just ti on the mouthpiece and body for $115. I might really consider it since the air control aspect of the Omni isn't needed for me since I already have plenty of experience with manual airflow control (MFLB, plethora of glass pieces, Vapor Genie, etc) .

I might pull the trigger on this one.. what do you guys recommend me throwing in as far as extras for a first-timer? I know the dugout is popular, but I already have plenty of other tools that help with that. I'm thinking more along the lines of maintenance and parts that need consistently changing.

I need to admit something to you guys, feel like I'd be shunned in the Milaana thread but...

I haven't picked up Milaana since my Vapcap showed up

:o

It's just so much more fun, brings back the PYRO element that was missing from the vaping experience!

Same here, I won't tell if you won't ;). Between my hyper efficient UD and the amazingly designed VC I find myself reaching for fewer and fewer different vapes these days. I still keep buying them for some reason though; accursed VAS.

I also find myself loving my TI omni out and about. I like to keep my VC in my pocket while I'm working (weekends, responsibly) or doing chores and I often have much dirtier hands than a person should have when wanting to touch beautiful burl wood. The Ti makes me feel much more comfortable using my VC when I'm in work mode. Any grime or dirt just wipes right off, doesn't matter if it gets wet, doesn't matter if it drops onto a hard surface, and they look stunning yet nondescript. I can't recommend the Ti VapCaps enough.

Right there with ya! I picked up my milaana the other day for the first time in a month. I went back to the Omnivong shortly after.

I like big bong hits, and I cannot lie:D

 I'm feeling exactly the same about my VapCap vs Hopper. Just posted in the Hopper thread that I'm leaning towards the VapCap at the moment, if you don't hear from me in the next few days I fear it may be because I've been lynched :uhoh:

So I'm finding the OmniVap amazing but I'm lusting after a few other units still:
It would seem the VapCap has given me a taste for highly customisable vapes made by an artist out of beautiful cuts of wood.

Only love...

You have nothing to worry about. :horse:

I feel the love

Looking at that lil dude beat that horse with a BBall bat throws me back to the days when I used to experiment with different rolling techniques and made some monster spliffs. Now I don't smoke I'm thinking giant VapCap, the SuperVap? MegaVap?

It's clear to me I still have some growing up to do :lol:

Would be great for group vaping though :brow: like passing a peace pipe, PeaceVap?

Crazy thoughts :mental:, my favourite kind :freak:

That's one of the genius aspects of the Vapcap; there are no parts that need constant changing. I have all the spare replacement bits. But I must say the longevity of the stock unit is astonishing.

However, what are the bits that will need replacing eventually?

- Condenser Orings. These are grooved orings that hold the stainless steel condenser in place within a body or stem and holds the mp in place, if there is one. I have never needed to replace one but they are small and can be easily lost when dismantling your Vapcap. The package comes with two small and one larger oring. Extra x-orings can be used to partially or fully block a carb hole. I also like doubling up an oring under a mp. I just find that the extra ring tightens up the condenser and helps the mouthpiece spin easily. Get extra Condenser Orings.

- High Temperature Orings. These are round tube shaped orings that fit onto the titanium tips and the Omni condenser/mouthpiece. If you remove these frequently and/or you're not gentle when removing them, they could deform, or break even. There are 4 orings on the tip for a friction fit into the body or stem and there are 4 orings on the Omni condenser/mouthpiece. You can get by without a full compliment of orings quite nicely for a long time. I broke an oring or two and haven't replaced them. I have extras, I'm just lazy and performance hadn't been compromised in any way. Having said that... get extra High Temperature Orings.

- CCD Screens. These are tiny machined screens exclusive to the Vapcap. They come in a stainless steel and a titanium version. They can get lost easily too, but having extra screens is always a good idea. If they get bent, just tap them flat again with a hammer. I like to use two in every tip to make a degummed hemp fiber filter sandwich. I seat one screen in the bottom groove of the chamber, place a filter on top and seat a second screen over it in the middle groove. Do this and you will experience the smoothest, cleanest vapor ever. No coughing ever. No tiny particulates in the airpath or your lungs ever. Plus you get the bonus of a very clean condenser. Get extra CCD screens.

- Degummed Hemp Fiber. Dynavap sells an enormous wad of it for $5 that will last a very very long time. Use it as a bed for hash or other concentrates or make a filter for a screen sandwich. Here is a post describing my filter making technique.

http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/dynavap-vapcap.18853/page-295#post-1034430

- Clicking Cap. I like the idea of having an extra cap around. If you somehow lost it or dropped it and accidentally hit it with a hammer, you're done; the Vap won't work.

Other than getting a lighter and a can of butane, these bits should stock a pretty good Vapcap first aid kit.
