Sorry for being off topic for a sec, but I hope things get better for you guys over there soon @natural farmer
Just checking in. Everything has been going very well with my vapcap. Still functioning like the day it arrived. still getting consistant hits of the same small amount. It is a great vap! I can't wait till I get my pyro, and ed tivap. If you got in on the preoeder you got a great deal.
@Petro I prefer this over my vapman. There are two reasons. The first is that it fits in your pocket. The tube is very slender and fits nicely, it is pretty unobtrusive. The second is that it is automatic. Even as much as I have used my vm, I still char a load now and again. This hasn't happened to me with the Vapcap. I don't think I have found one time I needed to heat past the click to get extraction. It will be diffrent for everybody but that is why it wins for me.
George was gracious enough to have me over to his shop yesterday. His enthusiasm for his products is infectious...I left the shop extremely pumped for the future of this start-up.
I'll be putting my vapcap basic through the paces but my initial impressions are excellent. The heat and click is intuitive and it has great extraction which leads to a nice vape signature.
The woodie vapcaps look AMAZING, esp in person. I must compliment George and Ed on these, they are stunning.
Thanks again George for having me out.
Anyone going to the cup this weekend stop in and say hi to him.
edit farmer I think I was there when your order came through, as he casually mentioned an order from Greece
It would be very unfair to try and compare these two. They are completely different. Well, I can compare one thing. Heat up time is pretty equal (around 5 sec.). But beyond that... Among my conduction vapes, the VapCap performs as well as the units I own costing >5 times as much . I will grab for the VapCap over the Ascent every time. It is faster, more efficient, and tastes better for ⅛ of the price. Also heats around 9 times faster. It produces much denser vapor than the original Hippie Vape and heats up around 20 times faster. Considering all the facts, I will say that I think this is hands down one of the best choices for a vap under $50. A additional benifit is that it is made in the U.S.A not in a factory in China.Hey bro, it's probably apples and oranges but how does the VapCap compare to the Zion?
I mean... I don't know where the parts and/or raw material come from... Are those all produced in-house?It would be very unfair to try and compare these two. They are completely different. I'd love to see a non-tobacco vapor production video to build even more anticipation of the VapCap's arrival.
@1_gr8_underdog, jfrsn, and/or @IAmKrazy2 how sturdy/delicate does the vapcap seem? How long do you think it will last? I wonder if eventually the heat will crack the glass.
At some point I would like to get the Woody or full Ti vapcap that George is working on (when it's released) for their sturdiness, but want to wait for reviews and comparisons to the original vapcap. Look forward to seeing all the future developments.
It is made mostly of glass. It is what it is. "How long" it last would be dependent on how you take car of it. As far as cracking from heat, i would assume this would happen within the first few uses, or with moisture being left inside while using.
Overall, try not to drop it constantly and you should be fine.
If it's boro, it should be able to withstand herb vaping temps no problem.I remember reading through the entire Gnome Glass vaporizer thread, the all glass vaporizer. A good number of them ended up cracking from the heating/cooling process. Don't know if that means glass is definitely bound to break after a certain amount of heat ups, but this one has that steel cap on it, so it will be interesting to see if that helps it live longer.
Previous generation version before I had the internal tube was fully developed. As you have seen over the past few weeks, I am constantly looking for ways to improve the form and function of thus device.Hmm...I just notice that in this video I see the cap, the body, and the tip, but not the tube. @VapCap So I guess it works without the inner glass tube as well?
I still char a load now and again. This hasn't happened to me with the Vapcap.
At the cup getting set up.
Introducing the VapCap dugout.
