You suggested a Blazer Firefox a while ago. I bought one on your suggestion. Best DV lighter. Ever. And I'll fight any man to the death who challenges that statement.

So, please allow me to return the favor and strongly suggest you research the Brilliant Cut Grinder by Grinders for Life.
Delighted you like the Firefox and thanks for the BCC suggestion.

Land of the long vapor cloud
I can not notice anything with airflow directions....but there is more airflow through the load as there is less restriction. I can extract a larger load much faster.

IE....bigger loads, bigger taste, bigger vapor. 😉

You had me at larger load. :censored:

Looks like I'm going to be cutting and sizing some mesh today. ✂

Has/does anyone run their M without the condenser?

Is that your final answer? :brow:
glass is a much better insulator than metals.
sorry pet peeve of mine.
Well ... if glass is a better insulator, then metal is a better conductor, right? Conductors conduct heat, no? Are you trying to make my head hurt? Wait ... it's coming into focus ... I think. My glass stems are 5.5" and 7", so I find them cooler than the M. If two stems were of equal wall thickness and length, then the material difference would be, perhaps (?), more telling. The heat of the tip probably doesn't travel down a stem much, given the O-ring insulators, so any heat traveling through the walls of the stem (which should be greater in a metal wall than a glass wall) should be minimal ... but the hot air traveling down the inside of the stems is the culprit of sore throats, right? Is your stance that the warm air is retained in an insulated glass stem but is absorbed into a more conductive metal stem such that the air is cooled by the time it gets inhaled? Yeh ... I can buy that. The Simrell Vortex is pretty popular, so .... OK, maybe glass isn't cooler, but ... what about flavor/taste? Can you give glass the edge here?

Great point of view @LabPong - hadn't though it through from that perspective.

I have #40 screens

Do you guys find that steel mesh mutes the flavor a tiny bit? I've been back-and-forthing with the steel mesh and the titanium CCD's. I can't tell if it's the placebo effect, or if the Ti ccd's really do allow a more neutral flavor.
Right now I'm using both a ccd and a steel mesh in tandem just for the hell of it. I do like using dual filters.
I have no experience with the steel CCD's but I've never heard of anyone complaining about the steel ccd flavor, only the steel mesh.

@Mono Loco - there is also particle interaction within the vape column that cools quickly on path-length. That is the most natural cooling, or more exactly, combining. I don't get -hot- with a 5" wooden stem, second probably only to glass in poor conductivity. Also makes it poor to condense my precious vape of course. I just cleaned my stem with a scraper. Dark-dark vape honey. Very sparse.

That said, my glass/wood stem stays very cool. It had a wooden skirt to gird the VC and the wall thickness changes within a 1/4" to thicker section where it girds the glass. The thicker section stays cool while the thin 1mm section conducts very little heat due to the lack of cross-sectional area. The wood can take vape temps at the cooling fins no problem. It doesn't have to dissipate it.

@Gryff - those are my old bong screens. It looks like the screen in the pictures are in the #80-#120 range.

Yes stem length is a factor in cooling.
It isn't my stance it is the measured thermal conductivity of the stem materials. Glass is not a great conductor of heat. Of course other factors come into play, the design, bore size and length for example. But regardless of all other factors glass still remains a good insulator/poor conductor of heat.

Flavor/taste is pretty subjective. I don't notice any significant improvement with glass compared to stainless or Ti others may I can't speak to that.

My stance is that I control the vapor temp primarily by how I heat the VC itself. A glass stem may be cooler but it has to be for reasons other than it being made from glass. That's all.

My first post on the NFC!!

The @nemomatic_store "Flask" Vapcap stash has set the bar incredibly high.⁣

A mix of 80's Proto Pipe, steam punk and Artemus Gordon engineering, if James West had a Vapcap, this would be his stash.⁣

Incredibly well thought out and expertly constructed, the flask has everything you need and wastes no space. On the top end you have the spring loaded Vapcap chamber and the herb container, large enough for a days outing. on the bottom end is the ABV container complete with built in debowler. Both doors are securely locked and actuate by a simple but elegant, spring loaded pin.⁣ Lay it on its side and it doubles as a cooling stand.

the Flask has definitely exceed my expectations. ⁣It's cool factor and precision hand made construction is matched by its utility.
