Dynavap VapCap

Just picked up an 18M and I must say I’m in love again! It’s just such a perfect piece. The way it feels so symmetrical in my hands. The way it almost whistles (with a slight restriction) right out of the box. It’s very much my thing!

I’m curious about Dynavap in general. Typically, I’m actually impressed with the finished product.

This time there was a small speck of something on my cap. When I talked to Dynavap, they said it was a slight bit of oxide from the manufacturing of the cap. Looked like a gray speck of “shaving” - it wiped off clean. Has anyone seen such a thing on their caps before?

I will tell you my 2018 “M” mess me up?

I think it is just a soot. remove it with some 96% ISO/Ethanol wiping with some cotton pick
Remember to make sure you won't leave any ISO/Ethanol stains on your cap, wipe it well, you don't wanna torch the alcohol.

Have started combusting again after scoring some decent hash for the first time in many, many years. I first tried it in my 19M with hemp fibre and the result was unsatisfactory, mind you I used the same heating technique I use for flower. So if anyone has any tips on how to go about it I would very much appreciate it.

Ironic. Haven’t seen good hash here since US invaded Afghanistan.

Try mixing some crumbled hash with fine grind herb in your M.

Also, possibly a different temperature profile for hash. Experiment. Let us know.

Solid hash prolly requires some few seconds past the clicks.

hemp fibers suck..... just use 100% organic cotton for a clean easy experience with no weird added taste from the medium.

Thinking of selling my 19M - but I wanted to try it through water with the carb closed off first...

Wherethose silicone bands that goes over the carb hole?

Does anyone just use hemp wick to close off the carb while puffing through water?

Have you considered using gooood old scotch tape.
Beats looking around for silicone bands.

Remove the condenser and push one of the x-rings closer to the tip, past the carb. In this position it will block airflow through the carb and into the condenser

Plug the 19M carb with an x-ring (thanks @StringTheorista) then pop your 19M into a 10(f) < 14(m)

Mmmm i know I’m not the first to do this - but I was going to sell my 19M. The puffs through water are amazing now! Something about the way this piece connects to the 10<14 adapter. Might hold on to my 19M now...

Edit - does anyone have any experiences with other glass adapters? A local shop sell Ed’s TNT’s WPA - looks pretty snazzy??

Try cleaning it in an ISO dip, could have some residue if the click/snap is not as loud.

You do know there are different temp caps.....
