How loud is the igniter click? I love my Vertigo 3 flame torch but that click gets absolutely obnoxious when it's late at night and you're trying to vape next to someone who's sleeping.

You can get flint style torch lighters. They are a bit quieter. I've seen them in doubles and triples as well. What about an IH for beside your bed?

i encourage everyone with an IH to try this technique ... it's next levelception ... it even works with the glass OG which still delivers the tastiest hits ever btw ...

dip and sip we call that around here.

The Dip 'n Sip technique that @phattpiggie came up with eons ago is my go to method whether I'm using an Induction Heater or a lighter.

For those unfamiliar, you heat your Vapcap to the toking click, but rather than continuing to toke until the cooling click, you take a toke or two and immediately heat it a little bit more for a second or two, take another toke or two, heat and so on.

Every bowl only has one heating click and one cooling click at the end regardless of the heating cycles in between.

I do recommend that new users get a good feel for heating their Vapcaps before trying the Dip 'n Sip technique, lest they accidentally combust.

...needed a good laugh this AM Thx @vandalizedbythelotus ! :bigleaf:

I think a 'refresh' function in the IH's would be very useful. If the heater was used in the last say 15 seconds, a timer is automatically set to either a user preset or a 2-second default.

I kinda do the same thing only I push the heat. I use IH heat to click, couple sips, reset cap clicks with a heat sink. Heat again after cool click, sip sip, reset clicks, heat again, sip sip, watch how fast heat clicks. Resetting cool click cuts back on combustion.
I cannot tell you how to use the VapCap, just how I do it. Doc

it’s much quieter than the Vertigo which I also have, but in the quiet of the night still pretty loud.

Hmmm...I like the flame, but it looks huge. Not exactly pocketable, and attention-attracting in public. At least, that's my initial reaction.

I like the size and heft and it fits in my pockets fine but I’m a big guy.

IME no torch is discrete in public when you’re heating a vapcap. So when discretion is required I fall back to edibles or vape cartridges.

i don't mind the size ... i occasionally like to use a torch with my vapcap (reminds me of the old combustion days) ... but that would be at home ... really not into the vapcaps outdoors on the go ... i have better vapes for that

Wassup guys? Great to see the love for this vape. It's perfect and indestructible. No built-in obsolescence at DynaVap.

TOP TIP: If you combust and are left with a disgusting taste in your vape, just remove the cap, tap out the ash and torch the bejesus out of the tip/chamber - like glowing red - a couple of times and puff energetically without inhaling in order to blow away the soot/ash.
Replace the cap and heat it another couple of times but not much beyond the click (don't want to mess too much with the cap).

Then reload with your vaping material of choice and go at it again - you'll barely notice any burnt taste, and next time not at all.

What is the best way to remove the o rings from Dynavap tips?

one of my O-ring is finally starting to degrade and want to replace with the newer rings I have spare from my Woodscents

Now that I've actually gotten to use the DV, albeit slightly modified, I get it. IH heating is definitely a nice option when it is freezing outside. Did my normal dosage. Blackened at least 2 of 6 loads.

Impressions: Nice taste on the first draw at the click. Finding it wants a few more seconds for follow on clicks. When you get that 'done' flavor - stop already! Ash and carbonized plant matter will make it through the screen! Mostly blackened but no gray ash, but that is a harsh reality on your tongue. Still a hard draw even with venting measures. Basically, the loosely packed plant matter can pack up at the screen. The draw resistance varies throughout the load. Cleanup is a breeze. Definitely got some very evenly baked ABV. I am a bit ambivalent on load size. If I spend the day 'taking my medicine' I can see it but if I need my 1/2 gram in a hurry, I need a bigger chamber. I definitely get the cult following. These little things are plain fun to tweak to your own liking.

Now to save for Andy's M-ods. :ugh:

Interesting thing about using a lightweight stem... When you set a hot VC on a cold surface, it can jump as high a 1/2" with the final cooling-click and still land standing up  SpaceX would be impressed!
