SHOUT OUT TO THE GREAT FOLKS AT DYNAVAP!
The dynacoil and silicone container I had ordered arrived in a suspiciously large parcel today. It included a note saying “thanks for watching dynavap live”, and some fun shwag —a keychain, diamond Capman sticker, and green logo hat. And a KarmaVap! Made my day, y’all rock!
I watched as well and they gave out an early BID code . So I got some screens, a few magnet and silicone ER stash containers, nothing big. I also got swag and ANOTHER Karma vap.How many do you have to give away before u can keep one???

ElPic

Take my money
Take my lunch break at work today to create the first Omni/Intercooler!!
I cut down a strip of stainless steel that perfectly fit in the condenser and simply twist it!

it has the exact diameter of the condenser, so the taper end of the condenser hold it in place.

I can’t test it at work... but will report later tonight.... I don’t expect a this to be a « game changer » , but ... testing is fun!!

@ElPic can't wait to hear about the results from your testing later.
Considered trying to make something similar myself for fun.

As for the great Dynavap Battery Independence Day sale,
I ordered some magnets, Backup high temp O-rings and another fat mouthpiece last night.
(No cool codes :( )

Would be outstanding if I got lucky and they sent me a Karma Vap with the order.

I've Got a buddy up in Vermont who could really benefit from switching over to vaping!

Cross your fingers for me guys/gals. LOL

Happy Vaping!

How long does it take you to decide which one you are going to use each day?
I go through a complex series of algorithms paired with my current mood and the local weather forecast...:D

Actually, the picture of all my stems, isn't all of my stems. I missed a few. A few were missed because I have them all over the house; in the basement, in the garage and workshop, beside the bathtub and another on the bedside table and of course a few in the living areas.

Every month, I gather up my Vapcaps and give them all a good cleaning and change out the hemp filters. I also wax all the wood stems and mouthpieces at the same time.

When I reassemble them, whatever midsection strikes my fancy makes the cut but I do have trends. I always seem to use a Ti Vong when soaking in the tub because the shape fits nicely over a tealight holder and I can roast the cap over a nice soft flame. The bedside always has a dynacoil in an Omni with my @Pipes Skelator IH for night time indica rosin tokes. The living areas usually feature @Phattpiggies gorgeous stems and are used and admired by those that come by. The garage and workshop fittingly have @stardustsailor s indestructible titanium stems with their industrial hammering and knurling.

I love VapCap LEGO!!!

there is one in the 2nd pic that is similar to sonething Ive been thinking about. Its has a yellowish acrylic(?) on each end with exposed condenser in between. Do you find it comfortable to use? If you could modify it...what would you do?
That is a Honey Bee acrylic stem that @phattpiggie made for me in the spring of 2017. It's lovely and has a slim profile which makes it comfortable for me to use. I have small female hands so it a perfect size for me.

Here are a few of my early @phattpiggie stems. They are as beautiful and functional today as the day they arrived from over the pond.

Honey Bee acrylic and Blackwood. Spiral Paduak. Honey Bee acrylic and Blackwood with exposed condenser. Blackwood Twist with telescoping condenser. And finally a stunning Tulipwood twist.

with what I believe is a @stardustsailor stem with knurling that just makes me weak in the knees
@stardustsailor hasn't been around on the forum lately. I do hope all is well with him. He makes beautiful titanium stems in various patterns; hammered, bark textured, abstract stripes, epoxy coated in swirling colors and the beloved knurl.

Here's mine. I love the knurl pattern. It has a removable mouthpiece that doubles as a screen setter. It's got a wonderful grip and is very functional. It's got a great industrial look that I find so attractive.

DYING to know where/how you came about THIS one. That's an absolutely GORGEOUS stem!
This is a Copper Stoned midesection. I have one in a body length and another in a stem length. They are weighty and gorgeous. George entertained making custom stems briefly in 2016. He came out with a few models where he melted copper and other metals onto stainless steel. I loved the bumpy Copper Stoned style. He was fantastic to work with and pictures were sent to me throughout its creation for my input. This stem continues to be one of my very favorites though others have said that they thought it was creepy and weirded them out.

You should make a thread showcasing of all the stems you own. I think most people would love it.

I remember the photo of the stems in a spiral :D One of my fav's

@StringTheorista @ubardog @Squiby should we just make "Dynavap Collection" thread?

I'll do you one better...
A Vapcap Accessory Makers' thread? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Accessory Makers (and others :) ) can trade tips and tricks to come up with new and exciting designs for the community at Large!

They as well as other members could share various pictures and stories of their collections of custom accessories.

I don't know. I'm probably being a little ambitious and short-sighted on it somehow, knowing me. LOL

Anyway,
Happy Vaping Y'all!

math, mood and weather...someone needs to make you an App for that! A timesaver, which you clearly need given your monthly DV cleaning scheduale

Seeing all those stems is a treat, and a double edged sword.
@phattpiggie and those spireled wood pieces.....and @stardustsailor with that knurled ti...
makes me go out and stand in front of my lathe, and ask it, "so, whatz you got, dude?"

seriously, thanks for the words and pics

Impressive Vapcap collection @Squiby I'm not even able to choose which one my favorite!! And that raw edge Dynastash is very nice too!!

For the omni intercooler experiment, as expected not a game changer at all... if I had not installed it myself, I probably would never noticed the difference. Maybe if you can tell the difference between the vapor of a regular vs xl vapcap you will notice a difference...but I can’t....
I will continue to use it until next cleaning...

@ElPic, the thermal conductivity K, of SS is about 14K, so, no cigar; however if a spiral
Strip of silver is used instead, you should notice a difference.

Thermal conductivity of silver is ~ 400K.

The low heat conductivity of Ti ( ~20K ) makes it a suitable host as VC stems,
as well as Stainless Steel, with its low conductivity. :spliff:

Perhaps the “intercooler” may be a pipe dream?

Thanks @stark1 , you learn me something today, I’m far from being a Thermal Conductivity specialist.
I don’t have silver strip to test this though... I would like that... for science!
After a couple sessions with the intercooler in, and a lot of resin build up on that intercooler, I start to wonder if the difference is not more noticeable than I thought at first...
Still testing.... maybe when I'm going to remove it after a week or two, I will see a difference.
But I would not pay extra money for this if that was an option directly from Dynavap, the difference is too subtle!

If someone is interested to send me Silver... or diamond... I will test this for you... for science LOL

I worked on a research project before I retired from the heat-sink industry. We used a vacuum
furnace to fill the spaces between diamond dust.
The heat-sinks feel cold to the touch, (pulls heat from fingertips). Tried to clean up over run on the edge. It just dressed the grinding wheel. Makes a fantastic knife sharpener. If I want the clicker to reset faster, I just set my VC on one, instant reset. Fun to play with. Doc

in regard to silver If you have a .9999 silver dollar or bar of about the same size...try this

put it on a plate and place an ice cube on it that ice cube will disappear in short order, and the silver will become ice cold You def dont want a silver mouthpiece outside on a cold wintery day
