Dynavap VapCap

My only con is there's only one size option; it's 2.5" long. I have big hands and I would love to see a 3" or tad longer version. There would be more breakage sure, but it might be worth it. That said, I'm sure I'll be getting used to these in no time at all. Cuz I'm going to use and abuse them over the weekend.

For $18 they're a great glass option for the vapcap.

Genuis idea @StringTheorista ..Totally want to grab a couple of those boiling stones. One thousand!!!! ...16 bucks isnt high...but 1000 ....anyone down to share this order maybe 4 or 5 ways im sure 200-250 is more than enough. I really have no need for 1000. If not guess I'll be sharing lol.. Oh I meant to ask has anyone had issues w caps sticking on ti tips when using an induction heater. Hasnt happned w my ss tip. Just curious if anyone has had this experience as im new to induction. Need one of those xl hulas too. But saving for a mrb and phatpiggie or 2 lol

I recently purchased the “ice” stem for my e-nano, and was amazed by how well it cools the vapor for that device. I decided to try to DIY something similar for my other vapes.

I bought a bag of borosilicate “boiling stones” (6mm) from Amazon, added a few to my Pulsar taster that fits a dynavap tip, added a fat mouthpiece to hold them in. I’m still figuring out the right number of marbles to maximize cooling without making the draw too tight. But so far I’m liking this approach. Cools well, and will be dead simple to clean.

Boiling beads are now repurposed to “cooling” beads? Haha
Such notions ( but works ).

I have a cap from a VC I dropped cap down, and the crimp is slightly .. uh.. uncrimped. The pressure to engage the switch on my JarHead is enough to push the tip past the crimp and the cap can be sticky. I use that cap with a VC I use a torch with and I rarely have a problem, but it can be annoying in an IH or when carrying it in a DynaStash.

I put my favorite ti tip and cap combo on the Ocean colored one, which I would call cobalt, and put my favorite SS tip and cap combo on the Appalachian Sunrise, which to me is a rusty orange color.

They are cool to look at, and as happens with glass, not identical.

If you've been looking to have a glass experience using the vapcap natively this is the best I've ever tried. The @DDave wands are fabulous in glass water pieces or j-hooks, and I have three at my beck and call 24/7, but I don't like the mouth feel enough to use them natively. And I think the larger diameter of the wands makes mouthpulls, my vapcap technique now, less effective.

These Hulas have a great mouth feel, and the nipples in the glass do cool the vapor. Quite a bit. And the results are outstanding. Mouthpulls yield great gobs of tasty vapor. And for me there's a sweet, clean taste to glass stems on any vape that enhance the experience for me. By a lot.

My favorite SS tip/cap combo worked even better than it did on its previous stem, and the Ti tip performed at least as well, if not a bit better, than it did on my Omni XL; that really surprised me.

These also reinforce the notion that the air inlet is really unnecessary if your approach to the vapcap is using mouthpulls.

I just recently got an "OG Chillum" 4 inch glass stem and am using the Titanium Tip in it. Imo, it's even better than the long Glass Charlie Spikey Glass Stem, and amidst, my Shadow M, NonaVong XLS, and others, it has become my new "Daily Driver"

Yes, it always does since you need to press down on the IH, I have a very small flat head screw driver which I use to un-stick it!

I only shopped Pete's US store where only one size was available. Good to know. As I'll definitely pick a couple up. Had an amazing night last night with the Hula stems. Tasty cool vapor, and I didn't have any trouble getting used to the length.

Since the Hula stems arrived I sorted out my Ti and SS tips. Good lord, how did I ever get so many? Must have been baked.

Anyway, since I've been having so much fun with my vapcaps I decided to really try to figure out the +/- of Ti vs SS.

And this is where I've arrived. I'm keeping Ti tips on my Dynavap-made pieces: my CF XL, '18 XL M, an Omni XL, but I've got SS on my three @DDave Water Wands and the two Hula stems.

And it's not about how long the two take to heat up or cool down, it's about draw restriction. Given that the glass pieces are all carbless I'm using mouth pulls natively or lung pulls through water, and the draw resistance from the SS really helps me build up bigger, thicker tasty clouds of vapor.

At times I have some minor breathing issues and have noticed since using this vape, that my breathing has improved somewhat.

Could be the draw resistance gives the chest muscles a workout, maybe?

Any thoughts?

I'm with you; I don't think it's the device as much as the vaporization of cannabis in general. Because I've noticed breathing easier since I started vaping, and I had vaped for about 6 months before I found the vapcap in the fall of '17.

On another note. I can't believe how different my sessions are with different lighters. I got a new VVay three flame torch from Amazon that just sucked dead donkey d*cks and went back to the Vertigo Cyclone and BOOM.

Had three amazing sessions with my Water Wands and Sneaky Pete Globe. Milky goodness.

Update on DIY cooling stem:
The glass marbles tend to want to settle down into the end of the vapcap tip when I put it on a magnet. If they stick there, they’ll block airflow through. A folded screen protruding from the end of the tip keeps that from happening.

Mind blown this morning, due to cognitive dissonance pressure relief valve malfunction

Had lent woodworker a popular battery vape (it begins with an m)

Got it back today, fully expecting raves. He’s only used the Omni for a few weeks

Said he likes the Omnivap vapor density better, too light with the battery vape. Puzzled, I asked about temp, but he had maxed it out. Also thought battery life would be a problem

There go my preconceived notions out the window, never too old to admit I’m still clueless about vapor consumption preferences

He brightened my day, though. Said he did a vaping demo with the Omnivap for a gathering of like minded fellow craft vendors, spreading the good word
