"only" 400?
Man, I bet I'm vapin on my M and my Solo II at low-temp compared to you kids.
Tryin to stay under 400--around 350 or so, keep from destroying what's left of my throat, lungs, trachea...health.

[plus: flavors!]

I’m not a high temp guy by any means, but in the comments to that video someone tried using the Dynavap in the box mod with the cap and it didn’t work, or took such a long time as to be functionally useless. So in this case “only 400” is in reference to the fact that for this application, that temp is too low to effectively vaporize the materials in a Dynavap with the cap applied.

I’m tempted to get a high powered box mod just to see if I could use it like an induction heater at higher temps. That would give me more versatility than a standalone IH in that I could use it the way the guy in the video did AND I could get stuff like a Splinter or a Sai too.

@Monk Debate its a Lynx Gaia vaporizer and the tip fits in the oven. My friend just got one, I'll ask him to try it and bring it round next time he's up this way.

It'd be interesting to see if there is another way other than butane and IH.

A high power box mod won't work like an induction heater but you could make a coil and heat the VC with it as @antispleen did a while back.

I will have to look into that.

In other news, I just got a set of four single flame butane torches. Up till now I was just using a triple flame torch. I’m very much looking forward to dialing in my technique with the single flame.

Or......choose a nice sized nugget and poke it through your condenser(s) with something like a large toothpick. It should come out the other end a lovely sticky gunky ball of extra-mellow goodness ready to pop in the Cap and vaaaape :D
Yes bro I've already got the reclaim I used a BBQ stick the one you use for kebab and pushed it through loads of sticky glob but I love the idea of what you said I'll try that next time

I use organic cotton just like hemp fiber because I can’t find the fiber. Put the cotton in. Add a very small abount if concentrate. Heat to the click or a second after, I’ve never had bad experience
I'll try this i was worried the cotton might combust I was in a vape lounge once when a guy was using a dripper but he forgot to drip is device set on fire he was the shop owner never seen anyone coughing so much it kinda scares me don't want that shit in my lungs after five years of fuck combustion sorry for the double post (admin)

Man oh man the single flame torch is where it’s at! I’m getting even more flavor and much more control over the session. George has said in his videos that triple or quad flame torches are easier because they disperse the heat over a larger surface area, which means a more even heat with less effort and less heat up time, which I agree with. However I think those conveniences are at the expense of the some flavor and the ability to finely tune your heating in a given session.

I’m very glad I picked up these single flame torches. They’ve made me love the Dynavap even more. I’m not even sure I want to bother with an induction heater at the moment.

The single flame torch also really makes me want to try a Sticky Brick.

Agree. I started with single flame before I knew I was supposed to start with triple flame, and will always prefer it for flavor.

The triple has its place, especially outdoors or where discretion is needed (since so much faster), but for flavor chasing, single is pretty great.

Can't recommend this thing enough, it cools the vapor significantly and it looks beautiful.

I have quite a few generations of tips but never can extract them in one hit. Care to elaborate how you do this? That's awesome man.

Me either, and I mean dry, with water/glass, whatever. Even if I really push the heat, there's always a little left. I think that those who claim one hit are not fully extracting their herb because they either don't like the taste of the second half of the hits, or they are leaving a little on purpose to eat later.

Nice. I have one of the same on the way to me right now. The tracking showed that it made it to the USA a couple days ago, so hopefully I will have it early this week. I plan to order the 2019 M before the sale ends on the 31st, so I'll get a Ti tip and cap for it then.

If you like the single flame, try one of these:
https://www.amazon.com/Lighter-Grinding-Butane-Windproof-Cigarette/dp/B01LJBINES

They can be found for cheaper than what is in that link. That was just the first thing that popped up in google. You should be able to find them for something like $8 - $12...and I found some on Amazon a while back for $25 for five of them.

They have a bit of a small tank, but I don't mind refilling them a bit more often.

The video above is not really using the vapcap as a VapCap but a stem for th lynx vaporizer. Done the same with my Fury2 but it’s far more an adaptation of the Fury2 than an adaptation of the VapCap.

People do use box mods to heat the cap to click, not as quick as an IH though. . And yes the Fury or lynx will not get hot enough to click the VC. The requirement for over 400 or whatever to heat the VC to click does not mean you are vaping at over 400. . . A lighter is way hotter. .

@mrb, have you tried pre-heating the Fury after setting it to its maxtemp before inserting
The VapCap (with cap on)?

While the little Fury may well be challenged, its larger sibling Fierce may at its higher
Maxtemp do the trick? & click.

Anyone familiar with this heater.
Apparently you can dial in any temp pre click.

Any particular box mod that works really well for heating with a cap to click that you know of?

As it comes up once or thrice some highly technical stuff happened in my kitchen the other day.
Precision equipment timed to the to the hundredth of a second
My figures could well be really far out but they do show how much the airflow of the different tips has evolved. The same cap was used throughout.
IMG-20190324-134522.jpg

Left to right
Gen 1. 0.06 litres per minute
Gen 2. 0.44l/m
Gen 3. 0.65l/m
Gen 4, 7fin LE and Gen 5 all came out at around 0.69l/m
Modded 18M. 0.62l/m
19M. 0.73l/m
ShadowM. 0.74l/m, with the black cap, which are known to be a looser fit, the flow was 0.93l/m

How much does it cost to have it shipped to usa? Does it have a carb hole? Seems like it would be to restricted without a hole

Speaking of different approaches to providing energy for ones Vapcap, what about plasma energy?

https://lonesurvivoredc.com/collect...lasma-survival-lighter?variant=25791160615012

Waterproof, USB powered, light up a candle 100-200 times on a full charge, rugged, heavy duty, $24.99USD?

Sounds great to have just to have!

A buddy of mine uses one of those (not for a Dynavap!), and they are very cool, but the problem as I see it is that the plasma discharge sits very close to the prongs. You’d have to find a lighter with extremely high and wide clearance in order to fit the Dynavap into the plasma discharge, and then you’re spinning the Dynavap directly in the middle of the heat source, which may not be ideal if the plasma is as hot or hotter than butane.

OK, so here come the rationalizations...

Ya know, I have been wondering about the wings on the new Ti tips, and how much they may influence air flow. I really think I need one of those to see if I am missing anything. And of course, I KNOW that some time in the near future I am going to find some decent wax or hash or other form of concentrate and I will need a Dynacoil to try it out without having to wait for however slow shipping may be at that moment (like right after a sale). And that new tip on the 2019 M with the serpentine style groves. That is fascinating and I HAVE to know how well it works and if maybe that will be the future of the Ti tip too. And the new stem style for the M is quite lovely and eventually must be in my collection.

And then there is the 20% off and free shipping. Since I KNOW I will need these things in the future, why not take advantage of the sale? It's hard to imagine that a 420 sale could be any better, really, and if I wait for it it might not include free shipping. There really in no point in paying more, even if this purchase will have to go on credit.

So, I guess I HAVE to place this order for a 2019M and a tip/Dynacoil kit, right?

Yes, because the 20% off and free shipping on the Ti tip + coil kit is a HUGE savings over standalone purchases of a Ti tip and coil, and still a substantial savings over a standalone not discounted purchase of the kit by itself.

I'll spare you my “rationale” but it started at just a 2019 M and a dynacoil ... that was an XL omnivong and a BUNCH of other toys ago so be careful it’s a real slippery slope!
