@nnickers welcome!
If you are waiting for a 40% sale then you might be disappointed. . If i remember correctly, during the many many sales that DV have done over the years ,the 40% only happened once last 420 and may never happen again.
And given that the internet was awash at the time with complaints over slow CS and shipping during that insanely busy period for DV, I can easily see them not bothering to do it again. (but George is the kind to tackle things with kindness so. . . )

And depending on your habits, are there potential savings you could make over the next two months with the ridiculous efficiency of the VapCap? It immediately halved how quickly I get through my weed purchases. . .

I was searching online yesterday and did see that their sales are usually only 20% with that one exception, but at this point we're close enough to 4/20 that it just seems irresponsible not to wait and see.

As for potential savings in the meantime: I'm lucky enough to have a free source. I smoked from 8th-10th grade as a kid, semi-often in college, and since then basically whenever my friends passed me a joint. Recently, though, a friend who grows (it's legal here) told me that he 's growing far more than he could ever use and that he'd happily keep me stocked. So while a vape's efficiency is definitely one of the big draws for me, it's not for economic reasons. More that I'm an extreme lightweight and simply don't need anything which packs more than a few hits.

My fiance is a nurse who'd barely ever smoked throughout her life but has been loving it lately as it helps her sleep consistently when she's scrambling between 12-hour day and night shifts. I'm definitely less into it and have only smoked on my own once so far, but I'll typically smoke with her when she does. The problem is: both of us hate the actual act of smoking.

I started doing research into vapes (I've only ever used a few, probably cheap, desktops at friend's places in the past) and was dismayed by how poorly built they seem to be across the field. Even the Crafty/Mighty that seem to have the widest popular support are ugly, made of plastic, and people boast that "mine has lasted 2-3 years already!" I grew up doing a lot of carpentry; I appreciate craftsmanship and when I buy something I want it to last. This is why the Vapcaps immediately leapt out at me when I learned of them. The butane requirement bothers me as being wasteful, but it seems the lesser of two evils when the other is buying a whole new electronic device every few years.

Anyway, don't know why I just explained all that! Thanks for the kind welcomes!

Now that we have a concentrate insert, I want to beg someone to make an induction heater with the port in the top and be small enough to be portable! The flux Deluxe is small, sexy, and sleek but I can’t see a way to use it in public with the position of the port.
The Portside mini by pipes is a good contender as I could possibly fit it in a jacket pocket?

Does anyone care to disagree? Can these IH be carried and used if I display a little subtlety ?

Hey man, I can relate to everything you are saying. But now I wonder why you want the omni?

I feel like the more minor details of vape preference and setup are normally debated by either 'heavy pot users' and/or ex-smokers as there is more of a void to fill as it were. If you are a part-time lightweight (respect) who just wants to eliminate the smoke, I think the M will suit you fine!

For example, I don't like or use M tips because I find they give me less vapour and less of a throat hit. Having been a long time smoker of pot and tobacco, that's still something I like (YMMV). But I still get high when I use an M.

Obviously, get what you like. Your'e allowed to get an omni just cos it's pretty, this thread is 50% about that :) Just offering thoughts. . .

@Sweet Jane I think he was just talking about any of the many 510 attachments with coils that get so hot they glow and people put concentrates directly onto those coils in many cases. That’s never seemed like a great option to me.

I get it and I share a lot of your feelings about most vaporizers, but I would also pick up at least an M or something cheaper as soon as possible so you don’t get too used to smoking. That can make the transition more difficult for some people because it is somewhat different when you’re not inhaling all of the combustion byproducts.

Also, while you found one of the great long-lasting options here, the NewVape FlowerPot is one of the best desktops and it should last a lifetime too (apart from the heating coil which will need replacement at some point and possibly the controller box the coil’s attached to), and the Nomad is one of probably several portables that should last a very long time too. Simple unregulated circuit using a swappable 18650 battery.

There’s some other good stuff out there too, but yeah, I wasn’t too impressed with the longevity of most of them either.

Welcome indeed. I have never used butane. As I understand it you will vape mostly inside; you might enjoy a small nicely designed lamp using liquid paraffin.

I am quite certain you will be pleased with the result, a little liquid paraffin goes a very long way and is quite affordable. And you get the added value of a cool and restful ambiance for the evening.

As well as a great start for a weekend like... now! Everybody have an enjoyable one. :)

I can only quote myself and can say it works really well on the go.

Portside Mini fits good in a jacket pocket or baggy jeans :) good that is now winter here so I have enough options to carry my Portside Mini with me. Easy for on the go hitting, Portside Mini in my jacket pocket, omni in my hand in my jacket pocket search the hole stick it in waiting for the feel of the click and inhale :)

My brain tells me that you're right, that I should save the money and be happy with an M. But my heart...

My general thinking is: if I buy one vaporizer to last my lifetime, would I regret not buying the Omni for the long haul?

Enjoy yourself. We go around only once.

Try out the latest version of the M. If you like it, take a leap of faith, and before you know it,
You will be smiling from ear to ear with your new Omni.

Never looked back.

@FabulatorPoeta Does the paraffin smoke up the VapCap? Gotta link to that light-bulb? Doc

@Dynalowrider The paraffin flame leaves very little residue, always depending of course on the angle you give to the Vapcap and where you put it in/about the flame. I don't know about the alcohol burner but personnally I don't find it esthetically pleasing for a living room space. Beauty is part of the experience imo :)
The light bulb lamp is an example I found on the Net. It's distributed in Europe and certainly must be in North America. https://www.design-im-shop.de/english-uk/gifts-decoration/oil-lamps/

I've got a smaller (and nicer) one ;), a gift from a dear one years ago; sorry I am not really skilled in uploading pictures, so I can't show you.

Hah you almost had me with that "try the M first" business. But then the "Never looked back" sentiment is what I've seen all over the internet and what's made me think I should just skip the M, saving money that way, and go straight for the Omni.

Because they have different characteristics, having both is well worth the total experience.

Plus, you will soon want an IH.
Custom stems. Dynacoils, Etc. Etc. ;)

You are now approaching the event horizon of the Dynaverse!

So you have both and still choose to use the M over the Omni sometimes? I'm curious: what makes you go to the M, and how often does that happen?

Not op. But the M is like driving manual transmission and the Omni is like an automatic.

Sometimes you just want to be in total control.

Off topic. I have an itch to buy an XL Omni and an IH.

The flux deluxe looks amazing. The basic lucid is enticing as well. I just wish there was one built for stealth or car conditions. (Afterwork drive home CBD)

Does anyone know for how long the vape is in the chamber, or is it there until I draw? :hmm: Im just wondering since I sometimes not inhale everything in one draw

With this vape it's kind of a two part process. Heating the cap with the flame will vape some and actually inhaling your draw will bring heat to the herb. Basically If you heat it would, you want to hit it after the click.

I'd suggest an M from the dynabuilder but get it with a titatinum tip, it's 70 that way. But sounds like you really wanna just get an Omni so you might as well get 1
