I'm pretty much a failure at avoiding the syndrome.
I probably have too many vapes
I have one and it's a great vape. You should ask questions about it in the VXL thread, though. Let's try (I know it's hard) to keep this thread on topic.Does anyone here have 1?
I know that a while back Dynavap was selling some sandblasted models for a short period. Do you think they would custom make an Omni with either a steel or titanium body? Do they still do custom models at all? Sorry if this is a dumb question, I am just trying to look at all my options before I finally give in to the VAS.
Why not contact DV direct and ask them? They may very well have a few lying around that aren’t listed. Most companies I wouldn’t bother with this question if it wasn’t in their shop but DV is different. I’d ask. If they don’t, then I would most definitely holler at @mrb because sandblasting is his jam. SDS does metal lathe work but I don’t recall him doing any sandblasted stems. Btw, welcome here and FC in general!I know that a while back Dynavap was selling some sandblasted models for a short period. Hi all, since our beloved device makes it so damn easy to get inspired I'd like to share a new VapCap design I made with the help of an Omni Woody XLS and some conductive substances. It features an anodized piston that can be used with the mouthpiece to dial in one of five color indicated air flow levels. There are three models, PCA (piston controlled air flow, depicted), PCA XL and PCA XLS. The whole design is completely V.A.S. compliant.
Let me know what you think.
Long live Dynavap
There is only one cure for VAS. Poverty. And it works as long as you don't allow easy credit to bring you down...
FYI, I think I would prefer VAS as long as it didn't lead to poverty.
(Hobby, yeah, funny, I've been using that one. See above...)
It's my hobby. I used to buy pc parts. I still do for my server, but my gaming spending is more towards vapes now. It's actually cheaper and more satisfying. It's my favorite hobby learning about the tech and seeing where it advances etc.
I'd say many of us consider this a hobby on here hence why we enjoy talking to each other. I generally don't have much of anything in common with most users. They don't care. They will burn their joint or blunt and not remotely care to learn or discuss anything about Marijuana. Here, we really get into everything. Vapes, grinders, heating methods, glassware, knockoff glass etc.
I'd say yes some people are smokers/vapers. But here a lot more people take it as a hobby and really enjoy it.
I'd parallel it to my music experience. Lots of people like to listen to music. Very few people e joy getting into the nitty gritty of getting great performing speakers, learning how the industry is extremely overpriced/underperformance, and getting into the diy rabbit hole of building amazing speaker designs that outpace anything you can buy retail for even 5x the price.
If I talk to anyone outside of avsforum about music in that manner it's not enjoyable for them.
If you're on here, I'd say this is more to you than just something you do, it's something you're truly probably passionate about and care far more intimately about than 95% of the population.
/end long post
Gethigh with marijuana is the only goal in my life at this moment
And I am certainly one of them. I laughed because while calling this a hobby helps me rationalize the money I have spent on it, vaping and it's associated accoutrements are much more a hobby than combusting ever was. I am sure in the 4+ years I have been vaping I have purchased more kit than I did the previous 40+ years and I am good with that because I find it fun and entertaining. For the most part, other than some silly contraptions in school and with friends, combusting cannabis was pretty much all about getting high. Now it is definitely more like a process and a challenge and (dare I say) a movement. Vaping is harder than just twisting up a fattie and applying a match. The process is fun in itself.I'd say many of us consider this a hobby on here hence why we enjoy talking to each other. I generally don't have much of anything in common with most users. That Nonavong with the screamer on it has always been my favorite. Natures artwork...
I concur so long as it doesn't interfere with my $$ budgeting. It's no coincidence cash is called "liquid" easy come easy go.The process is fun in itself.

Hi guys, new vapcap M owner, my second vape and my first Dynavap. Got a little issue...
I was already baked from my Solo2 and I decided what a great time to try this vapcap out! Well everything was going grand. It worked like a champ and I though, yeah I’m sufficiently high but that was so fun I gotta light it again! Oh hell no, I like a dumbass did the thing they warn you about, thought it had cool down clicked but obviously it had not because shortly after torching smoke started rolling out and I was like FUUUUUUCCCCKKKK!!!!!!! Talk about the stench of 100 roaches!!!
Well I watched the dynavap videos and I got it all cleaned up but here’s the issue.... I heard him say don’t soak the cap, just swab it out. Well I swabbed the hell out of the cap inside and out with 91% iso alcohol and q-tips. It’s clean looking but it still stinks like a roach. Any thoughts?
