Okay, Ladies and Gentlemen...
Let‘s leave health aside.
Let‘s leave taste aside.
Let‘s leave efficency aside.

Let’s only talk about aesthetics:

My Vapcap & ABV container on the left, my friend‘s „equipment“ on the right. I mean... Isn‘t it obvious? If @ataxian would be here, then he'd probably drop a CIVILIZED on this occasion.

Since we are on the topic of cleaning the device, I plan on cleaning it once a week. Now, in order to do so, I just dissemble the device and remove both o-rings from the condenser. Then, I just put all the parts into an iso bath over night followed by a good rinse and it should be cleaned, correct?

Also, do we throw the cap in some ISO as well? Just plan to use ISO 91% as I am in CA and everclear isn't a readily-available option. Thank you!
I basically do the same. I put the condenser and screen in an everclear jar and save that reclaim in the jr of everclear. The bowl part of the top I just wipe clean with a iso soaked qtip, I don’t put it in the everclear because I don’t want to take the prints off. I’ve never had to clean my cap.

Matter of fact, I haven’t even used their super special condenser filter discs thing for months since my ceramic one broke. I just cut a screen to size at push it down in the bowl instead. Never comes out and I haven to noticed any performance differences. Poosibly it gets clogged a bit faster?

thats so obvious. What I realized just after I went vaping only was the fact that as a common combustion user, I had the smell of that ashtray all over me.

I am so happy that I am over it... still fighting my nicotine addiction with liquids but at least no combustion anymore. Reduced to 3mg today. I hope to get rid of it completely finally one day... But VCs are here to stay forever. :peace:

Good luck! You’re on the right track. SO much easier to kick e-cig vapes than the real thing. That’s how I did it. Fuck combustion. When I think of my beautiful pink lungs covered in tar... Plus I’m in healthcare. There are only so many people you can help treat that have lung cancer or brain cancer before you realize you’re looking at your future unless you make a change.

Hi everyone! This is my first post here and it's going to be a long one :) I got my first vaporizer, an M, a month back and I'm absolutely loving it. Would love to share the excitement with this crowd, and also have a few questions.

The excitement...
I'd never tried any vaporizer of any kind before. I'd read/watched vape reviews for years, but everything good was either too expensive or unavailable here in India.
Enter Dynavap. It promised to be everything I wanted. Sturdy, portable, affordable, battery-free and overall just a brilliant piece of engineering. I also have a soft spot for all things analog. Still, I had my apprehensions...right up to the moment I took my first hit.
I switched straight from 3-4 joints (with tobacco mixed, no less) daily to vaping my M, and it's been amazing, for all the reasons you already know.

Questions...
1. Every once in a while, I see a glowing red hot spot on my cap when I'm heating it. I'm using the vertigo twin flame zippo-style lighter. I keep cap in the outer blue flame and yes, I'm spinning fairly rapidly. Every time the red spot appears, I stop heating instantly, and within the next 1-2 seconds, the cap usually clicks (that'd be the excess heat taking time to flow upwards). I expect this to not happen once I get the spinning right, but I'm still worried about my cap. Has anyone experienced this? How worried should I be?

2. I'm seeing a lot of discoloration on the tip, on the outside and inside of the bowl, and also between the bowl and the first cooling fin. I'm not sure if it's oxidation or a residue film. Any idea? I'm okay with the oxidation on the cap, but would like a cleaner tip.

3. In my head I'm already thinking of the next upgrade (low immunity to VAS). I want Titanium in my life, no doubt. But I'm undecided between the Omni XL and a Ti-stem with Ti spinning MP (dynabuilder). Definitely leaning towards the latter, because I really want a spinning MP and don't particularly mind using the carb hole. Is there any other difference?

Thanks in advance, and also for the ton of useful advice I had found here even before I held my M.

I'm also in CA, and isn t the Everclear situation a pain? At least weed is legal. I don't actually drink, but Everclear would be handy in so many situations related to weed. Cleaning, for one.

I'm betting that will come from Greece... ;)

My go to and favourite stash tool whilst out and about. Its discreet and robust.
The screwed fittings are O ringed, so its pretty smell proof.
Looks like a Felt Marker Pen to the untrained eye. The stash in the cap has enough storage to keep me vapcap sized nugs all day long.
The aluminium tubes don't take wooden body/stem vongs with thicker diameters, but I'm not bothered about taking them outside the house anyway.
If you go for the XL version you get the extension tube, which when removed takes it down to a 92mm vapcap type.
I keep a small ball of hemp fibre in the tube as spare, and also to stop my XL Ti Omni rattling.
I liked mine so much I bought another!

Interplanetary Developement has one in Aluminum that is pretty nice.

V4M : Value 4 Money... I can live with that, a green Ti Omni XL and an IH

And you would know I got it for a good V4M, or didn't get it at all  (This being the only reason I got a 2017 M for €23 after I had already had an Omni XL on the way.)

Containers: Recently got my yjars, and they look very nice. Shame they don't come in bigger sizes. Not that long ago, I discovered UNDURCUVUR (or something like that) and they have some very promising smell/drop proof jars. One size only, but look like decent competition for the yjars. Has anyone tried them? I haven't got them yet, bringing them from across the pond means there's a chance I'll get stuck with extra taxes (again!).

The ones in the "Vaposhop" style (T-vacs?) are so so, and will break after some time, they're not really smell proof (possibly for humans) as the "dirty" air inside is cleared when you close the lid, thus contaminating with smell stored inside. The sides of the lid also get caked, which makes it stuck, and would crack the lid over time.

Cleaning: Has anyone tried PWB on their vapcaps? I understand that it might rust some metal (it's meant for glass), but as their models are either SS or Ti, it should be fine, no? I recently used PWB to clean a bong that had been sleeping funky :worms: and continued to do so after a couple of hrs in an ISO rinse. PWB fixed the smell that the ISO couldn't remove.

Using a bit of hemp fibre under the screen keeps the condenser as new for a long time. And as was mentioned, a qtip dipped in ISO used in the bowl after it's been used keeps the vapcap very clean.

Concentrates: I still have to make a metal mesh from a mighty metal mesh (thinking to use the one meant for the Mighty chamber (instead of the capsules), as I only use the mighty with caps and don't have any other use for that bigger pad. I haven't had the chance to practice much with concentrates, have used reclaim instead (all in the name of science), with hemp filter, which has been also what I have used with my dry sieve (or no fibre at all, just dip and lit).

Question: When you get a new tip (SS or Ti) does it comes with a cap, or am I just wishing?

V4M
PBW is made for stainless steel also. Not sure about titanium. Typically titanium is less reactive than stainless steel even (yeah yeah yeah, super reactive but oxide layer, I know), but I don’t know how it would do in PBW.

Tips and caps are sold separately.

In other news, anyone know of any online vendors that might still have an original Omni??? I just saw one and I’m hooked.

Yes, you're wishing. The tips and caps are sold separately.

Currently the 6th generation titanium tips are for sale as well as the 2nd(?) generation stainless steel tips.

From time to time, engraved caps are made available to make our hearts go pitter patter.
