I’ve never smoked, but I think a lot of the comparisons to smoking with a VapCap are to the way it’s used more than the effects, although it does also work for a lot of smokers (more joint smokers?) effects-wise.

I wouldn’t discourage you from getting a VapCap, and you may love it, but in my experience getting a larger hit with more energetic and intense mental effects (which can easily get to be too much for me) is more in the wheelhouse of a powerful desktop like the NewVape FlowerPot.

If you’re at all interested in concentrates I’d get the VRod head, if not the ShowerHead is also a great choice. Check out the FP thread for more info, but I’m pretty sure it’ll give you what you’re looking for.

There are also some other good desktop options like the Evo, Glass Symphony, Herborizer, etc. but I haven’t tried them so I can’t compare the effects. I just know for me the VapCaps are more sedative and mellow, and if I hit the FlowerPot hard it really hits me back. :freak:

I think a good amount of the difference is caused by mostly conduction (VC) vs full convection (FP) along with the more stable and optionally higher temps of the FP.

With the price of a VapCap M so low though, it’s also well worth a try. I think some of the VonGs (which you can use with or without glass) are only a little more too, and they’re all on sale right now. Even if it doesn’t fill all of your needs, it may be exactly what you want sometimes. Right now it’s my most used vape, just not my hardest hitting option. :)

Personally I prefer the Omni XL (currently with a carbon fiber stem) to the M, but I use both. Dry I definitely like the titanium tip on either, but if you like more draw restriction you might prefer the stainless steel tip the M comes with.

I ended up giving my last @DDave glass wand away to a pal. I had given him an 2018 M. He gifted it to a work buddy thinking I still had a 2017M I could give him. I had given away the 2017 M the day before.
I had a tip, a cap and the glass wand so it went home with him.
Just received the replacement. At this price trying the vap through carbless glass is easy. Search in your couch for some coin, skip Starbucks one day this week.
To me the vapor tastes better through glass.

The Dynavap is more of a punch to the head than other vapes. I have an ArGo, Sticky Brick Jr in addition to my Vaps and after a few pulls on my vap I can make a load go from Green and Sticky to almost black, but not charred. So I’m getting all the plant can give me really quick. Whereas on my ArGo it takes longer to vape all the flower, and I can’t vape it to the same amount of darkness. My Sticky Brick is as potent but again, takes longer to finish the load. The vapcap is the most efficient though. I can literally vape the flower to nothingness and not burn it.

Because of that I think it’s more potent. It’s the closest to smoking bud as far as effects go. I can get that dumb, heavy stone off my Dynavaps and I can’t get that on my other vapes in such a quick manner.

Try rosin. Easily my favorite high out of vaping flower, smoking etc. I can’t imagine ever smoking again since I found it.

Enjoyed your post. :) And I can identify with your experience with the Vapcap. Yesterday I got 7 sessions off the same tiny bowl of bud. And the bud was no where near combusted when all done. I had done 6 sessions before, but yesterday just thought why not see what would happen with a 7th session. It was good, much like the 6th. Wonder what an 8th would be like. Ha

I have a Plenty and a Solo and I whole heartily recommend a Vapcap to go along with those. A desktop power house, a set it and forget it sipper, and a butane driven heavy hitter make a great combustion fucking trifecta.
An Omni Vapcap delivers a hit that is closest to smoking to me. The Plenty can get the eyes watering and snot flowing, but it's different than a great yank off of my Omni. It just scratches the itch a little differently.

Do you mind directing me towards such articles etc? I'd love to have some scientific arguments while I try to explain why I find vaping better than smoking. My own experiences don't seem to convince. I'm a "lightweight" after all, so they don't take me that seriously.
I for one prefer vaping and have no intention of going back. I tried to have a puff after 2 weeks of quitting smoking and I coughed my lungs out and kept coughing for 3 hours. So... yes, no smoking for me.
