Nice to see you are enjoying yourself, @Whissmu , & your PP!

My friend Moose and I are secluded in a small 4 bedroom cottage on Nausett Heights on Cape Cod. Only place on
Continental US where a foreign submarine shot and sunk a tugboat and its four barges. :mental:

Ha-ha. All survived.

Inspired Anyone know why you can't choose the spinning Ti Spinning mouthpiece if you want to build a non Omni XL setup?
An Omni is an Omni because of its finely milled threaded condenser/mouthpiece assembly that sits snuggly in place with orings.

The mp screws onto the condenser. When it is screwed all the way together, the condensers overall length is shortened and that allows fresh air to come into the airport, down to the tip and up into the condenser.

As you unscrew the mp, the length becomes increasingly longer and the beveled condenser end moves into the tip, obstructing air flow. Set your desired air restriction and time away.

All other Vapcaps have a straight tube condenser held in place with x-rings. It is this condenser that a spinning mouthpiece can fit onto, again secured with x-rings.

You can have an Omni OR you can have a Vapcap with a spinning mp.

Here is an Omni next to a Ti Woody S with a Blackwood body and a spinning burl mp.

Here they are disassembled.

And the condenser and mps apart.

EDIT: Sorry. I misread the question to ask why they could not have a spinning mp on an Omni...

@Squiby Thanks for the detailed response. I actually needed that as well.

@KidFated. is correct. Wondering why you can't choose the ti spinning mouthpiece in Dynabuilder? I guess you just choose "no mouthpiece " and add it a la carte?

I have used the XL condenser and spinning mouthpiece from my XLS nonavong with the XL Omni stem with great results. I myself do not find the omni condenser/mouthpiece necessary. But I am all about the XL stem length.

Can anyone help point me in the direction of where I can pickup a ti-woody? Ive been scouring the net and even reached out to dynavap with no luck! Specifically looking for cocobolo, would settle for a blackwood as well!

Please put me down for an MXL as well. Love the look.

In other news, I put up a video review and demo of the Water Wands from @DDave

Pretty cool accessory for the vapcap, IMO

There are more pics and comparisons available in the editorial version.

I *kinda* want to have one with a carb hole, but I'm cool without it.
Hey Troy,
I just had a chance to take a look and as always your videos and reviews are accurate and top-notch!
See the reply to Summer about the carb.

I would like the @DDave stems in cobalt blue & the option to get the long stem with a carb hole.
Summer (and all),
There are a lot of logistics behind creating variances of the mods that I offer. Without going into a lot of details behind what's going on, an offering on colors or carbless versus carb would only result in one thing, a price increase to the customer. I hope that in my service to The Vaping Community you've all seen that I've done what I can to keep prices as low as possible without going into the red.
Variances are ordered in lower volume.
Resulting in higher cost per piece.
So that's carbs vs carbless.
Then add to that colors.
Another bump in price.
Now don't get me wrong, my glass guy is amazing and he can make all the custom pieces that you want at all the pricing level of individual custom made items. Not many would go for these, as if they broke, same price to replace.
What I provided with this wand and the shorter one is the most cost-effective way to make it complete vapcap powered vaporizer consisting of vapcap cap $20, stainless steel tip for $25,both from dynavap and the wand or glass vapcap body from yours truly. Add a 14 or 18 mm cheap Chinese Water tool of your choice and you've got one long-lasting hard-hitting efficient vaporizer in your hands .
One day maybe. But for now I need to serve the masses.

but the grip of the M also gets quite warm
Not an issue with my longwater one and barely warm with the shorty.

Check out 420 Vape Zone video review for his input on wand temp. Troy is amazing and he calls it like it is!

Fair enough. Although I will say $ isn't really the issue so the begging part is mainly for a source :)

I got that blackwood double crown and the chakte kok spinning mouthpiece from puff it up maybe a month ago. Perhaps I go the last one? I couldn't find one anywhere else. Yeah it sure is nice, one of my favorites. I think I would call them up. Otherwise maybe one will go up for sale in the classifieds. :p

Does the body of the double crown stay cool while your going thru heat cycles? My M heats up so much, this is my main reason for wanting to switch. I feel like the wood would do a much better job keeping the body cool and also a smaller footprint than the vong bodies for EDC...

Huh, no more slim wood stems, that’s a shame. And like another member said, there’s only the slim carbon midsections that are non metal now =\.

I don’t feel that the nona vongs are even half as elegant as the original double crowns and don’t close the gap in the product line. I wonder if the slim wood will come back?

In my experience the double crowned stem doesn't get hot.

About the M: have you thought about buying a XL condenser and a spinning mouthpiece to make a M XL? The added length makes it easier to avoid the hottest part of the body close to the tip.

@Winegums I love the slim wood bodies and stems aesthetically, but I had a stem that changed a bit in size. The first few months I could insert the tip easily, but now the tip doesn't fit anymore :\

That is likely why they are discontinued besides being made from exotic wood. The wood is very thin and doesn’t offer much in the way of strength.

Thanks , have always wondered about this kind of stuff. No kidding. If I may ask how long did each run take? How long is in one sitting, (ballpark). Interested in this stuff, thanks and Cheers, D.

I vape whenever I am awake:). I am retired hurt from the mining industry so I spend my time growing and consuming pot. I am homophobic (I don`t like leaving home much:lol:) so I have a lot of time to consume.
The one sitting where the lighter outlasted me was about 5 hours for 60 heat cycles, click to click (that was all I could handle for the day otherwise I would not have been able to have my Plenty night cap). I usually take one big mouth pull per cycle, sometimes 2, just to make sure I get a cool down click.

@davesmith loving the way stuff is turning out.

Not that I have any bias but the twists in the 'works in progress' take that clear glass to another dimension.

Come on fellow VC'ers show this man a bit of support, a few of you have been after some nice glass stems.

I'll be in touch Mr Smith:brow:

I have one piece from him already. Before that I had never tried glass, condenserless, or carbless . After my first few sessions with it I was fighting myself not to run in and place another order. I don't know what it is, maybe all in my head, but the glass seems to make my hits smoother and cooler than my store bought set ups. Yesterday, a buddy stopped by whom I had given an omni set up last month. He's new to it and over the month is using it more and more to where this was his first visit to re-fill his torch. I gave him a toke through the glass. His remark was, "wow thats smooth".

As you can see from above I would eventually lose the fight and ended up buying three more from him. I'm a sucker for something that works well and is beautiful.

So on the glass body idea, if you haven't tried it I strongly urge you to do so.
