Shit, if you make one that works well I'll buy one. I have a pretty okay setup with a random socket extension from a tiny tool set but it isn't as easy as I feel like it could be.
@stardustsailor that would be cool. I think a dowel made of wood or some metal with a 7.5mm diameter might be perfect. Make it a couple inches long and maybe have it taper near the other end to use to poke out the screen from the other end. Right now I use the remnants of a wooden skewer to pop the screen out through the other end of the tip, and use the Flair to position the screen in the smallest setting. Works great. But it'd be nice to have one tool for both.
Just 5 minutes ago ,I've finished one quicky...
Took measurements about the diameters ,but due to my enthousiasm I forgot all about measuring lengths.
So ,that one can not pop out the CCD (by using it's thin end). It's kinda sort ...
But I've made it just for you to get the whole idea ,how should look more or less .
Meanwhile ,the thick end installs a CCD very easily to all three CCds positions.
And it has ( a quite badly made -due to the lack of a decent small drill vice ) a hole for
a ball chain ! A very special ...talisman .
During the coming weekend I will probably make 4 or 5 of them .
I will post more about the "VapCap CCD setting tool" at my thread .
Stainless steel and
Titanium Grade 5 are the material options .
Cheers.
