Lo and Behold! The transformative power of Vapor.
Daaaaammmmnn. haven't been on this thread for a minute.
Hope you are up for doing a review on the upcoming IH. :brow:

Having been a smoker for 30 years I find the weight and feel of a torch very natural to me which is why I never had any interest in the induction heater. Nevertheless I can't help but feel curious why so many prefer using it to a torch? Is there something I am missing and should be aware of?
I don't pretend to know all the science. But the mass of the cap gets heated as opposed to the surface absorbing heat. The caps are ferrous (have iron content that makes them magnetic) so the pulsing electric field created by the IH causes the iron to move rapidly and cause the heat to occur. To grossly oversimplify the heat is generated within mass of the cap. :science:

I like that when I use a VC with glass I can pop the portside mini on top of the cap while leaving it placed in the glass.

I finally get it now. :hmm: This is a game changer. And now I'm brainstorming. :science: Already asked Vape Critic to try something for me for in a live stream with his IH and an ELB. And he came up with a different vape method using a VC as a stem.

@cybrguy After having been on the M tip for so long I thought I should try out the Ti again and I can honestly say I didn't enjoy it anywhere near as much as I do the SS.

Using the same weed I found the Ti over and done with too soon, the thing that really threw me was the vapor production on the Ti seemed way behind the SS.
I thought there would be an equal amount, Ti giving fewer bigger hits and the SS giving a couple more but less dense.
SS seemed to give me more vapor overall, a SS tip with a bit more mass would be a nice.

@stark1 the Lipo took me by surprise the first time I used it, I PM'd @Pipes saying it was a bit fierce.
I couldn't go back to the 18650's now.

@fcmember here's my findings on battery power.

As for the gas you people have no idea what I go thru, garden peas are a nightmare.
5 maybe 10 minutes after she's eaten them they are floating around like Casper just not so friendly.
She's the best thing that's ever happened to me, I wouldn't change her in any way.

That’s why I made this one

That lens distortion is odd.

Interesting that you said that. I would expect the SS tip would be better at hitting the VC your way, not waiting for the click because it hold heat a little longer. So, a little longer to heat, but better at taking more heat before the click.
It might be that the SS offers more conduction in the mix as well as the restricted airflow of the airpath?

Can see why an SS tip with more mass would suit you.

I can sometimes sense when the Ti is about to go from peak to cool off. It does seem like a fast jet of heat compared to the deeper sustained heat. A Ti with more mass might be better for the jet to cool experience? It seems to be what my aim is for.
Just took the 7fin Ti off my Ti Omni and tryed it in my glass socket VC.

Smaller diameter chamber with more mass and airflow.
Does the fin part of the cap fit? At one point I wondered why with the last two fins for the Ti tip weren't smooth like the other 5 fins with George's tips.

Would an IH heater have to work harder at heating the cap with this type of tip?

I tried to have it cue it up to about where he tries it. Just hit play in the post. Or find the 1:29 mark. If no luck.
Yeah, it starts at the beginning for me...

So, do you know why he keeps tapping the VC tip down on the table? Is that an attempt to stir it? I would think it might create more singeing by increasing the amount of herb that touches the cap. I do occasionally want to stir with the VC, but I dump it in my hand and suck it back in.

I try to stir as little as necessary and even have a tamper that I use sometimes to avoid crumbs falling. If I'm desperate, I'll use my fin like a blade and make two cross cuts through the center. That seems to be good enough if everything fused. The SS tips seems to conduct heat more and make bricks for me. So I use that method more. Or a simple hole poke in the center with a pick end or toothpick.

Bud seems to be a neat freak. He might find your hand method strange. It could just be him fighting as well. I would be afraid of having the cap stick if I tapped it straight down enough. People do tamp their cigarette unconscionably. It feels about like a cig right?

Did you see the small ploom of vapor forming on the end of the ELB when he had the IH going? :cool:That was cool. :science:i can imagine the ELB wire frame getting heated and all that convection.

Huh? Maybe

To let air in

“Would an IH heater have to work harder at heating the cap with this type of tip?”

A bit

Long draws
Depends on my daily lung condition and propensity. Sometimes, I take several short draws (3-4) within the clicks or just one big long toke until it clicks again. Both works fine. There is no or practically no vapor wasted as long as you do not draw. The loss is really so small that I do not even consider it as a problem. Never feel pressed to draw until it clicks again. Draw as long as you feel comfortable, then wait for the cool-down click and heat again.

There are so many different ways to enjoy a Vapcap... The Dynavap magic! I mean, how many other Vapes offer that variety in usage and user experience within just one device? Not many.

I like to take one big hit and let the cap cool in my window. It's been around -5 lately so it cools real fast. I get lots of hits and also use the air to cool my throat if water isn't being used. Come summer time I guess I'll have to be more patient.

Our new goodies are likely to be delayed on this Flash Sale as I assume DV got snow slammed like we did 70 miles or so south of them. Those shiny colorful packages may take a day or two longer, but they WILL arrive and joy will ensue...

But the weatherman doesn't seem to be keeping away the weather, man. I hear nothing but snow blowers out there...

@phattpiggie & @Winegums, I'm pretty certain you both said you prefer the ss tip. Well, tonight I decided to join your club cause I much prefer the ss. I've resigned the ti tip, which I can't afford to throw a side, to the metal-bodied short condensers when I'm outside the house as it's a little more stealth in heat up time & quicker cool down when touching & accessing the bowl. I imagine it would take forever outside in the summer for an ss cap to cool. & just the thought of my fingertips after a session.
ouch.gif

Any of you guys go to suck the weed into the bowl & wonder why it's not happening? - only to discover you didn't take the cap off. :p I've done it once to often recently. :mental:

It's all good, there's no rush for me at least. All those extra caps will just be sitting around as I wait for the 7 fin tips:lol:

Mine, too!

Can't speak for @Winegums but I'm M exclusive.
@Summer a magnet helps with the cap removal or the little rubber bung from a Vaponic case.
I've not tried filling the bowl with the cap on but have sucked up a fresh load, checked to make sure it's full and been really disappointed with the vapor production.
A little bemused at this point as you can imagine but after emptying the bowl I realised the fresh load was only a millimetre or so thick and the rest was the previous loads ABV.
Note to self...check the bowl is empty before refilling.
