F'real this thing hits hard once dialed in and stars align. One of the most powerful, satisfying vapor out of a portable. Quick and thick vapor, but watch that combustion. I had one and know it's potential, but didn't like the idea of having to invest in new chambers, so yea, it's pretty decent if you're willing to put up with it's downfalls.

Agreed, the vapor is very satisfying. It's the main reason I'm willing to risk the combustion issue, especially since I've nailed it down almost entirely to the device picking up weird resistance readings when it's been in use continuously for a while. Once you know the triggers for combustion and can avoid them, it's a great device.

Pax 3 is solid and a good traveler (fast heat up, large bowl and decent battery life) but it does require a smell proof case for in between sessions).
Check out the Zeus Arc GT too. Tiny, gorgeous and quality build from Germany. Silicone mouthpiece is the only downside. Battery gives me three medium bowls.
Also the Davinci Miqro and Arizer ArGo are definitely worth a look.
so many vapo to choose from! thanx

Interesting. Thats the first rec. I've seen for a Zues Arc GT on this forum, ever. Only reason that stands out to me is because I almost bought one, actually as my first vape... had one in my cart and everything but ended up picking something else because I looked into TVape or whatever that company is and didn't really like what I saw I guess would be the right way to put it.

Yes I am not among the FC majority on the Arc LOL. Seems like the silicone mouthpiece is the major complaint.

TVape doesn’t have great service. Kinda snippy and price matching policy is a bit misleading.

I’m curious what else you found out about the company???

I have tried most of the vaporizers on the market over the past four years and I still put the Arc GT in my top 5 for small portables (and top 10 overall along with Dynavap Omni, Mighty, Crafty, Arizer Solo II.)

Yeah not to discount it at all and also on the same token I didn’t mean to derail the thread - nothing super bad about TVape but my impression at first, as a first time vape buyer I was googling for reviews and the Zeus Arc GT was popping up a lot but it seemed it was mostly on TVape articles - I honestly don’t remember the specifics (plus pretty cooked now) but basically they seemed like paid reviews/promoting their own product while it seemed like it was attempting to come off as an independent review/article on a Chinese re brand.

Again idk if that’s accurate or even true - so I can’t even say it’s an accusation cause I don’t really remember, buuuut that sort of sounds familiar. Of course not to take away from it, it could be a great vape for all I know lol

Anyway that’s it for me sorry again for the high jack

Yes TVape’s reviews are definitely skewed towards their products and those biased reviews are at the top of internet searches; (they’ve got great SEO people lol).

Well overdue update!

I got my new chambers and everything's been working great since then! Got it the same day as my Crafty+ came back (they gave up and gave me a new one) and bought some new glass for it, this thing can really make fog! I need to get a battery charger and a spare so I can swap batteries for this. Also just ordered a ton of Fasttech 510 mouthpieces, will update if any are great!

:D Nice they removed the paint/anodizing around the heating chamber , but they added Teflon in the air path ,lol.
From what i see in the 1.5 is they tweaked the software but also introduce a new mini button on the inside,so i guess updating the software on 1.0 wont make it 1.5 ,but require change of unit .
The MiniVAP has Teflon too and they claim it's safe at the vaporization temperatures. Do you think it's dangerous?

This more of a discussion for the PTFE thread,so i wont bring it over here, take a look at the thread and make a judge for yourself. I know MiniVap and HerbAire are known for their quality performance and stuff, but i dont know if that is enough to trust them, especially seeing the Tafee paintflakes fiasco, doubt has grown further :D.
As for me PTFE and Aluminum are not my cup of tea, i wouldnt use PTFE cookware either ,if it can kill a parrot ,i dont want to inhale trough it,,especially if device malfunctions and overshot temps ?(I know this issue is resolved but anything can malfunction at some point due to amortization )

There was never a report of that. It's impossible for that to happen without causing disfiguring burns to your mouth and lungs. I think I recall what you might have seen in the beginning there, where someone was talking about the oring at the top. But we figured out that was just it getting worn away, I think.

edit: I looked up the melting point of POM and it's around 350F, so saying it's "impossible" isn't correct. That said, there haven't been reports of this, or even a plastic taste you'd get before it melted. Nylon, like the underdog vapes, would be even better. I just use a metal drip tip, myself.

Can you explain your comment about using "old tool molds"? Do you think they are using different molds than the dotaio? Doesn't CNC go off of programmed actions, rather than a mold?

Is a chamber burn off necessary?
i have done it with mine (as I always do) but idk if it’s necessary, happy 4/20 fckers
@Tweakz no way I can clear a full bowl with one or two hits, maybe a half bowl I guess (you got to tamp it a lil bit And let it rest a lil time between draws to get that conduction occurs and give you the boldest hit )😉
Just a lil tip : I always do the multidirectional tap thing with my fingers at the bottom of the chamber (inverted) to allow the debris passed the bottom screen to fall out after each session when the chamber is still hot.

So I noticed today that the rubber gasket inside the Dotleaf (the one that makes contact with the top of the oven) ripped. How on earth do I replace it? It's jammed in there...does the metal part where the mouthpiece gets secured come out? I don't want to hurt it, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to remove and replace the broken gasket.

Simple is the way
Hello all,

i use a crafty since more than 2 years, but the battery is almost dead and i need to charge it each session, it's quiet difficult to replace a new battery, so it may be the time to get a new vapo !
i have a few dotmod box for vaping, so i know the product quality. Do you think i'll be pleased with dotleaf 1.5 ? is it worth to buy ?
i'm used to the capsule, i use only one by session, the dotleaf tank seems very big, is it possible to fill it only half?
Thanks

This is worth a look if you haven't seen it. Plug n play battery replacement from an FC member. Looks like it's only 4 screws to mess with.

I will order v1.5. Happy 4/20 to all

Can I clear the bowl for 1-2 hits ?

Not a chance. A fully tamped chamber on lvl4 will give you 3mins of face-melting vapour production (as long as you let it heat soak between draws,) until it turns off. And when you turn it back on, there's still usually more left to be had.

edit MODS: Sorry for dbl post.

$128 for a 1.5 Dotleaf is a screaming deal. $20 for a spare oven is decent as well.

Happy Holiday dotpeeps! Hope you are staying as green as you want. I know I am!

No, but through glass on temp4 you can clear a .25g oven in about 5 hits. I've done it several times while trying to get the perfect milk shot. It's part of the reason I don't post milk shots anymore. :uhoh: 💨 (YMMV)

Thanks, I just wanted to make sure I follow protocol as I've always done burn offs, ordered the Silver bundle.

Use a coin to unscrew the gold tip insert. The o-ring can be replaced if you've a spare. It can be a bit tricky to seat the o-ring in properly, but is definitely doable!

Replacements are in the maintenance kit, both old and new versions.

Attempted to dotLeaf this afternoon. I can not get the new black tank to work anymore (triple white light). Moreover, upon closer inspection, the base of my delrin 14mm adapter is slightly melted and the black o-ring in the tank's lid is beginning to crumble after last night's combustion event...now I am really not happy at all.

There was never a report of that. It's impossible for that to happen without causing disfiguring burns to your mouth and lungs. there was a report of the delrin?? mouthpiece melting here, also on reddit, there was pictures as well....

melting point of delrin is...... 347F

the vapor path does not line up as seen here, the tank only lines up 2/3rds to the mouthpiece
bzMukAI.jpg

the hot parts of the heater body are in the airpath of the delrin? adapter, I asked this a few times - every time they "updated" parts, it was a oring, a new tank, a new firmware etc.... and was told it was "designed" this way or it does not effect performance.
Djo8qLP.jpg

Take a look, its really not that far off - here I can push it in via a finger and the full vapor path lines up to the mouthpiece, this is why I initially thought a new oring design may help seat/align this inline more, or even heater lid design.

dotmod and dotleaf, chamber is exactly the same location, so pretty easy to understand they have not designed a new tool "mold" we can use the mold as a placeholder for part/cover/piece/lid/body/case/etc everything is using the same "mold" as the dotmod.
DOTMODDOCC-PunkJuiceVapeStore_2000x.jpg

this is my guess of not having the vapor path lineup and exposing the heat source instead of it being shrouded by the casing like every other part of the heater.
