I received my Daisy today, very well packaged, nothing miss except the user guide!
After 3 bowls I can say the hits are smooth and tasty(a bit of wood taste too!), I got some little clouds and a very light brown abv..
I'll post again for a better review cause I need to practice it more...

I ordered a Daisy through Vapor Store for $85 with discount code: fuckcombustion and it arrived today!!! It came with a free acrylic grinder, extra screens, tweezers but no torch so I can't try it out just yet, but for the price, I can't complain. One side of the mouthpiece stem is chipped but I don't think it should affect it's function. Really excited to try it out. I love the organic build and old school functionality of it which is what really drew me to it when I first discovered it on this thread. Though I've used a Volcano and am envious of the many other fancy electronic, high priced devices on the market, I prefer ease of use, portability and most of all, coolness factor and this thing has it all. Props to Triihouse

Daisy and I are already becoming firm friends.
She comes with no illusions. Everything said or shown by Triihouse has held true since the moment the package arrived at my door. It's a good feeling to know what to expect, and receive exactly that. It gives me the feeling I'm dealing with a manufacturer of integrity. There are no paper manuals of any kind.. but why should there be? Triihouse has a great manual on the site, along with multiple videos on Daisy.
Build quality.. so solid and smooth. So sturdy! The magnets really are as strong as you want them to be. The only loose-sitting parts are the heat intake stem and a small metal connecting pin on the bottom block (I am curious as to why that pin is not fixed into the block... but for now I'll assume it's meant to be that way.) Don't roughhouse with her too much and you should both be fine for some casual walking about and passing.
Usage.. I'll start by saying this was my first time - ever - with a butane torch, so there was a learning curve there. I could not identify the torch by looking at it, and I could not find some online manual for it. I was able to track down "a" place to buy it, and it helped a bit. Food for thought:
-Turn the torch gas valve to the right to decrease/cut off fuel.. and to the left to heat things up.
-The torch can get a huge flame if you crank it up.. but don't get crazy.
-A 1 inch flame is recommended.. and it seems to burn the smoothest too. You want it short.. but long enough to where the flame is not sputtering or flickering at all.
So with good understanding of the torch and a good flame, I's good to go. Screen inserted easily and securely. Loaded herb, fine ground, into the chamber. Just enough to cover the screen + a bit extra, for girth. My first 5-6 draws were getting used to the mouthpiece, finding a good torch level, and basically getting oriented with the draw speed and carb as well. I didn't expect any vapor, and I didn't get any. I Checked the herb, still green green.
- The next few draws were a different story... I was getting it. Figuring out where the heat was coming from and how to make it move through Daisy. Not filling up your lungs is crucial here.. it's an open, unrestricted draw.. You have to make the best of your entire breath. With practice, it comes.
- Once the vapor began to flow, thick and visible through the tube, the entire hit does feel very airy, but that doesn't bother me. Large visible clouds and an enjoyable taste. Once I got the first and second huge, full hits.. opening Daisy and giving a stir is A DREAM. I twirl the supplied tweezers to mix the herb, give it a small tap, and slide her back together. So easy, no mess.
- The 3-5 hits after the stir were unbelievable. Thick hit after hit. I seem to be getting so much out of a less amount of herb either of my other vapes use in a session.
- So, after a full session, 9-10 draws, the herb was a lovely dark brown. No charring to be found.
I love the amount of heat control she gives you. I may not know the precise temps.. but judging by the way I am feeling currently under Daisy's care.. I'm compleeeetely fine with the temps. - AND - it feels so efficient. I used less herb in the load than either of my other vapes use in a single session.. and feel like I got just as much, if not more, out of it. I did feel some minor heat build-up in the body after the entire session.. but it was a long, thorough session.
On another note, I'm feeling much more elevated (increasingly so) than with either of my other vapes after a session. Yes it feels great, but I just hope it's not something to do with using butane heat/fumes? Maybe just this style of heating, and vaping at different temps than I'm used to? Or perhaps it's the method itself. It's hard to complain about it.
I am extremely pleased with this purchase.. I definitely have some practicing to do, but I'm looking forward to it! * ALSO, I read that someone purchased from a different site for a discount.. but I recommend going through Triihouse directly. Not only is it more secure, but they include a classy wood grinder AND a solid, reliable torch. That's just my 2 cents.

The elevated feeling comes from the new delivery system IME. The new "vape signature" effect is a powerful one that is often overlooked. I don't pretend to fully understand it, but I've experienced it enough times to believe that it is a real effect. It might be subliminal, but it is noticeable to me when I first use a new quality vaporizer nonetheless.

I like the idea of a "vape signature", and it's probable that different methods of vaporization cause different cannabinoids to be released in different proportions, but I'm almost certain that some of this must come down to the environmental and habitual side of tolerance.
It's like getting way higher when vaping somewhere unfamiliar instead of at home. When you have a routine, your brain begins to physically anticipate the cannabinoids, and this affects the impact of the high. When you break that routine, your brain is no longer chemically preparing itself as much or at all, and so you get higher.
New vape, new routine, "new high".

Man, I am touched/relieved/thrilled from everyone's positive experience with Daisy. I would say each Daisy vaporizer is about 98% hand-made so we can not help but get a little personal and attached and protective to each one. Though she is quite simple in design, it has taken us many testing sessions to get her to the point of performance she is at right now

Because of her performance and consistency, through the years, Daisy has become a tool I use to gauge and analyze my herbs, as opposed to using my herbs to gauge and analyze my vaporizer's performance.

Happy that you are happy with your Daisies and you found that sweet spot draw. I must say that different herbs have different sweet spots; Dankness/Grind/Leafy-ness can all affect your vapor density and air flow. The cool thing is Daisy is very easy to adjust by using different combinations of draw speed, flame height, and flame distance to the heat intake stem. It is even possible to adjust mid-draw.
Here is a tip: 1 of Daisy's design feature is that the the mouthpiece glass stem can be switched around for a different angle. We intentionally bent it at a 2/3 angle so it can be switched to give a different view
while drawing. It does not look like a significant difference but it does change your view, especially in such close parameters.
When the the short side of the bend of the glass stem is inserted in Daisy, you can look down the glass mouthpiece and see vapors while drawing.This is another way to gauge how your heat is doing.
RUDEBOY:
You can use your Daisy for hash/kief by using the thin layer of cotton over the screen, then placing small bits on that.

You may be on to something here. I recently started using a whip vape with some much wider tubing so I can really honk on it. I swear I have been getting more smashed, but I wasn't sure why. But the vape signature and switch up effect is real, so it may be hard to test it without forsaking other vapes for a while.
What I love most about this vape and company is how it started...reminds of the Purple Days story. Dude makes a vape for himself, and his friends love it so much he has to make them as gifts. Then people wanted to pay him to hurry up. Eventually he ended up here introducing a proven and developed wooden vape that everyone loved and it was very successful.

Out of curiosity, the tolerances should be about the same between different Daisies, right? I bit the bullet and have a Daisy in its way to V&C so he can see if he can make a glass set, would be great if other people could then order without having to send in their daisy for measurement as well.

A week into owning the daisy and I've only 'plugged in' once, i'm really loving the always ready to hit ability and ease of use. just placed an order for a handful of the power brand torches and a few more cans of butane so if the grid goes down for the next year or two I'm all set as long as i have herbs to load the chamber.
In a week and actually going through a little more then 1/2 oz(many many hits) in my Daisy I've only refilled the torch once (when flame started sputtering) and topped it off once when it got down to 2/3 of a tank and it isn't back to half full yet.
Had to clean the screen last night for the first time, draw had became very noticeably restricted over a couple bowls (after vaping 1/2 oz already) took no time maybe a minute and a half to pull, torch clean and re-seat the now like new screen so i also rinsed out the glass mouthpiece stem, shook a capfull of ISO around in it for 10 seconds or so then rinsed with hot water, drying by shaking and using a kitchen towel took no time at all and looks to be the only real maintenance ever required with this vaporizer.
So conservative with both herbs and it's power/heat source and with Vapor as dense, tasty and smooth as anything I've ever vaped out of, it is without a doubt going to be in the top of my rotation for years to come.
I'm well over my dislike of butane torches. this old rude dog's learning new tricks.
If you just Want to play with a new vape that easily will become one of your favorites (imho) or want your very first Vaporizer to be Simply Fuckingcombustion Amazing Buy a DAISY from Triihouse !

I find that I can take almost 7-9 seconds for an empty-to-full breath hit, and it feels like a very long hit.. My herb doesn't appear to be overheating though, even when I start to feel heat build up on that bottom block.
- How long is your average draw? How long do you think "too long" of a draw is?
- Also, how fine of a grind do you use? I hand-grind / cut my herb to a very fine grind as it's what my other vapes like.. but I wonder if it's too fine for Daisy because I'm getting quite a bit of debris under the screen and even up inside the mouthpiece tube. My draws are about as long as yours i would say 5-9 seconds, if I cant hit and clear it in one hit then i drew on it "too long" but with the daisy i can't take 10-20 second hits because the draw is so wide open my lungs fill quickly.
I'm using a medium grind/shred and stir after my second or third hit, then a few hits after that i'll dump it into my palm and crush it with my finger to powder and finish it off. And still nearly none has dropped below the screen and there were only a couple specks on the glass when i cleaned it. You may wanna try re-seating your screen, you can also add another as at first i had two in mine and it worked fine for me and didn't restrict the draw at all (what i was messin' about tryin to do) .

Me and my friend just tried the Daisy for the first time. WOW!!! First try and I got a huge tasty cloud and a very sweet high. My friend had the same experience and was duly impressed as well. This thing is ingenious in its simplicity and function. Love it, and I can see it being my main squeeze from now on
They all have the same tolerances as far as the glass insert holes that you are talking about.
-1 inch outer diameter thick wall Corning borosilicate glass
-1/2 inch for the heat intake stem
It will be cool to see some real awesome glass blowers make some bubblers or other cool glass work to use with Daisy.
