How high are you running your temp? If you back it down to around 12 o'clock, you'll be able to get around 20-30 hits or so. But if you crank it up to around 3 o'clock, you'll only get a few hits. Draw speed also plays a huge factor. Just goof around with it and you'll figure out what works best for you!

Hey man, I have got mine back in action the last few days and im finding 10o'clock is a sweet spot for me though i am wondering how much you fill the wand? Mine is usually a quarter full and lasts maybe 6-8 hits at that 10o'clock temp.. ill have to maybe turn it down a bit more and try to get more hits from it.

I do let it heat up at a higher temp first then wind it back to 10 oclock and after a few minutes i start.

Mine barely gets warm at 10 o'clock. I forgot to mention that my knob is set so that the first initial click turning it on puts the dial at 9:00. Then I turn the knob anywhere between about 12 and 3 o'clock for vaporizing. I also find it very helpful to run it through a bubbler. You can really gauge how much of a hit you are getting rather than with just the whip alone

You can try this next time. Let unit cool completely wrap a slightly damp folded washcloth (NOT WET) around the wand base near tube. Turn unit on high... keep holding wand with the cloth. wait about 7-10 seconds, grip firmly through the washcloth (or remove it now and use bare hand) and twist .. you have expanded the HC, and kept the wand cooler with washcloth... works every time!

I almost had a heart attack this morning when I couldn't get the wand out of my unit, but a quick search unearthed this.

I just wanted to chime in, and say that this does indeed work! Even after completely cooling off, I felt like my wand would snap if I exerted any more pressure trying to remove it, but heating it up on the highest setting with a moist ShamWow! wrapped around the wand did the trick in about a minute flat.

I own the da buddha and an davinci ascent. Da buddha is the best I have used and can only compare anything else to that level

On Da Buddha's website they claim their reclaimed vaped are on sale for 100 dollars today, however Ive found them listed for 140. At 100 is it a steal or better to find one on here in thr classifieds?

At 100 it is a steal. Heck, I got mine mass dropped at $120 and considered it to be a great deal at that price. Add it to your cart and the price change is automatic.

Reclaim units are still brand new, just with a cosmetic defect somewhere on the unit (often unnoticeable). A buddy of mine has a Silver Surfer reclaim (relevant because same company/same standards) unit that I never even found the blemish on.

I seem to have an interesting dilemma with my DBV. Comparing to videos on YT it seems that my glass cover for the heating element is a little taller than most. In other videos I've noticed that the ceramic heater is literally at-level with the horizontal glass opening, however mine is retracted down and the center of the heater is at-level with the smaller intake hole underneath the main opening for the tube.

So my issue is that even at the 5o'clock position my bud never turns more than lightly brown and then no more vapor comes. Any idea on a fix? Should I try to shave the glass down somehow at the base to shorten it so the heating element is closer to the opening for the tube? It bums me out because I can't completely vape out my herbs

The issue isn't your heater cover but the heating element itself. The heating element isn't fix in place it sort of floats there. To fix it allow your dbv to fully cool down then remove the heater cover by pulling up on it. Once the heater cover is removed the heating element will be exposed. Since your unit is cool to the touch you can simply grab the element with your fingers and pull up on it lightly until it will not come any further out of the base of the unit. Replace your heater cover and your good to go.

Just be gentle when applying pressure. Had to do the same with my unit, it is a common issue when you get a new unused DBV.

Yeah I'm positive it won't damage your unit if you pull lightly on the element. The element will move up and down freely but not side to side. My unit and many others had the same issue.

Hi LulzR, when you look into where you plug your wand into, the top of the heater should be about 1/2 the way up. Also check the relationship between the ceramic heater and the air intake. I recently purchased 2 almost brand new DBV's, most likely because they didn't work properly out of the box. The heater covers are hand made and not uniform. I purchased a unit yesterday that I could tell wouldn't hit hard. The heater was not only low, like yours, but it also leaned to the left, and the intake hole on the heater cover was on the right. When the air just flows mostly one one side instead of around the heater, no bueno. I took the base off, adjusted the heater and the thing hits like a beast.

Thanks for the info dude but it doesn't seem to budge. When I tried to pull the ceramic heating element up it springs back downward, assuming thats the wiring tugging it back down. I've tried tilting and pulling but it wont budge up. I managed to set it at around 1/3 instead of 1/2 up to the center of the glass opening. The air intake seems to be at a good distance. I guess I should just turn the temps up and slow down the draws...

I was suggesting you take the base off, as the connecting wires are somewhat stiiff and push the heater "off". The adjustment comes from inside the unit. Please check, as this may possibly void your warranty. It really shouldn't, but I'm not sure, so do not open the unit until you are sure it doesn't void the warranty, or you don't care if it does. I did with a used unit, and found it very easy to position the heater for optimal usage.

Edit: to further clarify. One of the used units I purchased required only manual repositioning of the wires inside the DBV to properly position the heater. The one I purchased yesterday I used a tie to connect the the black lead of the heater to both the wires from the on/off light to properly position the heater. Every unit will be different.

The jar is just two months old. It came for free with my blemished Da Buddha. Will 7th Floor replace it? Even if they did, I might be hesitant to use this jar again, unless someone can assure me that this was a fluke. It happened while I was putting the lid back on, and even my partner commented that the seal seemed really tight, and that putting that much pressure on a ring of glass over and over again seemed like a recipe for disaster.

I use mine as a temp jar before transferring to the main Duff collector. I don't pack it tight.
