Yeah, if 383F is the highest temp possible, that's a downer for me. Might the Android app unlock higher temps? I just went to the S&B website and no info is given that I can find. Thanks!A top temperature of only 383F? Not going to do the trick for those of us who like high temp vaping. I would expect a portable vape at this price point to have at LEAST 3 temperature settings. Would it have been so hard to have 356, 383, AND 410F? Not really sure about the wisdom of one vaporizer company having 2 products that are so similar with $70 separating the 2 of them.
I've owned a Volcano, so I know Storz and Bickel's reputation for making fine products with excellent customer service is well deserved, but they insist on charging these prices, especially with technology (The Volcano) that IMHO, was surpassed a while ago. Storz and Bickel is a fine company, but they really need to rethink their pricing, especially on old technology that hasn't been updated in some time.

The Plenty has a similar heating element style. In my experience, particulates falling through has not been an issue. I actually anticipate it being less of a problem if you use the filling tool, since no such thing existed with the Plenty. I would notice sometimes that small particles got caught in the plastic around the heater, but nothing actually fell through - and I'm not the most careful user either. For one, I think the screen is different covering the heater than the bowl, but additionally, the way the bowl is loaded is such that dust and particles spill around the side rather than down into the heater.
I'm really, really close to pulling the trigger on a Crafty. I have an iphone which is a bummer, but once I get my temperatures and settings set up, the whole app kind of a novelty for me. It's almost like the BIOS of the system: good for power users, but not relevant for day-to-day operations. I actually kind of like the fact that I don't have to press and hold to crank the temperature up each time. Haven't been this excited about a vape in a long time.
Did you use the liquid pad for that half bowl?Won't get too into this since its still charging now, but I broke the rules and tried a bowl (half of a full bowl) between me and a friend. We both like it. Super easy to use and super consistent hits. The ABV looked REALLY even.
To me the flavor is EERILY similar to the first hits of a super fresh volcano bag. I hit it and thought "wow this is a volcano in a walkie talkie form, without bags to ruin some of the flavor". Is flavor better than my firefly? Yes and no. The firefly can make better flavor than the half bowl at stock temp that I tried so far, but it can also make worse flavor if you scorch one area. I think the consistency of hits being the same and so precise means better flavor overall honestly.
I don't want to jump the gun. All things I say are subjective to changing!
So far it was great without connecting the app. I'll admit I was in a rush, didn't bother to use the fill tool. Just hand loaded it. I need to really read the manual and figure out the small details. Its charging now. I will say without reading anything it was easy to pick up, pack by hand, and start getting great hits at 180 without using a phone at all. I was surprised by how smooth the hits were at that temp. No harshness at all.
Everyone loves products when they are new. I'm 100% aware that this could be the "honeymoon phase" talking, but so far my initial review feels like I'm going to love this thing. I'm curious what battery life will be like, but with microUSB I can charge it basically anywhere. I'll be getting a microusb battery pack too just to keep in the glovebox or take on hikes...if its even needed that is.
Connecting to the android app was great. One of the more painless BT connections.
I think its pretty telling that someone who didn't read the manual or anything like that was able to pick it up and go to town. No learning curve for great high quality flavorful potent hits. Very happy camper based on that one half bowl. Time will tell if I stay happy.

Anyone with a Crafty/Mighty tried to take out the screen or even tried to find a way under the bowl???
I don't see how the filling tool will keep specs of herb off the bowl screen… For sure it's gonna be better than the Firefly since it doesn't need stirring but eventually it will need cleaning.

There was an update for the Crafty App today on Android. Not exactly sure what changed.
Does it have a car charger available through S&B or do you have to buy a battery pack? Sorry if this has already been asked.

EDIT
Very good price under $16. Thank you
Can anyone comment on how smelly it is while it's heating up ?
For example, I find both the Solo and more so the Pax are both very smelly when they're warming up.
