Crafty is so much better at everything that I don't give a damn about the battery. It's not a party vape and won't do many back to back sessions but then who would buy the mighty and its two batteries? I had three bowls with a couple of friends earlier and the battery was over before my friend had the time for a forth! It had already destroyed us long before that happened of course…

I think I am getting the S&B power bank after all. 3 times the battery life I have now doesn't sound half bad! Or should I go with a higher capacity one? Anker or Easyaccu or something else? I like the Anker's charge status LEDs on their 2nd GEN Astros…

I can see how the S&B power bank could be seen as an alternative, but S&B are marking up like a german autos for extras I guess I like the Idea of a spare always charged and being able to do a session without mains

Was thinking about the cooling chamber - the mouth piece and the chamber below the mouth piece. I'm impressed with the crafty's abstraction, that to me is always the major factor. Well ease of cleaning is probably just as important

That ravpower is a great unit, I have it as well. It looks like 4 full charges easy. It is a bit large, so no pocket charging for me. Im using mine in the sock drawer for discreet charging after my bathroom breaks.

One thing i did notice, the crafty does start to get stinky. After about 7gr ran through i think its time for a full cleaning. Mouthpiece also getting hard to spin. I noticed it when i opened the drawer and whoosh, toasty smell. An extra cooling unit would allow me to continue and clean the other when possible.

I picked up the wear and tear set. Seemed worth it. Stepson used too much muscle on the mouthpiece and one of the tabs broke but no vapor leak and seems to be fine.

Since the firefly, removable battery for a quality portable were a must for me, the way the crafty vapes herbs looks impressive

The swappable battery sounds great in theory but having the Firefly Ive found it to be a major pain in the ass. There is no indicator to know where the battery charge is at. They are ridiculously weak. You most def need to buy an extra battery and external charger but even then I couldn't get much more from the second battery. Inevitably the unit dies as you begin a session or mid session again because there is no way to know the charge of the battery. Anyway I found it to be a less than an enjoyable experience. Its really a souped up mflb. Some of the same reasons i don't use or care to use an MFLB any longer.

An external charger the size of an iPhone in the case of an emergency I find a far better solution and its next to never I ever have to use it but if I did it is small and light enough to be of little concern.

I'll clean the cooling chamber/mouthpirce once or twice a week. But that's only because I want to not because I've seen a desperate need. The bowl stays amazingly clean. The underside of the cooling unit does get glazed and like I said could be quick cleaned once a week depending on your use.

Here's a pic of a half filled chamber topped with oil pad with dab. Supremely flavorful! I also really like that it slightly tightens the draw and keeps the top screen free of debris!

The bottom screen comes out easily with a pin or dental pick type instrument. Its just held in place by the counter-bore down there. It doesn't clog fast but its nice to be able to clean under there.

I've just received it! Charged up and ready to go.. Is there anything other than charging it that I should do before a first use? Other vapes I've had I've had to burn off the factory grease - Extreme Q by Arizer.. Is there anything I need to do before I vape or can I just start?

My Crafty has been nothing short of phenomenal so far, and I have encountered no major problems - except one.

In the cooling chamber there are three o-rings: small (for the mouthpiece), medium, and large. I am having problems with the medium o-ring. Basically, every time I put the unit together or take it apart to clean it, there is a little plastic divot in the unit that presses down on the o-ring. You can see it pinch the o-ring from the top of the unit, before putting on the hologram. I’m assuming this divot and the pinching is intentional (it looks like it's designed to make space for the hologram piece to fit in), but it is causing my o-rings to deteriorate at a concerning pace - I’ve already gone through both o-rings and they’re tattered to bits. I don’t think I am installing them incorrectly - there appears to only be one way, and nothing is mentioned in the manual. Is anyone else having this problem?

Just put it in there with your finger gently, until it engages with the counter bore. Then I press gently while rotating slightly to seat the screen fully on all edges. Keep it simple, it doesn't have to be perfect.

I want to help you but the way you describe things completely confuses me. Why are you removing the "hologram"? Its just a lock that you slide. The o-ring you refer to just rolls on to its little post. The "divot" you describe eludes me, I'm sorry.

Although its not really necessary the Crafty manual says in cleaning you should pry off the hologram catch, even though you rightly pointed out it doesn't need to be removed, just slid back.

I removed the hologram slide the first time...never again!

Not sure why they say to do it in the manual, much more of a pain then it's worth. I found it quite difficult to get on/off.

If you look closely, you can see the little notch in the middle of the o-ring. The notch is where the two prongs of the hologram piece fit into. The problem is still there even if I slide the hologram out and don't take it off - it pierces through the o-ring right where it slides in and out. Looking at that picture I linked, I realize now that I just can't get the o-ring installed properly on the Crafty. Instead of sitting properly at the base, it slides up into the middle, so that when you install the hologram piece/push the two cleaning chamber pieces together, the o-ring gets pinched. I need to find a way to get it to sit stable on the bottom, but since one is broken up and one is kind of torn, I will have to wait until I get a new set of o-rings to test this out. It's really not a big deal even with no o-ring, it just means that condensation leaks underneath the hologram (hence why I take it off to clean it). A torn o-ring works just as well as a non-torn one, at least until it falls apart. I can wait until a new set arrives, but then I'm gonna have to figure out how to get it on properly...

I just removed them and soaked them in soapy water whilst the plastic bits had a half hour bath in ISO. Left the lot to dry out natural. All good. I didn't remove the hologram slide until my second cleaning and due to some oil build up it did snap part of the plastic, still goes back together OK and still slides fine enough.

Our building is being rewired currently and the electricity is being shut off tomorrow for a good 8hrs! I have my crafty and powerbank charging as we speak and this lot to get me through the day this same amount I used to combust in one f'in joint!!

I'm not bothering with taking the o rings off. Is that a problem? I just unlock, pull apart the cooling chamber, throw basically these two pieces into a plastic bag with ISO and salt. Shake vigorously. Rinse with water. Pat dry.

Because my o-ring isn't sitting properly, I can't even leave them in - it just pops right off. I left the larger one in for several cleaning sessions but then it got so gunky that it was hard to handle it while cleaning so I pop it off periodically now. Left the largest o-ring in since I got it, same for the mouthpiece o-ring. Aside from cleanliness, I don't think it's a problem.
