Word. Now I've got single one for bud, and double one for reclaim - which killed my glass f/f GonG bowl due to my apparent lack of faith in Sticky Hug of Death.

It doesnt fit perfectly though because of how I cut it, of course, but I'll gladly contact Storz & Bickel for replacement <3

Sadly lost my oil pad on this mornings mission. Dropped out whilst I was emptying the ABV. Just placed an order for the wear and tear set so should be good to go again soon My original oil pad came just like yours @YetAnotherUsername but I used scissors just to cut it into two. Should get 4 with the wear and tear set

Did it happen to fail the first time you used this replacement while plugged in? I still swear that high drain batteries don't like to charge while using them. IDK why your first one failed since it wasn't plugged in, but just PERHAPS I might be correct that there is probably a higher failure rate while using it while charging than just using it on its own?

Yes it was the first time I used it plugged in. Perhaps you are correct in your assumption. the first one had been used while plugged in just not when or directly before it failed.

Just got my unit! About to purge some reclaim and noticed my liquid pad fits WHOLE bowl. Is this normal? It's partially cut like if it was 3 pads in one. How big should it be? I def can't fit anything at all below it if I'm using it.

I haven't got the oil pad yet but I find that the Crafty can bake any load you throw at it, even a couple of specs of herb without needing a spacer or something. Can't imagine how better an extraction with the pad would be…

I've always wondered why the solo, indica, crafty, etc. all have to have some battery power to work while plugged in. Yet my vapir no2 will work plugged in with no battery power or even without a battery. Shouldn't they all be this way? It would be nice to know my crafty will still be usable when the battery dies.

I have noticed the same. Doesn't matter how big or small, the Crafty just performs. I no longer use the oil pad as a spacer.

Just so I'm clear: you mean herb, right? Can you throw wax in there with no oil pad ?

Is there even a downside to not charging while using? Will it be any worse off if you just wait until after a session? What I'm wondering is does charging while using keep you at a higher percentage than just charging right after using? Or is it the same just minus the 10 minutes or so difference where you simply were using not charging?

IDK how to word it so hopefully this makes sense.

I just wanted to add to the reclaim discussion. As a Plenty owner I did not think there would be a lot of reclaim from the Crafty. I tried to reclaim from the Plenty before and it was not worth bothering.

I used my Crafty for 12 days before cleaning the cooling chamber. I probably ran between .8 and 1.5 grams a day through the Crafty during that period. I also put maybe 5 dabs of shatter through it as well. During this period I used the oil pad about 90% of the time.

I know you guys want pictures but I can not do that at the moment. However, I found that the oil pad kept everything pretty clean. It was not messed up much at all and was still functioning nicely. I cleaned it out using Ethanol and some que tips. I also had just enough ethanol in a small container to bathe the pieces. It cleaned up nicely but I noticed that the ethanol was now a nice green/yellow colour. I was going to trash it but instead left it to evaporate naturally. About a week later I came back to it and to my surprise scraped up a surprising amount of oil. I ended up with enough for a about 4 medium sized dabs. The potency and taste of the oil was pretty good too.

I will do another clean soon and report but there is definitely some nice reclaim to be had from the Crafty

I would discourage from buying the crafty here. Lwien has mentioned before s&b doesnt do discounts and monitors their retailers to ensure thy don't go below MSRP. Also they have volcano in the name for crafty. Seems a little odd..

I've seen the oil pad used as a replacement screen, but am thinking what about some sort of silica wick like some e-cig uses use to rebuild their atomizers wick? I know it has a high melting point like 1200C. A layer on top or below the screen? Could absorb any reclaim oil and be used in conjunction with the oil pad to vaporize.

After a few weeks with my crafty I've come to the conclusion that it's the "protopipe" of vaporizers. Easy fill. Easy use. Built in pick tool.

@Pjake hah I remember my protopipe from back in the day! Yeah I agree with ya nice comparison! Also used to get nice dark reclaim from my old Proto.

I am pretty sure now I get a better experience using the oil pad over the top screen (better flavor and clouds)! Will be switching back soon as my new pieces arrive

I guess it would also absorb all the goods that are supposed to be inhaled by you?
The Crafty's cooling unit needs so much cleaning because it cools down the vapor so much. That means a lot of condensation on it's walls inside. Just like a bubbler or bong. You can't have ultimate efficiency, minimum waste (although it can be reclaimed...) AND amazing cooling. There have to be sacrifices. At least for now...

Has anyone used the Crafty with a power bank that outputs only 1-amp? S&B tells me that a 1-amp charger will work and won't cause any harm to the battery, but I'm curious if there's a performance drop off using the Crafty while pulling power from a 1-amp power bank rather than a 2-amp power bank. I've got my eye on one with a built-in micro USB cable to make portability easier but it only outputs 1-amp.

Right on! I have noticed that as well! Less vapor and effects as it gunks up! It does require some cleaning and it says so under the cooling unit…

Hi all, a little bummed and need some advice. I pulled the trigger on a Crafty 3 weeks ago, but went with an online vape store to save a few bucks. They have still not shipped to date and they say it is back ordered, no inventory etc. I have reached my wits' end and would like to cancel and shop elsewhere. Any other vape store that reliably ships the Crafty and has stock? I know I can order from S&B but they are a few bucks more with taxes etc.

If you're outside of California, I don't think you'll get hit for sales tax.

I ran mine down so much last night that it died before my session was over. I didn't even realize the battery was so low. Guess I need to open my eye's, huh?

I tried to plug it in and use it but it didn't have enough juice to run off the cord.

So far the battery is the only big gripe I have on the Crafty. There are a few other nit pik's too but the battery is my only real complaint. I didn't even get three sessions on a full charge (more like 2.5).

That said there is the Mighty if this is a big deal for you and the performance way overshadows the battery issue so I'm still marking this one up as a buy if you can afford it!
