thank you what are you meaning with "it will extract in one"... one hit (puff)?
for example lets say i load 0.05g how much puffs would i get out of it...

Perhaps look into the elevape sv, I heard that's a good "on-demand" vape that uses convection. (was lurking that thread before the crafty came out and took my purchase instead).
Although you will need to stir it every 3 draws.
It has 3 temps that can be reprogrammed too.
Otherwise minivap... I think even the firefly can be used in that manner (not sure).[/USER]

The FlashVape can be used in this way as well with heat being instantly applied and removed in convection mode. Just another option.

The number of puffs I get depends on the way I grind and pack, battery, temperature, outside temperature, strain (dryness) and also on the draw length and speed, so in my opinion it's different with every session but you get significantly less draws than you would get from a session vape. The hits are much denser though.

In my experience you'll be done after a few puffs, no matter how big the bowl is. You'll get some more with a bigger load, but I'm always surprised how quickly I can finish a "session".

This has not been my experience. If I load a full bowl, I get MANY hits.

I wonder if this is due to your starting material too?

I'll count how many hits I get on my next bowl, but I'd estimate it to be in the 8-10 range. Obviously this could vary wildly, but I think I take average to above average sized hits.

I get more hits with a bigger bowl too. Just a few more though. I suspect that it takes 2-3 hits until the convection is heating a full, tightly packed bowl. On the first hits the air loses its heat in the bottom part if the bowl so the first hits would be similar to the first hits on a small bowl.
Correct me if I'm wrong here.

Anyway, puffs are a bad measurement in my opinion and there are so many variables to consider.

Hi all , bought an ascent a week ago, returning it. I use solo and extreme q and like the results. Question. I am about to buy a mighty for extra battery, is there any reason I should get a crafty instead? Mostly will be using on my balcony. I like the portability of crafty, but think I will need more juice. Thanks.

A Crafty and a good power bank is still cheaper than the Mighty.

You made the right choice by ditching the ascent and going crafty/mighty.
I personally love the portability of the crafty, the app, the fact that I already have 2 external power banks with 2 ports (one for my phone and one for my crafty to charge both at the same time) ... For me the choice was clear. But if you definitely don't need portability and don't want to be hassled with cables to a power bank.... Then go mighty

Great Scott!

True but if I tethered the powerbank to the crafty while using it, it would be more unwieldy than the mighty.

IMO the crafty is best for charging after using it. If I really NEEDED more juice I'd avoid the powerbank plugged in which would feel cumbersome to me, and just use the Mighty. Truth be told I still have some mighty envy. More like "what if". But then I wonder...why is that? Simply because its capable of longer without charging? I never have come close to killing the crafty and running out of juice and still needing more vapor. I find one bowl fully packed is SERIOUSLY medicating. I am yet to do back to back bowls. I have been vaping for how long...and I just can't handle it lol. For my usage this thing fits like a glove. The mighty has its own appeal though. I think if I ever win the lottery I'd have the mighty as the backup to my crafty. Serious redundancy!

I hope S&B gets back to me about the Lollipop os ruining the ability to pair with the crafty. I have no problem beta testing apks until its fixed, nothing to lose since I can't connect.

Good thing that I honestly feel 180 + 195C is an excellent usage scenario more often than not for well cured cabbage.

Got mine on Friday. I LOVE it. I won't bother repeating what everyone else is saying... I'll just say that the Crafty is now my primary vape, home and away. S&B knocked this one out of the park.

Battery life isn't the best, but we do have to live with the laws of Physics, and the Mighty or a battery pack are options for those who can't live with the limitations.

The app is great, but there's one feature I think should be added - a smartphone notification that charging is complete.

Earlier in the thread somebody asked about a PIN to prevent unauthorized use. What you can do is set the temp to the min setting of 104F. When you connect with the app, change it to a useable temp and you're all set. The serial on the bottom will rub off pretty fast, and without the app and the serial number, no one can change the temp to use the Crafty without your knowledge.

edit: Just checked the manual and there's actually an easy way to reset the Crafty to factory settings without the app, although it's not that obvious.

I just had the best session so far with the Crafty. I packed the bowl 3/4 full and pressed the oil pad on top. At 385F, I enjoyed 8 tasty lung busting hits:science: and 2 additionally boosted at 410 F. I have previously used this herb and the ABV always came out golden brown. This time it looked a couple shades darker brown and I feel like it extracted a little better with the OP on top. :2c: My bubblers and other vapes are getting angry :cuss: as they have been ignored since the Crafty arrived on my doorstep. The Crafty is just so easy to use and produces such a smooth, cool, tasty vapor.

I got a new phone and for some reason it won't connect to my Crafty. The app doesn't allow me to save my serial number.

Yep I believe you are right. Where is the best place to buy this for the best price? Are they going to offer like a Black Friday deal or anything?
They definitely control the price with retailers. Vapornation had a 10% off deal that was removed/rescinded.

Make sure Bluetooth is turned on on your phone and also that your phone has Bluetooth 4.0 LE. I tried with an IPad 2 - No Bueno

I would go to local headshop that stocks the Crafty, lay down $360-$375 on the glass counter and say I want a Crafty. If it is a slow day they will take it in a second. Got my Volcano for $470 out the door around 8 years ago with this method.

Usually it takes a while for the newer vaporizers to get into the headshops in the area where I live.
