It has arrived!
Woohoo!!! Now I can re-retire my :mflb:. It'll be tough to forget about this past month. I'm sure my new Crafty will do all it can to to help me forget.

Thank you to those who made suggestions and recommendations. Either S&B finally got tired of hearing from me, or knew something was amis with CS, or re-examined my warranty claim. Anyhow, I thank them for a proper decision. I hope my experience was the exception.

BTW the new serial number is : CY033***. Can't wait to fire it up! Woohoo!!!

I'm glad to hear this was finally resolved!

I have friends that used to do that. They developed an association between using cannabis and defecating. That then developed into a response of always having to defecate when they used cannabis as a result.
Well that certainly puts a new meaning to 'loading the bowl'!

Now all they need to do is bring out a vape that can be used in the shower, us brits need a water-proof vape!

I received one in August from S&B America, serial #26xxx, firmware version 2.07. I've read that 2.08 has been shipping. I hope that the one OG_LH got 8 days ago would at least have the reinforced housing? My earlier unit 11xxx did not.

My 3 rd Crafty is on it's way back to S&B for a replacement. This unit was firmware 2.07 and lasted less than 9 weeks. If this next unit lasts only a few months or less, I will be demanding a partial refund or a Mighty as a replacement. The failure rate on this unit is unacceptable, IMO.

They charge a fee to upgrade to the Mighty. That's if they offer it to you in the first place though.

What is the problem with this one?

My 3rd lasted 9 weeks, this week came the dreaded red/orange lights. Adios, amigo, have a nice flight.
Was 26xxx, ver. 2.07.
I enclosed a pretty strong love note.
Have I mentioned lately that I do really enjoy using the Crafty? It kicks ass, when I have a working one in hand.

I used to do drugs. I still do, but I used to, too

Sorry about your Crafty, that blows.

Could you please tell us how often you use your Crafty and how many times a day would you normally fully charge it? Maybe a Mighty would be a better option?

I'm just wondering if those with problems are using this device like a desktop vaporizer.
I know I was, until my 2nd 2.07 unit.

Charging the thing 4 or 5 times and running it hot all day was killing it.

I now charge my Crafty once a day and use it as an actual discrete portable along side a desktop unit and have had no further issues whatsoever.

This morning I had to celebrate but after loading my Crafty bowl I realized it didn't work well and badly needed a clean up. I did it but still no vapor, changed every fucking ring and gave up, still no vapor. And used another vape.
Now I hook it up to the phone and what? Temperature is set to 145°C THAT'S WHY IT DIDN'T WORK LOL.

I probably use my Crafty about 4 times a day on average and charge about twice a day.

Yes, I'm aware of their inconsistencies with their customers.

Flashing red and orange lights of death.

Can anyone advise me, if I vape with this unit in my car or walking down the street, how noticeable would the smell be to people walking past? Have to take my vaping outside while we look to move out and it's gotten me a little paranoid. Any advice would be great. Thanks all

Depends on strain and weather conditions imo.
Maybe just don't vape in heaps public areas if you're paranoid?

I don't think the car is an issue though, smell will dissipate fairly quickly and won't stain/stay around like smoking does.

Thanks for response man. Yeah I usually walk around the block at night but some old guy was out last night when I was walking back and then I didn't know if the smell would likely go in through open windows. Think I'll just chill in the car until the move.

My first couple of months with Crafty I could only access it when a friend came over with a smart phone. Not a viable long-term situation!

On several occasions, with (3) different units, I've experienced this: Switch on and the usual red light is not steady, it is blinking. First time or two, not knowing what to do, tried off and back on but still blinking, then when it changes to green, the green light is not steady, it's blinking**! Run and get the app running, to see that it has set itself to max temp, 210C., and reached that. Quickly used the "reset to default" button in the app and it corrected immediately. On one occasion, I used the switch on the device to force a reset, and that worked also. Now, I do a reset every so often as a bit of a precaution. Maybe like re-booting a computer or phone. Ground Hog Day!

There's no particular regularity to this, and I don't want to call it a big problem. I've seen it once in every couple of months, roughly, and the reset has always worked.

** I know that blinking red usually means boost has been activated, and that blinking green means boost temp reached. This situation is different in that I didn't double click to call for boost, nor did I ever preset the boost to reach this high temperature.

My setting most of the time is 185°C with boost at 205°C (I realized I tend to cough at 210°C so it now goes max temp only if paired with glass).
So I use the app just to switch vibration and lights on/off depending on the stealth needed.
I'd love to have a sort of feedback to tell how much battery there is, without having to look at the phone (ie: double tap on the button when not in use=> 1 to 4 vibrations meaning 0% to 100% juice power).
That way I could use it without ever touching the phoen.
Or at least give us an icon with a the battery percentage left as an Android widget always on screen.

It's all in the reflexes.
I got a crafty the second week it was out. Mines still goin with about 80hrs on it. It's not my daily driver. I have a log for that. I've kept up with the thread. Seems like crafty is not able to survive constant use.
