I used to do drugs. I still do, but I used to, too
Think the guys here put a small cut in the screen so you can adjust the size a bit so it doesn't scrape the oven walls. Thanks! So just push a screen down on the load and go to work?

If you simply asked them to do that in your letter, they should contact you once they read it to get the upgrade fee payment and then they will send you a Mighty. It should be a very painless process.
Oh was it ever difficult to go back to mflb since my crafty is overheating. The crafty spoils us. I remember when I first got the crafty I was thinking my magicflight is just as good but I get it now.
My crafty was overheating and shutting down over the weekend so I didn't use it Monday today I tried it at 210 Celsius all the way with no overheating. Does this mean that it may occasionally overheat or that overheating is a sign that it's going to stop working?

Seems simple but can you elaborate please?
Ok so I've ordered a new thermal fuse, well I've ordered 10 they cost less than the delivery.
I am loving the performance from my crafty now, it never overheats now, the base is cool and heat up is a very consistent 1.20 from 24c to 190c timed it every time I've remembered and it's always the same.
What's the heat up time from a new crafty?
Yep, there's a thread for everything here at FC.Lol there is a thread for that!
Thanks, I'm sorry for my ignorance I've only ever been on this thread. I don't have time to read what's been put on here since I was last on about 2 months ago, it gets a bit overwhelming if I'm honest!
Thanks for the info.
The overheating issues were addressed with the 2.07 firmware upgrade. Email S&B and ask them nicely to send you a shipping label for your warranty return.
Well it didn't last long, I have the red and yellow lights of death, but never fear after investigation I've found another design fault, and possibly why it's failed and why the base gets so hot! The heater is remove able (not soldered to the board) the leg of the internal 10a fuse is a push fit and so is the yellow lead next to it. I can see where the joint has oxidised and become a resistive joint, I'm assuming it's this that has caused the internal 10a thermal fuse to blow causing the flashing lights.
I still have the correct resistance across the heater post fuse so I maybe tackling a fix ( if temporary I need my meds)
VJ
I'll update if I fix it. If it was easy to put pics on I'd do that too.
Fixed! Removed the fuse (temporarily) soldered the heater to the board switched on working just got to rebuild it for a vape! Was starting to get worried I'd have to get the extreme q out!
I'd say what I've found is a serious issue!! Heat up time from cold is now super fast!!!! The temp jumps is 3-4 degree at a time right the way up I didn't time it but it was about 1.30 at a guess.
Edit: Just timed it from 24c to 190c comes in at a super speed of 1 minute 18 seconds
Happily back vaping!!!
I suppose being a geek with electronics has helped me a bit but I hope I can help others!!!!
Thanks Hairy fish for the info enabling me to post this photo
Would taking hit after hit help? Because that causes your oven to drop temp right
You'll get an error on the app if it gets too hot. As long as your unit is working fine, I wouldn't worry about it. That same overheat error message might also appear in other circumstances IIRC. Maybe from a low battery or something. I forget 'cause I vape too much.Overheating? Will the app tell you that? Cause I never open my app, lol. My crafty never dies or anything mid session.
27 hours in. Im also on 2.07.
and Ive been boosting alot lately. Should I be worried and open the app for warnings?

Definitely, with all of your ailmentsWould taking hit after hit help?
what exactly is addressed with the 2.07 firmware? my brand new crafty came with FW 2.07, but I also had these overheating issues already...
you should provide S&B this improvement proposal. maybe you did it already? or does S+B staff read this thread also?
The overheating issue could be different reasons for different people, it could be that the unit is not really overheating, it could be issues with the specification of the thermistor, software programming or even bad batteries that are heating up more than they originally specified.
The first indication you have the poor fuse/heater connection fault I have found is the heat generated from the base of the unit. This is now obvious for me and hopefully you guy's, the base started getting noticeably hot around 70ish hours. Sometimes worse than others but it definitely got worse as it reached up to 150 hrs.
I would like to think they have people looking but how would we know?
Not really, it will cause the oven temp to drop but only by a little bit and only for a few seconds, it's a really good heater, try open your app and see how low you can drop the temp by inhaling, it's a fun game think my best is a 7°c drop before my lungs are full and I run out of puff.
Personally I wouldn't worry just use it and enjoy it, if it breaks you should get a new one anyways.
I don't use the app often either and I could be wrong here but I think you get flashing lights to show overheating also, never happened to me though so I'm not sure
7 Celsius isn't much compared to Fahrenheit. I was clicking it back and forth to check
Edit 190c= 374f
197=386.6
So it varies through the temp range. 7 c is 44 f I think it said. Go higher up and it is less of a difference
