Does anyone know if it is ok to top off the Crafty battery in between uses or should I only charge the battery once it is completely drained?
Technically, the best way to keep your device's battery is between 30% and 70% before each load, both ideal if your device is new and can withstand 3 sessions, would be to use two times and then load.

My Crafty arrived in Oakland on Tuesday. One day turnaround time, two day priority mail. When I was on the phone, she told me next week, hinted at the possibility that it could be sooner; but played her estimate conservative. I got to thank Wootze because I wouldn't have believed it's possible to get a package from Oakland to the East coast in such short order. The package was literally put on a red eye flight. :science:

My new Crafty heats up wayyy faster, it's scary, it literally is catching me by surprise because I was so used to the other one's cycle. Clouds on clouds on clouds, just like I remember. I have been missing this like mad. I have a cloud EVO and that's good enough on it's own...... But there's something about the extraction on this thing.... I get much better ABV out of the Crafty.

Their customer service is no joke. If you are really desperate to get your unit back, priority mail it to them, let them send you a brand new unit. I have two cooling chambers, two stirring picks, two orange filling and grinder.

Incredible service. Incredible product while operational.

I wish I had received the same service. I sent my unit priority mail on Monday and it was received on Wednesday. They sent me tracking on Thursday and the unit was sent FedEx ground and is scheduled to arrive next Thursday. Not exactly the quick turnaround I was expecting.

What is a normal heat up time?

Just timed mine and it took 3 minutes 25 seconds to get to the low temp setting (factory settings).

thats a long time, but it could be an intentional change they made. what range is your serial number?
i think in the older models it was about 2:30 to 2:40

Mine takes on average about 2 minutes to heat up to 356F after 28 hours of use.
If you guys would like to play along, I made a thread to collect this type of data to attempt to better understand heat up times during a Crafty's lifecycle.

I haven't officially timed, but I feel like my Crafty gets to 360F in under 2 minutes. This thing is incredible. Like I said, I have an EVO, that's a great vape right there. My thing with the EVO is I always load it up and take massive drags, I don't use it like a standard vape. When you have a sipper like this, your session is much more balanced and incremented.

With the EVO it's a big hitter, but I can't seem to get the same fucking chocolate brown ABV. That's extraction to me.

I'm sure you could do it, I just don't turn my EVO up all the way and try to get my ABV dark. Two-three massive plumes and I'm out.

With the Crafty, the temperature progressively increases and it gets thicker and thicker. A round about guess is I'm getting 15-20 massive plumes. That's incredible. If you were to pack that up in a pipe and set it a-light, you'd get 4-5 nice drags tops. More hits, longer lasting effect, not such a contrasted sharp come down period, more gradual.

For those in waiting, I know Storz will take care of you and you'll have another by the end of this week.

It's incredible how much I missed this thing. It's just so much power in a very tidy little package.

It's as powerful (if not more) as 85% of desktop vapes, and it's the size of a wallet. That's design baby.

I researched this topic once and it's better to recharge after every use. More full battery cycles you do faster it goes.

I grew some Blue Dream, damn that came out frosty! I was loyal to Dutch breeders but I got to give it to you California! Blue Dream is my pick for the season, has icing like a cake. I use fresh, just dried bud, never compressed, cut with trimmers. Works so easy with even less drag then grinded street bought. Finally I can milk my pieces

@Ratchett I'm not surprised more people buy 14mm, that's the hydratube/pinnacle water tool size =) This combo is a BEAST! I've been using Ratchett's adapter for the past few weeks, and beside the smell which was gone the same day I got my envelope everything stays the same - marvelous. Nobody has said to me "you know what I need to roll a joint" since I've been using these two accessories

Just uploaded 1.6 with an polling option ( needs to be enabled in the settings ) - this might fix the lollipop problem on old devices - let me know if it works for you - I only have a crafty with new FW

So after about 24 hours of owning the Crafty, I have to say I am very happy with my purchase. I haven't had this consistent vapor production since using a VG (and this is effortless)! The vibration is a nice indicator, I have to get used to things other than my phone doing it. So far I have only tried to answer my Crafty twice.

One thing that I have noticed is that the auto shut-off and me don't seem to agree on when we're done. Nothing that can't be fixed with a tap of the button from time to time, just something I have to train into my muscle memory while I'm not taking large hits (after recovering from this cold, however...). Can an update to the App provide timing modification, or is this pretty strict because of the battery?

I am curious about using different Micro USB cables to charge the Crafty. The one I use for my phone has 2.1 A as opposed to 2 A on the OEM cable, and I wouldn't want to do any damage to the Crafty battery. As of now I have only used the original out of fear, but I would like to have a longer cable.

I feel like I have gotten consistent baking throughout the chamber every time. So much so that after the third bowl I stopped stirring completely, results seemed to be the same.

Anyone else feel like they're going to lose that tamping tool?

Glad you got sorted.

That cable will work fine as long as it is undamaged, the crafty will only draw as much power as it needs regardless of the spec cable, unless lower than say 1.5A then it will still work but slower (although a slower charge is not always a bad thing)

Good afternoon all. I have had my crafty for less than a month. I went from one hits and bong rips exclusively to the Crafty. I have a couple of questions if someone could take the time to answer I would appreciate it.
I already have 32 hours on mine. While I consider myself a heavy smoker I find it very hard to believe I have been using it for that amount of time. Any input?
I was on about 1/2 ounce every 10 days. I'm now at 1/2 every 8?
I find the default Temps sufficient but I still cough every draw. Am I being a puss or...?
Anybody use their Crafty AVB for butter or oil? Any good? Mine is light to dark brown. I'd like to make some cookies to take on vacation but don't want to waste a whole day if the Crafty uses everything up.
Any and all feedback is appreciated.
Erik
