Very helpful reviewGot my Crafty on Monday. Haven't tested is as much as I would like to but I will share my initial thoughts and add to them later, if necessary.
Like the size a lot. Fits very easily in my pocket. I don’t drive so this is extremely important for me. I absolutely love the build quality, love the engineering, and love the vape quality. There are lots of small pieces but they all fit together nicely. The device feels sturdy and well built, albeit with a lot of plastic. I find the vapor to be very strong and very clean. Taste is excellent and might even be a bit better than the Volcano.
For me, the size of the oven is perfect. Not too big, not too small but just right. Like it was made for Goldie Lox.
Biggest concern is that I have been only able to get about three chambers per battery charge. For me, this was a disappointment. I was hoping for more. Just like my old iPhone, while it was easy to charge, I didn’t enjoy being forced to do it so often.
The charging cord is short. A little too short for me. Although it is very cool that you can vape while charging if you are partially charged, the cord is too short for this to practically work.
The LED is really bright. So bright that you really can't charge this thing in your bedroom while you sleep. I would dim the LED but I use an iPhone and the iOS app is still under review. When it comes out, the first thing I will do is dim the LED.
The screen at the bottom of the oven seems impossible to clean. I consider this to be a drawback because it will eventually get extremely dirty.
All in all, I love the device. Just wish the battery lasted longer, that the cord was longer, and that the screen under the oven could be cleaned. Will try my best to answer any questions you good people might have. Can’t wait for the iOS app!
Beam me up.
Welcome to FC! Nice review. In regards to the screen, if it's anything like the Plenty or Volcano I'm pretty sure all it takes is brushing after each session and you're fine. Also, it sounds like you are getting less sessions per charge than I've seen reported so far. Maybe something is up with your unit?
Amount of sessions may also vary from user to user depending on usage habits

..Thank you! Regarding the vapor being "strong", do you mean to say that it is dense, and if so, which temp/s did you use and did the ABV show good color? How does vapor density compare to other vapes you have used ? How was your draw speed? Thanks again!
You may wish to try adding an extra screen to cover the original for more debris filtration. It may or may not hinder draw effort. Please let us know. Thanks! Glad to have something to contribute. I've been brushing it each time but I can already see some tiny bits getting through. It's less of a problem with my Volcano because there is a screen holding the material that sits on top of the screen on the device. For the Crafty, the material goes straight on top of the screen that is built into the device.
It's possible I have a bum unit, although I would be surprised if Storz shipped anything that was not extensively tested. I've inquired with Storz to try and determine if that is the case. Will also continue to test and report back on how long it lasts over a larger sample of charges.
Very true. Not sure how to use it more efficiently but would be eager to hear any suggestions that you or others might have about maximizing battery life.
I don't quite understand why S&B opted for an external operating system for temp selections. Why not just build in 3-6 popular user selectable vape temps via dial or readout? Charging w/USB is wonderful, but USB for temp programming just seems more gimmicky to me than practical.
Less moving parts in such a small package, greater reliability and more options.I don't quite understand why S&B opted for an external operating system for temp selections. Would such additional features require modifying the brain board inside the unit?I sent a question to Storz&Bickel about the possibility of more features to the app. More than 2 preset temps would be great if they can program it to the app, also the possibility of turning off the auto switch off- function.
Would such additional features require modifying the brain board inside the unit?
No, on the Android app there is a firmware option for the unit.Would such additional features require modifying the brain board inside the unit?
either the 'Cano, the Plenty or the PAX. Is this because most of you purchase your product in the European market or is there
* As you draw, I can see on the app that the temperature fluctuates very rapidly; really seems like much effort into keeping a consistent temp with a constant draw rate.
So you can actually see the temperature change in real time on the app during use? That's pretty cool.As you draw, I can see on the app that the temperature fluctuates very rapidly; really seems like much effort into keeping a consistent temp with a constant draw rate.
I'm noticing that most who have purchased either the Plenty or the Mighty has only had experience with either the 'Cano, the Plenty or the PAX. Is this because most of you purchase your product in the European market or is there another dynamic going on here?
