Cloud Connoisseur Glass

Are there additional 10mm influx mouthpieces that can be purchased? Or has anyone tried the calypso type a with an adapter on the mini?

I'm heavily considering getting a mini influx because the 14mm isn't available; I'm just slightly worried about finding a replacement in the event the mouthpiece breaks.

Also, would someone please dm me a current link to the discord?

Just wanted to drop in and say I had received my Prophet ! It is really a nice piece, very effective, I am really impressed :bowdown:I will post pics later but in the mean time, I wonder what is the best way for cleaning that kind of glass piece ? I must say I am pretty anxious when shaking it around with Iso in it … I can be clumbsy sometimes lol

If you get some plugs for it you can add you iso, plug it up, and then shake it with a safer grip, etc. If there's anything too stuck, try iso with kosher salt as an abrasive. Not sure what you could reach in the Prophet but a waterpik is really helpful with a lot of pieces.

I just use silicone plugs and iso for my prophet. It's worked great for years.

Do y'all plan on making any 10mm joint accessories? I'd love a pass through ash catch.

I'm not sure since the 10 mm pieces are more designed for dabbing where you would not need pass through or ash catch? I'll ask what he's thinking... I am still hoping we can get dropdown adapters that go 18-14 and 14-18, I also like to use 10 mm that way myself for other vapes connecting

Also, please @Shit Snacks could I please get a discord link? I want to see if anyone has posted a function video of the mini! ^_^

Messaged you the link, there are definitely function videos there, and on Instagram I think? Tricky to find maybe

As per my name I'd be using it with the Tempest, and I've seen very few nice 10mm ash catchers/accessories. Or 14mm female adapters for that matter. Lol

Yeah I guess that has the standard dyna style connect with 10mm? I always want to use dropdown adapter with vaping regardless, but I have 18-10 and 14-10 since I am connecting larger vape connections to smaller glass pieces, not the other way around... Rick Bird Barry does really nice work and can make a custom dropdown however you like... Probably would be a good market for a 10 mm female to 14 mm male adapter with a pass-through plug, someone must offer that somewhere?? They should...

V2 design is much thicker and better made
Yeah, that is the downside of being an early adopter sometimes. Win some, lose some. No more pre-orders from me for a while. Especially considering the wait on this last batch.

As always, QC and timeline for fulfillment are a challenge for China glass.

Maybe I'll get an American glass artist to copy a Chinese piece for a change. 🤣🤣🤣 Might be the only way to get one without the CC logo (sorry, just not a logo guy)

I'm not sure why you are looking to pick fights in this thread but please stop.

I also hope that you are not implying that Cloud Connoisseur copies anyone's designs. I think that would be a shitty false thing to imply and would especially sting given that I know that iDB has been a friend to you in the past.

Exclusively, and I love it. I've tried other dropdowns and without, not the same. I love this.

Gotta agree. It isn’t cheap, but especially the 18mm is worth the money. It keeps that open 18mm airflow unlike so many other ash catchers that constrict quickly to 14mm, so it really doesn’t change an open draw much at all… although it will take a fraction of a second longer to clear the glass because of the extension. Really unobtrusive piece in how it works while preserving the integrity of the piece it connects to’s draw. If you run 18mm, it can be hard to find an ash catcher that doesn’t leave a profound impact on how you draw vapor while it is connected.

14mm is a slightly different story, although the design is still cool on many but not all pieces. There are many ash catchers with an open 14mm draw, and there are far cheaper options than this. The main attraction here for 14mm is getting a piece that might match your CC glass.

The 18mm steals the show here. If you run 14, you might be ok just buying ye olde cheap glass ash catcher unless you want to match and pair it with something specific from CC.

It does have a wonderfully Dr Seuss-ian kind of shape that, let’s be honest, pleases a stoner’s eye. It is asymmetrical in a cool way, and often I turn my pieces sideways with it, while pointing the mouthpiece towards me, to let it spread out in a unique left to right way that keeps the pass through handy.

I bought it and felt bad while I waited because it was so expensive. But after having it for a couple weeks, I would quickly buy another if it broke. It is NOT as fancy as some CC pieces. No water or smoke tricks. Just direct linear draw. But real thought went into its ash catching abilities. With a few extra built in catch points as the air flows through to capture so much ash or in my case, AVB, but it does a great job of keeping my main pieces clean. Just some hot water rinsed through in most cases to get them shiny again.

I don’t want to oversell it. I have already written too many words about what is a simple but oddly shaped ash catcher. What you see is what you get. It just happens to be delightfully good at its job. It feels bespoke, well designed, hand blown, and oddly pleasing to the eye. Its imbalance is a LOT of the charm.

Suggest getting a fumed piece even if it doesn’t match everything else because it makes this Dr Seuss contraption stand out on its own.

My Calypso and dropdown just arrived!

Honestly, I just want to look at it and admire it. But since you don't get high just by looking at it, I went ahead and took my first bowl with the Omega. And all I can say is: wow! :whoa::razz:

I've only ever had a few water pieces from DHGate and I've actually been pretty happy with them - but the Calypso is on a whole other level. The vapor is wonderfully smooth and yet full of flavor, just fantastic. The size is also ideal, a bowl (in this case the glass bowl from CC) can easily be finished in one hit.

As for the dropdown: Absolutely exceptional. Design, workmanship, function - simply perfect. @FlimsyKnuckle describes it perfectly. Thanks to the repeated recommendation of a certain user here :brow:, I only use my water pieces with dropdowns - but from now on with a lot more style.

I don't know if @iDRINKBLEACH is still reading here, but I want to thank him for the amazing work. @Shit Snacks, as far as I understand you were also involved in the development of the Calypso - thank you very much, I think you guys have created something truly great here.

Quick question: What's your routine for water changes and a full cleaning? I change the water after every finished bowl and when I'm done I rinse the piece with hot water, shake out the water as best I can, and dry the outside with a cloth and put it aside. I don't do much more on a daily basis though, I only use ISO when the dirt becomes visible. Is this sufficient? Or do you guys have a more thorough cleaning routine?

My Prophet hasn't made it to me yet, unfortunately. But it should be coming soon and I'm really looking forward to it. In the meantime, I'm going to devote myself to the Calypso, my most beautiful water piece by far.

How are your Calypsos doing? Are you happy with them? Which mouthpiece do you prefer?

And where are the pictures? This thread needs more photos of these beauties!

Nice! If you are changing the water after literally every bowl, I can't imagine you'll need to do much deep cleaning ever, that is extremely frequent and I am betting your flavor profile strongly benefits as a result!
