Cheap High Quality Bubbler

You also have to take into consideration the water diffusion during the pillar function too, it acts as 4 mini recycling tubes
exactly, and the matrix pillar has more that 4 tubes. it's probably going to be epic diffusion haha, great for smoking, maybe not so much for vaping.

For whatever reason it may be, people say that authentic peyote pillars are great flavor retainers.

Something that has to be considered with the gb-186 (which is a favorite of mine), is that the stacking is also exposing more of the vapor to water every time a bubble pops and a new one is made. With the pillars, once the bubbles are formed, they travel untouched for several inches, before bubbling again, depending on how much water you put in the piece.

That said, every piece is not for everyone, so it's cool that we have so many cheap options (sub $100) on dhgate.

Looking forward to seeing how this one comes out.

hmm it should be interesting, hopefully you're right. to me it just seems like the top section is actually diffusing them more.

Maybe for the massive dab/bud hits from a cloud or log vape though, I could see that being awesome, but from a portable or not huge production cloud vape (like myself with the solo, it gets clouds, just not huge airflow and doesnt mix well with concentrate ime) I would definitely go for either the shorty pillar for vapes/larger dabs on occasion, or maybe something like the gb187s/fc187v2 (or 3 now? i cant keep track) based on it's sole recommendations, personally I haven't picked up a matrix perc yet so I'm waiting for the perfect matrix to get out there. The new gb187s look very clean, but I also want to see stevenlmz's take on the stereo matrix and how fresh cut the percs are.
Edit: and to @EverythingsHazy with peyote's being good flavor savors, you can tell just by their design that they would keep a good flavor- for example in the mini peyote: first an airway channel/section before the perc, then low diffusion from the 4 slits on the perc, then multiple vapor paths for the vapor to recycle through the water on it's way up; when compared to a single recycling tube piece, you can see why there will be much larger capacity and area for the vapor to contact, which will in turn diffuse the piece but also provide a small perc method with a MP that doesn't seem to get splackback

This thread is pretty amazing. I remember reading it about a year ago but nothing really caught my interest. A friend of mine just bought a piece off of dhgate and received it a few days ago and was blown away by the cost for the quality that he got.

I had been saving up for a nice ~$300 piece and was considering a Mobius because I loved my stereo matrix until I broke it :( I was also considering a custom recycler. This thread just made my decision easy as I could buy 6 pieces for the cost of one piece. I powered through the last 30 pages of posts and pulled the trigger on a FC-187 v2. Thanks Ratchett and weenstoned for the great pictures helping to compare. I never actually got to see a GB 187 next to a FC-187 v2 so it was hard to make a decision on two very similar looking pieces. From looking at @Ratchett post http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/cheap-high-quality-bubbler.5255/page-585#post-742342 comparing a FC-187 v1 to a GB-187 and @weenstoned post at http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/cheap-high-quality-bubbler.5255/page-585#post-742763 comparing an FC-187 V1 to V2 I decided to pull the trigger on the V2. It looks like the V2 may have thicker glass and the fact that I can get the mouthpiece on the left works better for my setup. I primarily use a herbalizer and an EVO to some extent so this piece seems like a good fit. I am tired of bending my neck over since I have no bent neck mouthpieces.

I will keep reading this site as these Chinese guys get better because there are still several other piece types I want to get. I am hoping they really nail the recycler designs that perform similar to the distilled glass thread. I also think I want a honeycomb but I have not seen anything that strikes me yet. They really need more 18mm female joints for us vapor enthusiasts. I don't dab but it seems most pieces are 14mm male joints which I don't want.

I really hate the search and organization of dhgate. Has anyone found good accessories on there they like?

Hey all, check out my post from the EVO thread for an all glass vapor path for using the FC710 and the vapexnail or just with flowers. I've been knocked the F out with this setup recently.
I've been using my FC710 with my EVO inverted for major flavor keeping. Thought I'd do the same with my nail and some silicone tubing but I went a bit overboard after I noticed the my FC710 and the EVO were about the same height...so:science: a few adapters later, I give you alltoreup's all glass vapor path for concentrates or flowers for the EVO using a Claisen, two 90°s and a stopper. Just pull the stopper to clear it.

Yeah.... you could get more than a few decent pieces on DhGate for the same $300! I usually head over to iOffer for accessories. Have found both bakebros & oregonglassblower to be good stuff at a fair price. Not as cheap as DhGate, but better quality. Funny..... all of my oregonglassblower adapters are much better quality - and damned near as much cost! (really not that bad) - as the bubblers I use them on.

I've bought a bunch of stuff of Oregon Glass Blower. I have these 18mm male to 18mm female adapters with pinches. They are heavy duty and I can stuff hemp fiber in there. You can read more about that in the vaping with cotton thread.

You convinced me. I just bought the FC-710 now and am waiting to hear back from that ebay seller on those adapters I need. I only need two right angle ones and the 14 female/18 female so I am hoping he will cut me a deal. How was the quality on those adapters? Are they fairly thick and sturdy glass because I am looking at buying from the same seller.

@John Lewus The adapters are good quality. Not Oregon glass blower thick or anything but good. The 90s are actually both 90 degrees. Not slightly angled like you will find many cheap dropdowns. The 18/14 fits both my FC710 and the EVO snugly with no wobbling. I will recommend keck clips as a must have for the setup. Then you can simply pull the entire contraption off to change the ELB.
My LHS recommended the metal ones as they aren't as stiff and don't put as much stress on the glass when you pop them on and off and as far as I can tell they are correct. Plus they are more low profile. I've found that unless you need 10 k clips it's just as cheap to get mine locally. Plus I get to chuckle at their glass prices while I'm there.

Holy Mackerel. $18 each for the metal keck clips? Use a couple and it equals the cost of the piece...
