I just went ahead and ordered the kathy egg, I was holding back but after seeing the pictures I figured it was only a matter of time . I like how the white one looks but I really wish she would sell a clear one too.

I got the first kathy egg with the honeycomb and I really don't like it. Joint is angled, my perc was crooked and didn't like how it hit. But it was a $40 egg and the best thing available at the time. I'll probably give it to a friend so it will at least get some use. I want to try to have at least one egg in my collection if only to sit on my table as decoration

It sucks, but I've contacted kathy and sent those pics so we'll see how it pans out...

Those are straight up cold seals, the glass never fully bonded, that's why it snapped off that clean.
What do you think @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd ?

Im looking for some opinions, I have an UD in the mail matrix as I type and have being debating on picking up the FC 187. I own the pnwt and d020. I use my hammer out of the d020 a lot, and sometimes my pnp but thats mainly a stealth vape for out side the home. I just want to kno will I find the fc 187 more rewarding than the d020 with an UD?

@Frederick McGuire after cleaning mine this morning i noticed a fracture at that same support. I would recommend everyone hold off on the New Kathy Egg. I found a way to fix it before it broke. I always fix any salvageable piece with silicone. So i managed to save mine before it actually broke. @mixchu69 and @BoogerMan you may want to hold off on ordering this piece. If any of you get this piece I highly recommend getting some $4 silicone and put it on that joint to reinforce the weld. Those couple of bucks will save your other already invested $40. And @Frederick McGuire yours is easily fixable with the silicone. Don't know if it's worth your time though

Depends on what you define as 'more rewarding' - The FC-187 will provide more diffusion and a larger 'can' than your D020. You will get bigger cooler rips with less flavor with the FC-187

I still love pulling out my D020 every few months and using it for a week or two before moving on to some other glass - it's fun to switch them up from time to time

I have the Kathy Feeb egg. Ihaven't noticed the bridge weld being bad on mine. But there is a small stress crack near one of the 4 places that
Connect the upper half to the lower half.

Not to be that guy, but neither pillar piece from Steven are peyote pillars because the peyote part of the peyote pillar, is the ball perc with gridded slits, under the pillars. There are a mini pillar and a matrix pillar being produced.


That cleared up, how do the pillars look up close? It's the first time a Chinese vendor makes pillars.

@Ratchett hit the nail on the head! I'm personally am waiting for the UFO piece, I think it's going to be taking over as my daily driver.

My current daily driver is my D-022! It's the perfect amount of diffusion, flavor city especially with log vapes. My RedwoodDog sits on there all day long!!

Not to be that guy, but neither pillar piece from Steven are peyote pillars because the peyote part of the peyote pillar, is the ball perc with gridded slits, under the pillars.

I've been meaning to ask about this. Is the peyote perc supposed to look like a peyote button, or is it just a drugy association kind of thing?

Edit: Nevermind. The ones I have seen were always after they have dried for a while and were more disk shaped. I just looked online and noticed that when they are fresh they are rounder, and more berry shaped. So, like I say, nevermind.

Hell, I'd love to be able to fix it, but I have no idea how I'd be able to get that base of the downstem to join back up.
Its such an awkward place it broke at...

I have started wanting one of the double perc 186 style pieces, just to have something larger on hand for my big lung friends, but must wait a while before I can go after one, low funds is good GAS control . I saw Steven post a video that looks a lot like the M60t style body/double matrix perc, wouldn't mind getting one of those. Here's the vid I found of it...

that matrix/pillar also has my attention, going to wait a while to see what people get on the first wave. Wish the eggs were not falling apart, I was looking at those too, with some consideration.
