Cheap High Quality Bubbler

I figure with the side car, the slope and the sheer size of that MP should prevent any splashback from reaching the lips, idk. I can fill my D-020-W pretty full w/o SB.

I get splashback on my GB-187 the first few hits with very little water. The ION isn't very tall in comparison:

DSrcSHOl.jpg
So that's what my glass looks like when it's clean... Note to self: clean glass tomorrow.

FWIW, I don't get any splashback on my 187 and I fill the water to 1cm over the top perc.

The ion is about 60mm wide, while the GB-187 is about 55mm. Both have .5cm thick cans.

:peace:

I like kleins and all but @blankrider, ride them about the peyote pillar. I've never even been close enough to one to figure out how the hell it works but I've always wanted one. Something about water flowing upward just gets me. lol
I think I just found the best Peyote Piller video.

Thank you PhillyGlassConnect

@VaPeD&CoNfUsEd I think I figured out how it works, finally. I had to watch a lot of different videos to finally get it

The vapor travels into the main chamber and between the pillars towards a large hole at the bottom center of the main chamber. On the lower side of the hole is the peyote perc. The vapor travels through the center hole and through the smaller holes on the peyote perc. The vapor is now going through water and bubbles up the pillars into the top chamber where the bubbles pop and the water falls back down.

I hope that makes sense. It's the best I could come up with :D

I LOVE it, it hits beautifully and the mouthpiece is beautiful. Also has a concentrate bowl next to dabber rack (first piece I've used or owned with either one )

o my, what a RUMBLER!! upon breathing my rips out, I am shocked to see so much come out after such a smooth rip ^^

can't wait for my yingmin pieces-- just a lil worried tho since I saw in my tracking:

@Mr. Gweilo 420
I think ccg has had that piece for a while.

Doesn't look appealing in the slightest to me.

So it should just be a big chuggy natural perc in the bottom chamber, but the return is so low there's a chance it won't even fire properly...

You'd need a very high water level for a natural perc to get the water up the uptake tube...

gold all in my chains...dont believe me just watch
Wouldn't a slower pull cause more diffusion? The vapor would move through the water slower, thus spending more time cooling from contact with water and glass.
i could be wrong but this is how i think about it:

  • a slower pull would have the fluid (gas) move through the pathway at a slower rate. however, since the vapor is less dense than water, buoyancy would push it up out of the water very quickly (the gas would "float" and stay above the water). so, unless the area above the water was so packed with vapor (which it couldn't be since you would be pulling on it, clearing more space at the top as you breathe), it wouldn't go back down into the water. also, the slow speed would mean that the vapor just touches the surface of the water before getting pushed upwards...follow my thinking?
  • so if you pull fast, the gas would be pulled further to the bottom of the water (because the higher speed = further distance travelled) before rising up...therefore spending more time in the water and getting more "filtered". i hate using the term water filtered because if you think about it, the inside of the air bubble doesn't get filtered in the water...its basically like the outer shell of the bubble keeps getting peeled off and the center of the bubble remains "unfiltered". this is why i think they started making these slits and stuff so the bubbles entering the water are smaller and increase surface area contact with the water...
so, i would actually think that the faster you pull, the more longer water is in contact with the vapor, and the more "filtered" your vapor is. but i just bought a cheap one from dhgate and it will be my first, so i really haven't tested this theory out yet...

after i purchased, i noticed a few people say that they only will buy from alina...her prices are a few dollars more expensive than the one i got (but its the same style piece). should i consider that mine will not be coming? i sorted my dhgate list by lowest price and bought the 1st one that came up..."perc tall 7.5" glass bubbler" is what can be searched and it will be the top one when ordered by cheapest price.

if i had known that she was who we @ FC all agreed to buy from, i would have spent the extra few bucks to get from her...but i used credit card anyways, so i know that I'm protected at least...

Just out of curiosity, how many of you have used a real sovereignty peyote pillar? Or are you just asking for them because they are popular and expensive? Either way it's all good, I just want to know.

I have hit a real pillar on multiple occasions. Smoking flowers and dabbing with a health stone. It is a unique hit

It doesn't even have to be a peyote perc at the bottom. They could use the little mini matrix that's in the little recycler (I forget the numbers it goes by) I just got that you turned me on to @blankrider.
I think that would be awesome. I think the Peyote is awesome i'd never paid any attention to those. That and the BatesxWorm are 2 very unique pieces I've never really noticed until lately. I want them!!

I have seen other people like Itza make pillars but I have never ever seen a diffusion pump knock off. Why is that? It doesn't seem incredibly difficult to produce and they sell for a lot

what is the demand for these things? If a lot of people want them I will see about getting some produced

People love these. Watch a vid for one they are very unique!!! I believe the hit is very smooth. I have no experience though. I WANT ONE
Edit: Watch this Vid:
It shows a lot going on with these diffusion pumps mainly at 45 secs in. If someone is going to duplicate it, they need to get all aspects down

I have one for dabbing and I love it. I seem to have one of the more sensitive throats on FC I think and I can take giant dabs (for me, lol) with barely any throat irritation. It's like the vapor teleports into my lungs. Also you pretty much have to bust a lung and/or overfill it to get splashback.

I'd probably be down for one if they can produce a high quality version. I already have a Mobius Matrix Clear and the Diffusion Pump but cheap backups are nice and I'd worry less taking them to a friend's house. Probably also going to order an FC-187 too when they're out.

Here's a knockoff showerhead to 5 arm pillar that would be a good model to show the manufacturer, makes it easy to understand the function and how its made.

Sign me up for one, especially after @Monsoon's post. Looks awesome!

Yeah this is easy to understand and looks like China could pull it off.

I would prefer more of a bubbler style with a bent neck though. Or even a sidecar :)

I'm not a fan of straight tubes much anymore  they just aren't as comfortable to me anymore.

@BoogerMan Yeah I think a bent neck or sidecar would be better. More comfortable and I get to watch my pieces bubbles while i'm smoking. Best of both worlds

Im pretty sure that it wouldn't be to hard for them to make interchangeable pieces though as I saw one that looked like http://www.hossglass.com/products/h033/

If they can figure it out I definitely buy a couple and they could also sell different downstems / attachable percs that you could swap out. Heres how Hoss glass did it, probably could use their pieces as design layouts http://www.hossglass.com/category/products/build-a-bong/

Seeing the little plastic looking ball in the bottom there raises a concern for me. How will that plastic interact with cleaning chemicals? I'd be concerned it would absorb a flavor from strong cleaners and thus wind up making the whole piece taste off forever. This concern gets amplified WAY more when I consider a china made knock off and them using an air-soft BB or some shit inside there. What is the real bates and worm ball made out of? Looks kinda like a plastic or perhaps a stone of some kind.

Also I will agree with @BoogerMan straight tubes are not as nice or comfortable, sidecar or bent neck all the way now.

In the real one it's a glass ball.
