I'm wondering if I am the only one who hates the YQ42. I use d it a few times without satisfaction and it has been collecting dust ever since. I might have to try it again.
I'm really hoping to see more 18mm female joints as well It seems that almost every new piece has a male joint.
I don't mind it.
The bottom honeycomb is pretty pointless, and I think the weird double ring thing on the mouthpiece looks cheap, but I like the function of the matrix.
It's a lil awkward using it with the LSV+ cloud buddy, but that's the case with most stemless straight tubes IME.
(Protip: if you've got a vape that's hitting you in the forehead, rotate it 90 degrees so that the joint faces left/right instead of straight away - tends to put the vape beside your cheek instead of on your forehead
)
I consider it a fun piece to use for a night every now and then as part of a collection, but a pretty meh piece as a single piece daily driver.
For about $20-30 I got myself a bunch of adapters and keck clips (2 x 18f-14f, 2 x 18f-14m, 4 x 18f-18f adapters & between 10-20 14mm and 18mm keck clips)
So I can turn just about any rig I get into just about any joint I want with 1-2 adapters.
I know a lot of people don't want to deal with adapters, but it makes glass shopping a whole lot easier when you can just ignore joint size and buy what looks cool.
(And by adding the keck clips it makes everything one big solid unit so the odds of breaking something aren't really any higher than a rig without An a adapter.)
Any chance I could see a video of that thing? Would love to see the recycle action on it.
If ya want one quick shoot me a PM with an email address I'll send you through the raw file I've got of it (approx 2 min video, only 2 hits of that rig + LSV), otherwise I'll edit it down to the 20 seconds of actual action and combine it with a couple of other vids I shot the other day and throw the vid up on youtube
HA! so you had the exact same experience - he sends a broken one then asks you to buy something else to help with shipping on the replacement. I might do it but if they both arrive broken im gonna feel like a real dork....
I have had a similar experience with CCG.
A proper review will be going up on the dhgate thread, but the basic gist is:
I got a piece (a little matrix stemline thing) that was non functional due to poor design (but with good workmanship)
They offered me free shipping on my next piece as compensation (I knew the original piece might not function so well, so I figured that was a fair solution)
The 2nd piece I ordered (a recycler with some kind of donut perc) was non functional due to a bad weld on the uptake tube causing a massive restriction and basically making the recycler function in reverse.
I came to an agreement with them to purchase 2 more items (my idea - they didn't prompt me to purchase anything after the recycler) at a discount (essentially free shipping) + send out a replacement for the bad recycler.
I just got in the 2 new items, and the recycler wasn't there.
Contacted CCG and their response had a disrespectful tone (but let's give them the benefit of the doubt and say that's a language barrier...) and they said they never agreed to replace the recycler. Just send me the 2 items at a discount in lieu of the recycler.
The discount on those 2 items was less than I paid for the recycler!
It really sucks that CCG aren't as top notch as kathy and sunshine (and Steven IME) seem to be...
I love the pieces they have, but they're making it hard for me to be a repeat customer...
I've had some issues with orders from kathy and sunshine store too, but they've both rectified the issue quickly and painlessly...
CCG not so much...
I'm still holding out that they'll make it right, but it's getting annoying
