Cheap High Quality Bubbler

So I received my order from sunshinestore today, first time ever ordering from China.
Took 11 days to arrive from the day I placed my order, so pretty good shipping times. Packaging was so good, I was blown away by the amount of care they put into sending out their items. Build quality was excellent, except for one problem....what the fuck is this brownish/red specks around the mouthpiece?!

It seems like it might be rust. A little hard to tell in the pictures, but in person, when you look closely at the mouthpiece theres brownish specs all around the inside and possible outer ring. I was able to get a tiny bit off by scraping it and using ISO, but most of it will not come off at all, even when I scrub hard with 99% ISO. I'm starting to think some of it is trapped inside the glass.
Anyone have similar stuff on their glass before?

That is not the norm. I would message sunshineglass with pictures showing weird particles trapped inside. See what they say

Yeah I sent them a message. Hopefully they get back to me soon.
This sucks though. I was so excited to finally get this little glass rig, but now I'm too sketched out to use it.

It looks to me like radioactive material, I'm guessing they didn't remove it all when they were melting all the waste to make glass.
No, seriously, I will follow @olivianewtonjohn advise and contact SSS.

I was able to talk with them right now through the online chat. Basically they won't do anything because it's only an aesthetic problem in their eyes. He did say that they use straight pyrex and bake all the glass at 2000F after blowing it, so most harmful stuff wouldn't be a problem. I don't know, I still feel a little iffy about it. It's weird, the top is literally the only part of the entire piece that has the particles. I was able to get some spots out but the rest seem to be embedded.

i think you might find its just what ever the kiln was made in that may have just dropped onto the glass when it was being annealed, could have even been on the tool they used to form the mouth. Just remember its sub $50 glass and that is why, you would never see this on a Toro, SG or quality USA made glass and if you did i can guarantee they would replace it

@Frederick McGuire how is it going with that barrel to funnel? I just ordered one. Are you using it for dabs or for vaping? Where does it rank in your collection of DHgate pieces?

I used it, it functions really really well. Better than the barrel to barrel. I'm really keen to drop the money on one myself as soon as I can.

EDIT : I used it for dabs and vaping, works well for both (will need adapter for vaping)

I'm mainly using it for vaping.

I don't dab too often, I find my oil goes further using my minicron (would that count as dabbing or vaping in this discussion?), and I can rig up a Frankenstein's monster of adapters to connect it just about any of my pieces.
I also hit my minicron dry most of the time, but I always use water for herb vapor.

I've gotta rate it pretty high on my dhgate list, it functions great (no vortex though, but the double barrel has no chance of a vortex either), and its enjoyable to use. As @MGG said, it functions better than the barrel to barrel (pretty sure I'm gonna sell my barrel to barrel - I can't see myself ever using it now I've got the barrel to funnel).

It's a little awkward to pair with a vape - but I find that with any small bong.

We do have some glass blowers on this forum that you could maybe check with. Can you feel the abrasions or are they inside of the glass? If you can feel the abrasions maybe use a rough sponge and carefully work it out?

Just wanted to stop in and let everyone know the D020w is still my daily driver!!! Got customs and recyclers but it still just feels right.

 My D020-W is currently sitting in front of me with the nano pre-heated ready to go!

I still switch up my glass every few weeks, but the -W sees action several times a month!

Good to know. Do you know the username of any, that way I can try PMing one of them real quick.
That's the tricky part about it, it's so fucking hard to tell if it's actually on the glass or inside. I can tell that they're on a certain side, but I can't tell if it's just below the surface. I soaked it in 99ISO and vinegar (in case it was rust), it helped some but not completely. I'd be one thing if I knew it was embedded into the glass, but when I first cleaned it the cloth had a reddish-brown smudge from whatever it is, so some of it was not trapped within the glass. I tried scraping it lightly with a wire brush pipe cleaner, Q-tips, and one of my pointed dab tools to no avail.

Just a quick question for you guys. I consistently see people posting the prices they pay for the pieces on DH Gate but the link that is generally provided is higher than the price for-mentioned. Are any of you negotiating for lower prices or paying the bulk price on single piece orders?

The main reason for this is because once a piece becomes popular prices are raised, and sometimes they are raised for no reason at all!

Also certain items are listed as being on sale for a certain number of days but then will change price before the date listed.

Also if you aren't in the USA then shipping will often be more expensive. As a Canadian I often see people talking about a price on here and then click a link and the shipping makes it 10-15 bucks more.
