@Tweak I am sure that finger vs stopper is a personal preference thing but I would have to say that finger is the winner. It is so effective and also calls for no extra parts.

The best comparison I could make is dome vs domeless. Domes served their purpose for a good while and we all enjoyed them. When domeless came out we might have been hesitant to switch over but once you did I bet you realized that it was an obvious improvement in the simplicity of function. This is exactly the case with the carbed gong. It is the future. It is a single piece accessory that can make any glass on glass water pipe a vape bubbler and works with multiple brands of vapes.

im getting the turbine sidecar version of this TODAY along w my Da Buddha i WON ON FB! Im soo stoked! i CANNOT wait! But i ALMOST picked this badboy at first bro, but i heard its TINY, obv. and it even wobbles a lil, and the last thing i HEARD was the inline perc is higher then it is in the picture... jus fyi.. from what all my buds on here and other r sayin, i think i made the right choice on the vape tho.. i mean i wanted the glass piece for sure, but when i won the vape, the site gave me a choice between 2 different desktop vapes. 1 was the Arizer Extreme Q and the other, which i went w, is the Da Buddha. i read and saw WAAY to many good things about Da Buddha and im all about the BEST functionality, BEST vapor hits, over looks and futuristic stuff like the digital stuff/temp. control which i also heard goes wrong faster. i just felt less to worry about/fix, and i heard it RIPS! Not like i can complain anyways bc i won it but i still want the BEST vape i can get! the extreme q was like 30$ more i wanna say, maybe 20$, but that didnt deter me to much. i read some problems ppl had w the extreme q, even tho i DID find a ot of ppl who love the thing, but prob found twice as many who liked da buddha better. there was even a thread on the EXACT topic, da buddha vs the extreme q, and in that thread, both vapes were said to be great vapes but ones a whip/bag (mediocre vapor hits w both ive read) while da buddha is whip ONLY, which i hear over and over da buddha whip style owns the extreme q, vapor hit wise, high/steezy wise!) REALLY HOPING I MADE THE BEST DECISION! im feeling good about it, the extreme q is awesome looking and all, but it looks and is a lot more technical, which mean more problems down the road, and i saw a pic of how the vapor trvels through the guts and stuff of the extreme q and he showed a pic of a plastic part in it, and it was all burnt up around the edges! :o forget that junk! made me feel a lil better after seein that pic! i like how da buddha is said to match some of the BEST whip vapor hitters there are out there, and how its soo solid and all but soo simple! :mmmm:

I have this rig.

It's small, a tad taller than 4" though...perhaps 5". The inline is halfway up the can, so you have to use a bit more water. You're correct on the photo, it's from another site and not the actual piece...but it's pretty close. Overall it seems sturdy enough, I'm not concerned about the lack of extra support due to the small size.

I promised before, but got caught up with the Kathy recycler...and dropped the ball on the Alina inline :doh: I'll be sure to remedy that ASAP...but stuck at the office for another 6 hours...

Haven't said anything since they arrived, but I really like my D022 and my D020-D. Everything was perfect, only issue was a surface chip on the D022 on the main can where the support is coming out to hold the small perc, doesn't affect performance, but it is a little worrying, gonna push something on that to prevent it from chipping anymore.

so Overall 8/10 would buy from SSS again!

My DO22 arrived last week and it hasn't been used much because the downstem doesn't fit right and wobbles all around the can, I don't think its even air tight. Does anyone know how to fix this? The mouthpeice is also very slanted and not symmetrical which isn't a big deal. It seems like it would be a great peice, but the quality of the one I recieved isn't very good.

Have them send you a new down stem!
In the meantime wrap it with Teflon tape to make a air tight seal.

Easy fix!

I'd contact Sunshinestore and complain - it sounds like you might have a bad downstem joint.....

I would try a few adapters, to make sure it's the downstem and not the female joint on the piece. It would suck to get a 2nd downstem, only to find out it's the joint on the can that's the problem. Hopefully it's just a downstem issue.

Good news, my Kathy recycler I bought three days ago shipped last night with a valid tracking number. The piece is already making its way thru the postal service.

This is a piece I've been using for about a year now.

It has a 16 slit hammer head perc to honeycomb and a side car mouth piece. The can is about an inch taller than the d020. I does have the dreaded male joint but I've been using a cheap box/whip vape female bowl like this

as an adapter. Not a bad option if you live in Australia. It ships from with in the country so no customs issues.

I've also been very tempted by the atomic perc rig but dont trust the photos.

I've requested a function video so I'll just wait to see what happens there.

My GAS just keeps getting the better of me. I'm up to about 8 china pieces now and all still worth less than a single brand name piece

I have that one!
We coined it the TORO knock off or TKO.
It works OK however basic it doesn't get used like a D020 or D022 which are larger.
The male adapter needs a 14mm female to make clearance for the LOTUS.
You just have to modify it to work!

Well I don't think I will be ordering from Clean and Clear Glass again.

I messaged them about the 4 showerhead perc 14mm bubbler to ask about some pictures showing clear and some showing pink. They said both colors were available and I could pick. I chose clear and they sent pink :(

One of the four showerhead percs is pretty bent too. The other three are great, but the bent one stands out like a sore thumb…

The disc base also has an insane amount of bubbles in it and a line that looks like an internal crack.

You also have to use a very low water level to avoid water from getting up into the mouthpiece tube. I knew this before buying it but I don't mind lower water levels every once in a while so no big deal. I know this might be a deal breaker for others though.

One positive note is that the 14mm male to male adapter that came with it is clear and that is the only kind of adapter I don't have so I'm happy about that hahaha

That's a shame. I had high hopes for that piece, :mad:.

That was my biggest fear too, they wouldn't be able to get all 4 showerheads lined up.

Anybody get the atomic perc yet?? I fear it isn't going to look like it does in the image.

@tiukauleh I'm only using the glass adapter and the whip that comes with the extreme q. It was a setup I devised when I was a vapor newb. I wasn't sure if I was going to like it so I went for the cheapest possible option. I use a bit of organic cotton in the bulb part of the adapter as a filter. Keeps the rig cleaner and collects a nice bit of reclaim to vape later.

@ataxian after seeing you recommend the D022 time and time again for use with the solo I eventually order one about a week ago. It may even be in my hands tomorrow! I'm already certain I will like the larger volume over the D020 size.

I have the black kathy TKO and I love it. Solid little unit!

@exit that is a lot of water. Are you trying to make the turbine work as a second perc?

Water level is all personal preference but I think that this piece and most honeycomb work best with the water at disc level. Maybe a tad higher. Also the turbine is more of a splash guard than a perc. With the water level I use the bubbles from the honeycomb just barely touch the turbine while I am hitting it with my nano. Then I give it a powerful clear to activate the turbine action. It creates quite a cool cyclone and I never ever suck up water. The turbine slits are angled so the water spins away from the mouthpiece. Brilliant

GB-228 and D020-W-2 are both real winners.

The SOLO will pair with the D022 however the HI will make a even better pairing.
The D020 I add a caisen and a ash catcher to increase the volume.
I have larger volume water pipes that would be great for burning bowls.
I also have some smaller ones I used once and put away never to use again.
The bubbler size and slightly larger water pieces with minimum diffusion work best for me.
I only vaporize.
If I was smoking a large piece might be better?
The flavor of burning is way too gross.
Vaporizing taste amazing!
The reason I like the D022 the size is perfect for me!
We are all different so I hope you like it?
You should have your HI by now?
Log vaporizers pair well with water tools!
I bought a NANO for my log vaporizer.
