Cheap High Quality Bubbler

I am back in the hunt for another recycler...

TAG support was awesome, they threw me a discount and I got a replacement 8" recycler from them to replace the one I broke, but unfortunately their design has changed since I bought my first one and I am not favoring the changes. Most notably, they went from a traditional inline perc, and almost turned it into a half-matrix... each inline slit is now in three smaller sections. This minor change added unwanted restriction and I am just not into it. Additionally, unlike my first TAG, this one fires like shit with only the front and back section of the perc actually firing when taking a draw.

I am overall disappointed and back shopping again. What is everyone's favorite recycler? Any suggestions for minimal diffusion, 8-12" would be most appreciated.

I picked up this little guy at a local shop today, who knows when the rattle can I ordered on DHGate will every show up. Not bad at $30, and all three slits in the perc fire nice and evenly. I did my first ever honest-to-goodness butane torched dab in it! Wow, delicious. Followed by a sesh with the Fury Edge. Also delicious.

It cools much better than the Grav Pocket Bubbler I’ve been using since I broke my old bong. It didn’t have a name or anything in it, so I figured it was a DHGate product, and sure enough here it is. Actually cheaper from the local shop if buying just one.

RattleCan ordered July 15th, landed in USPS distribution center in USA, should have it by next week. A little over two weeks total time, the DH site still shows as October, a bit conservative, guess they don’t want people complaining if their estimate is wrong.

Received it today! 2 weeks total from China to my door, that’s a RECORD for anything I’ve ever ordered from China. Came in small box, lots of bubble wrap, and INTACT, did a PBW rinse, added distilled water, did quick empty pull, now I know why it’s called RATTLECAN!

I plan to use this or something like it as a mini FC-UFO that would fit into my little vape station, using a whip. 18mm female would actually be ideal if anything like that is out there!

If anyone has a bit of time and interest, here’s my dilemma.

The 1st link is a DHGate rig I’m interested in, I’ve found a bunch of these types of recyclers on various websites going for between $150-$300. Some look exactly the same as this DHL one. In addition I wanted to try a rig with a SOL = “Seed Of Life” perc. This one SUPPOSEDLY combines the rig style and lists a SOL perc.
BUT: In looking at the photos, the perc does NOT look like a SOL perc?

This 2nd link below from DHGate is a SAML rig that looks identical to the 1st one (link at top), BUT, no claim of a SOL perc, and in the rig photos on this page, looks just like the perc in the 1st one.

Any opinions on the look of the perc in the 1st rig? Doesn’t look like any of the Seed Of Life percs I’ve seen in only photos.
This is a photo (below)of from my understanding is a “ Seed Of Life” perc. SUPPOSEDLY from online reading, this perc is a sought after type, I’ve never owned or tried one, but it seems interesting from mostly rave reports, but they don’t seem very common, I believe I read one reason is it’s harder to make and cut that SOL pattern, so even a clone/copy might not be the same?

Both of those would be showerheads and a FOL [flower of life fires upward while SOL fires out the sides, but same hole pattern] in your last post. There are not many SOL/FOL percs on DHGate now that CCG has closed up shop there. I have a few FOL pieces from CCG, including one like your last post, but I would not buy them at current prices. CCG is now selling glass under the name calibear - but at rates quite a bit higher than DHGate and w/o mediation.

I have that klein from Stephen (SAML) with blue accents (second pic) and it's a great value with solid function which I would recommend.

I just received my rattlecan bubbler via DHGate. It took between two weeks-20 days.

Can anyone advise on a (chinese) 18mm bubbler for vaping flowers? Can I get something better than the D020? The rattlecan works fine for flower and tastes great but as it's 14mm it delivers weaker hits than the D020..

The Rattlecan comes both ways depending on your vendor. My Rattlecan from Yingmin5 is 18mm. I also really like the FC-187 and the D022. I also like the FC-UFO quite a bit, but see it as more a desktop piece than a hand held one due to it's weight and size. The links in my spoiler are live

You did well to find a 14mm version, the only 14mm version I could find was a nasty looking real cheap male 14mm or the Popular glass version with the same 14mm male connector, how about a link to the one you got @Haze Mister.

I would have preferred a 14mm, but my SAML Rattlecan is 18mm, I just keep a glass adapter in it.

I only have the one 14mm glass piece, a recycler (that I use a 14 to 18mm drop down on)...18mm rules here!
I have never seen a RC with a 14mm female joint like @Haze Mister just got.

because I prefer less tubing, simple design and a more direct path. I wish they would make an 18mm female version like that, with the connector on the main body and not on the side. Didn't notice the male version is 14mm when I ordered I might sell it as I have switched to nectar collectors for dabs.

I really like the looks of these babies

but again no 18mm.
I basically want a backup 18mm bubbler in case I break my d020, and it could be interesting to have somthing different (for vaping flowers with the e-nano) but it seems the 14mm bubblers just don't have the same kick when it comes to herb.

Sadly, there is an element of a crap shoot with DHGate. This is why TAG and similar can be an attractive option - they maybe china glass and a bit more expensive but the quality control is more on point. Tho my Rattlecan is off centre and a bit wonky, the joints dont look as mangled as yours is. If you can focus on the function, not the looks, and remember the price... might help Tho I think mine was more like $20 - $30, so the extra cost is making this not quite as forgivable now.

I have about 35 pieces from DHGate (8 from SAML) - this kind of thing is prevalent. The vendors are not interested in complaints about esthetics - if it's not leaking water or broken, it's considered acceptable. Steven (and Jane) are not so keen to replace something that's not broken. The klein I bought from him showed up broken - Jane sent me a replacement which was the wrong piece and we argued about for some time before I ended up buying at 50% off and then finally a replacement klein was shipped out and arrived in one piece.
I've ceased shopping for import glass and started watching the US glass market for deals. I'm paying 3-4x what a DHGate piece costs, but the joints are straight and round and I can get colors that are simply not available in the import market. As @EmDeemo says, TAG can be a valid option - but I find their selection to be severly lacking since they were shutdown and moved to CO last year.

Absolutely agree, I know people don't want to hear "spend more money" but I'm done with import glass and 'the gate. Honestly some of the DH Glass has gotten so expensive you can get real American work for not much more. Also anecdotally I find my American glass can at least take a bump, my import rig broke the other day cause it got knocked over on a mood mat.... and it broke it the exact same spot as the one before it, popped right off at the maria on the neck. My heady rig has legit fallen over like 100 times and still chugging along.
