I use 6x drops of CE (Nature's Answer) and a 1/4 teaspoon of citric acid to about 125ml of water but it looks a bit weak, how many drops of CE do you use @cybrguy ?

The amount of water makes precision less necessary and I have gotten a little lazy on counting drops. I use about an inch in the dropper and just shoot it in. I will count the drops tonight if I remember, but 6 or 8 sounds about right. I have tried using citrus acid with the drops, but since I change the water every day I don't find it necessary. I DO love the smell while hot water rinsing...

I placed two orders on April 11, received the first on May 26 and the second yesterday, June 26. I have not received my order from May 9 yet. Tracking says it was in Chicago on June 16 but no updates since then.

I received my last order today. I ordered it May 1 and it shipped May 9. It was scanned by USPS in Chicago on June 16 and received today, July 14.
So, free shipping from China during a pandemic, 2 1/2 months from order to delivery. I don't think that's too bad.

I just cleaned the piece and used 9 drops to get the color I was looking for. That's probably an average with this piece. Most of my water pieces use a lot less water, so a lot less CE. I've never experimented with how little I could use and still get the stacking and glass protection. That might be a fun project.

I just cleaned the piece and used 9 drops to get the color I was looking for. That's probably an average with this piece. Most of my water pieces use a lot less water, so a lot less CE. I've never experimented with how little I could use and still get the stacking and glass protection. That might be a fun project.

Maybe I should get some citric acid to add.

I've been using 15 drops of CE. The extract I have is Botanic Choice. It's 5:1
The 15 gives me a light pink color:

@LesPlenty What i mostly dont dig about the gravity mode ,is that you inhale from the side where the bowl is. Maybe one can eat some herb bits if he doesnt keep squicky clean and uses tiny mesh .

Ordered the exact same one you posted, then of course had to order a 18mm male to 14mm female adapter. Tackle box full of glass adapters, but NEVER have the one I need....

Is the water level supposed to be over the internal tube, I drew a line, is that about right?

That looks just about perfect @RustyOldNail, I have anywhere from level with the top of the 45 degrees cut to your drawn line or even just above, the higher the water the higher the diffusion and restriction...and cooling.

Seems like it would be a hell if a lot easier if he had the right size bottle brushes.

Without even watching more than several seconds I'll agree. Plus PBW, then the brushes would be optional.

I've cleaned enough filthy bongs over the years to smell that vid. PBW at least leaves your hands and sink fresh, clean and scent-free after, and the piece spotless in less time than that vid goes for!

Edit: in Australia we call that combustion filth 'death'. Some people dry it out and smoke death. Sick, sad world.

Curious what the “ball”

I think assists with the percolation by breaking up the vapor stream into bubbles and is the source of the rattle, I have one example that the ball sticks in the top position occasionally and the action changes a bit and it also quietens down a lot.

The ball gets sucked in and pushed out of the flow as you draw, so as it rattles back and forth it causes the flow to stutter out of the top of the u bend.

I also have a version of that diffusion pump bong, it's my favorite dab rig. The little ball rattles and water spouts up, I usually fill water to about where the top of the spout exit. Got it from DHgate for 60$ shipped, took a month.

I saw this at Verdampftnochmal EU it might be new. It's pretty much what I had in mind before to take apart for cleaning. But I've only seen that in narrow flask or beaker shape so far.
A bonus here is you can use either port for in or out. So draw from the top or the side.
It says it's exclusive to, and designed by them, made by EHLE Germany and you can choose plain or diffused downstem, straight or bent mouthpiece, and all parts are available seperately including a whip adapter and just the actual glass body itself.
The mouthpiece is 14mm so it uses an adapter for the 18mm holes, and the stem takes 14mm inside it.
