As low as the angle on that mouthpiece is, I'd be worried about blowback.

No issue at all as the perc outlet is lower than the where the neck meets the body (water level is at or just above the 45 cut stem), also the perc fires behind the down stem from the bowl

I hand hold that piece, and I naturally rock it forward so that is no issue at all. If I am holding it absently I have rocked it back and lost a little water, but that wasn't when I was hitting it. I suppose Steven's version with the higher mouthpiece stem would make that less likely. All I can say is if I broke this piece I would immediately replace it. It is a high flavor very comfortable piece to use with several of my most used vapes.
The only downside to it is how much water it loads which makes me go through CE faster. But I think it's worth it.

I did not find blowback an issue with the rattlecans and the FP, and altho they hold a lot of water, the vapour travels thru a small amount of water with a minimal perc.

The amount of water makes precision less necessary and I have gotten a little lazy on counting drops. I use about an inch in the dropper and just shoot it in. I will count the drops tonight if I remember, but 6 or 8 sounds about right. I have tried using citrus acid with the drops, but since I change the water every day I don't find it necessary. I DO love the smell while hot water rinsing...

I placed two orders on April 11, received the first on May 26 and the second yesterday, June 26. I have not received my order from May 9 yet. Tracking says it was in Chicago on June 16 but no updates since then.

I received my last order today. I ordered it May 1 and it shipped May 9. It was scanned by USPS in Chicago on June 16 and received today, July 14.
So, free shipping from China during a pandemic, 2 1/2 months from order to delivery. I don't think that's too bad.

I just cleaned the piece and used 9 drops to get the color I was looking for. That's probably an average with this piece. Most of my water pieces use a lot less water, so a lot less CE. Maybe I should get some citric acid to add.

I've been using 15 drops of CE. The extract I have is Botanic Choice. It's 5:1
The 15 gives me a light pink color:

@LesPlenty What i mostly dont dig about the gravity mode ,is that you inhale from the side where the bowl is. Maybe one can eat some herb bits if he doesnt keep squicky clean and uses tiny mesh .

Ordered the exact same one you posted, then of course had to order a 18mm male to 14mm female adapter. Tackle box full of glass adapters, but NEVER have the one I need....

Is the water level supposed to be over the internal tube, I drew a line, is that about right?

That looks just about perfect @RustyOldNail, I have anywhere from level with the top of the 45 degrees cut to your drawn line or even just above, the higher the water the higher the diffusion and restriction...and cooling.
