So how true is it that the Wierdeer caps cause, or can cause the oil to spill over the side of the insert?
Is it easy to prevent the spilling without having to limit the angle too much?

I honestly don't understand where these complaints are coming from. I use mine daily and there is not a single trace of residue in the titanium bucket, it all stays contained in the dish. Some of the posts here make me think I was either lucky or that his prodo is just sloppier than his customs. It also could be that I just don't take massive dabs.

The discussion on this board suggested to me that I should purchase a Weirdeer glass custom carb cap for the 30mm banger, but this has seemingly turned out to be a big mistake. I sent David the $75 for the carb cap and promptly never heard back from him, despite several emails asking for an ETA on the product's arrival. This coming Monday will make it three weeks since I will have sent him the dough, and two weeks for me to stare at a nearly complete set of awesome stuff! If I do not hear from him in another week, and still do not have product in my hand, I will be filling a formal dispute through PayPal. Buyers beware of Weirdeer Glass: You Have Been Warned.

Weirdeer had also been dragging his ass quite a bit on my commission, after having taken my cash up front. Chances are that he didn't have any prodo caps ready to ship, meaning he's probably taking his sweet ass time to make more. He also doesn't seem to check his email as often as Instagram, so that may be a better option (my phone's too old for "apps" so I had to deal with email :rolleyes:).

I wanted to get one initially, but decide not to mostly because a few people mentioned the spilling over the side of insert issue. That's never been a problem with my Terp Trunk or any other cap I have for the 30mm.

I had ordered a blue 16mm w\sic not too long ago and also ended up with a matching Tsunami cap and dabber! Received it in just under 3 weeks. The cap works great on both, but I really love it on my 30mm. It doesn't get in around the edge of the dish quite like my Terp Trunk does, but it really gets a large section of the center very well. I've been using it about as much as my TT.
I haven't tried the Wierdeer cap but I find the new Hurricane cap on the 30mm functions much the same way. Since switching from the Storm Cell I'm getting more flavour from my dabs and much less pooling. Haven't had any splashing above the insert with it either.

Wierdeer told me last night his wet saw has been down, he was sent the wrong replacement parts and the situation has been a “nightmare “.

If this happened, then I sincerely hope that everything gets worked out. It would explain the long wait times for the carb cap.

I sent David my best wishes. Lets hope that he gets everything worked out in a timely manner - not for our own needs, but because working through stuff like this on Thanksgiving weekend must be miserable. Poor fellow.

If you're saying CCA did super limited time black friday promo, which I bet they did, then FUCK THEM, fix your normal business first before getting more fish on the hook

Ok due to shit talking and whinny little children I will no longer be offering these liger caps to the public...I was approached by this crowd here at fc.com to make these... thought I was being nice and fitting them in between my really busy quartz work... not anymore you ungraeatful shit heads I have three caps to finish then you children can find someone else to badger and make stuff for you

Yup they sure can and will have to..I have no patience for whinny folks. Was just trying to make people happy by making these.. thanx to all the folks who have been patient.... the $ is just not worth dealing with a bunch of pre teens with their mommy’s credit card.. I reached out to cca710 to Cary these on website and stock them so I don’t have to deal with individual orders... but that never happened.... no more individual liger orders.

When they have zero communication for weeks, then all the sudden fill a few orders just in time for a black friday deal......absolutely....... i do feel thats a betrayal to any customers with outstanding orders beyond expected lead times, to the customers with outstanding service issues, to the customers with repeated false communications if any communication of any kind whatso from CCA. Stop thinking I'm whining for my own sake or something, Ive got my gear already so i don't care what promos or sales they throw out but it pisses me off when they get kudos for doing a decent sale and more orders to limp along providing mediocre service, regardless of product quality, which as recent posts point out is STILL all over the place, despite my personal great experience with recent equipment orders from them. Id trade never getting a discount from them forever, if they'd just get their shit together and consistently deliver a consistent product.

Those are just different issues. I just don't see what one thing has to do with the other. CCA should be able to fulfill orders better, but what does that have to do with people sometimes being able to get a better price? It doesn't make any sense for you to be mad about the sale. It makes sense for you to be irritated about their service. I just don't get the connection.

it just seems to me that adding another influx of orders with a sale would add to the backlog that they already have. Seems it would be better to fix the system that is failing under the current workload prior to piling on more

When the backlog is so excessive and communication so poor, yes. If things were shipping as advertised, not at all.

Totally this, they are 100% connected, if you CAN NOT maintain NORMAL business flow, do NOT extend yourself even farther to potentially piss those new people off but much much more importantly, to not piss off the people who's money you already have and have failed, repeatedly to deliver. My saltiness is from constant over promising and under delivering, it always has been.

I have just been told that the liger v4 will be in the flat coil versions only just a heads up for others wanting to get a v4..does anyone have any info on it. As I am highly considering buying a v3 right now but not sure if I should wait for the v4 or if it will be a new dish that can be purchased or if it' going to be a whole new liger....

Not delivering on promises to people who have paid is the issue, I agree. But unless they are going to stop advertising entirely while those promises are outstanding they are always going to have a continuing influx of orders. I don't understand having a spike in your anger about a sale or coupon giveaway. I could see making a pretty good argument for being credited for any sales (like that 25% off, for instance) that happen while you are waiting longer than advertised, however. It's an entirely moot, academic discussion, though. You feel how you feel. It doesn't really have to make sense to me. I hope no one feels like I was arguing against them.

I think the anger is around marketing actions taken that will substantiallly increase workload. The shared concern of the group (appears to be); that due to the low bandwidth of the business, any activities other than manufacturing and shipping existing orders takes the only employee away (and thus the focus) from manufacturing and shipping existing orders. There doesn’t seem to be any capacity for parallel operation because it’s just the one guy.

I don’t even have an order in right now but have multiple times in the past and understand the feelings.

I know this is for the V3's but I figure I'd share my Ligers. I own 3 Liger V2's 2 blue w/ updated Quartz dishes (still have original reverseable Quartz dish) and a gold color w/ SIC dish. Also 3 different types of Hurricane caps. As like many of you I had to wait in order to get my items (4 weeks was the longest wait period). Apart from that function is stellar and Josh always hooked me up for waiting patiently (gave me a nice Quartz dish for free). I get the fustration people are having with communication breaks and wait times but you all know he's not doing this on purpose. Josh is a perfectionist and if it doesn't meet his specs he'll have them re-machine everything. Here's a couple of pics of my Ligers & H caps...
