A little mod I did to my knocker so I’m not banging metal on metal and glass on metal. I also abandoned my metal brush. I just didn’t use it and it freed up some space. I prefer the S&B brush. @Zangano Cruel thanks for the suggestion. View attachment 1538

That looks even better than I pictured it on my mind!!! That bouncy feeling, while tapping over the cork, is kind of relaxing too, instead of the hard metal on metal knocking imho.

I've been looking for the weedeaters essential bundle and can't find it anywhere. Anything Flowerpot really. I am looking for the easiest to use w/ biggest rip with flower only. Am I am the right track with that bundle? Are these super hard to come by?

You are definitely on the right track with that bundle. The Weedeater is a killer flower vape with a hit like a atomic bomb, you will not be disappointed and the bundle has everything you need if you fine with the titanium bowl, if you want glass you'll have to buy it additionally or put together your own bundle but it doesn't look like new vape or vgoodiez has everything to do so. Stock comes in and goes out fairly regularly so either start checking daily or message them for a eta on new stock to start checking, they are very responsive. And FYI the Weedeater is plenty capable of using concentrate put on top of the bowl if you ever change your mind

I recently went on the NV website and was shocked to find the SH discontinued. I've always enjoyed mine more than my VRod!

Didn't NewVape say that the weedeater would NOT be replacing the SH? Oh well!

That someone was me, and before me, there were others that did that too, some people don’t like recognition, or just simply let “influencers steal their credits”, I’m not the one letting “influencers reviewers” get away with their “huge egos” ☹☹☹ and those aren’t “DDavemod basket screens”.

Big problem is, 3rd party resellers, like to name accessories under their egotistical own names.
DDave is one of the lesser guilty in that matter, because he’s a really small business, but for example, we have several more here in the “united states” that capitalize on people’s ignorance, and lack of reading and acceptance of others countries craftsmanship, from anything crapola word, that “fake print” saying “made in usa”instead. Sorry for the rant.

It’s just I’ll be so sad if this thread turns into an ass licking contest, as the DynaVap thread, where you have 10 people only posting and reposting what is convenient for their 3rd parties resellers and manufacturers. Enjoy microdosing with those EQ baskets, keep searching at Amazon, there’re even cheaper amounts, I’ve found 15pcs for $6.99 too.
If you own a 14mm Ti bowl post too, EQ screen baskets wouldn’t fit.
You’ll need VapeXhale EVO ELB caps, that they’re extremely expensive, since they’re proprietary to that desktop vape only, at 4x ELBs for $20 plus shipping ☹☹☹
In that case, it’s cheaper to buy an 18mm Ti bowl post from NV, and a 18 to 14 glass reducer if you own just a 14mm rig. Makes sense?? You’ll have both Ti posts after, 14 &18, ready for all situations.

You can tell the differences in the EQ baskets, and the ELB caps, the inside of the baskets rims in ELB caps are about 1mm recessed, so it can cap an ELB.

The OEM EQ screen for the 18mm joint is bigger than the ones that come with the 18mm DDAVE kit, if the stuff I have is any indication. Both fit the shovelhead just fine. If I go back to the EQ, I will probably buy some of the type that Cruel linked since mine all have at least one tiny hole in in them. I haven't tried, but I would guess the screens you get with the 14mm DDave kit would do the job if you are using a 14mm post. Took a look and couldn't find them on the site, bummer.

I managed to accidentally join the cult of VROD as I have branded myself. Feel pretty lucky I just brushed my forearm against the head while it was at 690 degrees instead of set my hand on it or something though. It seriously went from something looks like a rash to the same shape, just in darker skin tone. The next thing I did was put the head far enough away that it was at the end of my reach. Shortly after that, I put it a little closer since that didn't seem all that much safer.

I had started to put the head directly to my side just far enough away that I wouldn't touch it unless I moved my arms too much. Well folks, I moved my arms too much. I was trying to scrape some of the goodies out of my grinder and to do this more effectively, I decided to make my arm into a chicken wing that extended directly to my side. As I was scraping, I turned my body a little and suddenly felt the (well meaning I am sure) kiss of a hot...

I was DMed on IG by a manufacture/factory in China asking me if I would be interested in some knock off products they were going to begin manufacturing. Lots of DynaVap fakes and things I’ve seen before but I have never seen a Chinese business knocking off NV products other than the glass bowl. They even ripped off the stand and it doesn't look like the holes have any threads? Maybe just a friction fit, could easily see that post lifting up and falling over leaving you with two options 1 trying to pick it up and burning yourself 2 leaving it to make a big burn on your table while you go looking for a oven mit. Totally off topic, I apologise in advance, but I recently swore off Behringer products for this exact reason. On the one hand, they are bringing beloved synths to people without the money to buy expensive synths. On the other hand, Behringer are cloning hardware by other manufacturers and own a factory in China so they can churn out product full tilt...

I’m pretty sure he won’t be contacting me again. I feel bad bringing the negativity to this thread but felt it was relevant and important to share.

So...on another note... it looks like NV is going to switch their controller and coil over to a XLR connection. NewVape Single Enail Controller with Optional XLR Coil. At the moment it appears they will also sell the NV legacy coil. I wonder if this is NV phasing out the propriety controller and coil or will they truly continue to offer the legacy coil for customers invested in the legacy controller.

Yes, I have long thought they should do this....but I had thought they were doing this for some time...or just with the Aubers???

I think this will open up their market some.
