Right, but i switched the heater switch off and just let it cool naturally and when I could hold the enail side in my hand comfortably it was reading mid 100's on the unit. Something's def. off.
Yessir Done and did. =) They sent me a handy little graphic that would be awesome if they all came with it! Seems i'm just impatient and not giving it enough heat-soak time initially. All is well now. =) Thanks!
I fashioned up a little bowl that's like the one in the video but just crudely formed. I'm going to order some baskets soon, myself. NV should look into offering some similar, that's for sure. I've got a nug of some special stuff a coworker gave me and I got a nice fat cloud off .02. =)
What graphic was this?
something is not right with the controller or nail for sure. Not sure if doing something wrong or not. I get acceptable clouds at 700 when a decent amount is loaded, but kinda wispy for microloads. Gets slightly better with lollicap but still nothing like what I'm seeing in some people's videos. Cranking up to 800 kinda fixes that but seems like I shouldn't need to go that high. I'm not drawing that fast either, and concentrates seem to work beautifully.
Tried tightening the coil a bit too and doesn't seem to make a difference. It fits pretty snugly. (some resistance to pull it on or off)
twaxvapor = 10% off code
Lollicap seems like it'd be necessary for fully extracting small loads, and coil cover seems to make the actual temp of the coil closer to what the enail readout is.
Showerhead is optimized for herbs, so that's what I would go for if you intend to mostly use the FP for herbs.
Looks like mine is slated to arrive tomorrow, so take everything I just said with a grain of salt... but I'll certainly be back to report some, after I get some testing in.
I'm with you on a full insert. I am unsure if the design would have your concentrate touch the titanium but i know many into concentrate use only would not like that if it did. Including myself .I don't know about anyone one else here but I'd prefer a full insert. Not a washer.
Thoughts: because will not dabbed errl run under and to the edges of said washer. I think Yes. Unless somehow melting and gravity have changed.
So a person would still be dabbing off of titanium and whatever compound the washer was too, simultaneously. Versus a complete self contained insert like the current versions for the other FP models.
I mean the point here for everyone in the first place is wanting the purest experince, am I right?! That's not what you'll be getting with the washers. But what do I really know.
Hopefully no feathers were ruffled in the making of this post. I come in peace and friendship.
Looks like a nice wake and bake session , Enjoy , loving all these pics - tyDown to my last 2 grams here. Wonder how long this will stretch it out.
One little crumble at a time.
Holy shit i've never felt so high off of so little. Me and the wife just had 3 of these. between the 2 of us. Probably would have been good after the 2nd tbh I still got shit to do this morning =) That's really just enough to cover the bottomof the little basket I made.
with it reading 400 my IR gun fluxuates from 252 - 255f
Your problem most likely is with your Enail or Coil , as the Fp is pretty dumb proof . The only problem id see happening is if someone bought a 16mm head/nut and tried to put a 20mm coil on it which i do not think is your case at all. Resistance like you stated is what you want so you are perfect in that department. Also take into account that different strains vape differently , dryness , quality all play a factor. Most likely though it is the Enail or Coil , Coils can go bad and produce poor results or just not work at all , i have had this happen 1st hand , 2nd enails have many settings and is easy for one to come not tuned properly or even possibly to hit the wrong buttons and throw off settings. So 1st step , check with the manufacture of your enail the proper settings and test another coil as well. You'd be perfect with the NewVape Enail setup as the fitment is spot on but i understand many already own there own enail to begin with and want to stick with what they have to save some money. 800F is pretty high so you are correct in that you should not be having to go that high , i sometimes use that temp to clean my nail. Not sure if doing something wrong or not. Sounds like what I was experiencing. Set it to 800, wait 10 minutes and then adjust down to what you want to took care of it for me. That nail assembly needs a few minutes for a good heat soak.
Also get a screen and bend it like in my picture a few posts up in the thread. Works like a charm then.

I'll try that, but don't get why that would fix it unless it's being used while the Ti is still hotter than the coil. Setting it to 700 and waiting 10+ mins didn't seem to fix it, maybe this will.
Thanks.
Do you have a way to measure the temp at the nail?
https://www.newvape.com/pub/media/s...tachment/file/f/l/flower_pot_instructions.pdf
They sent me that and followed it and haven't had a problem since. Though I might add I did what I believe to be a reset on my box, 'autotune' or whatever they call it, by setting it to 400 and holding the sideways arrow about 10 seconds. I did that first then set it to 800 and let the coil get good and red for a while. I may get a thermocoupler soon to do further more detailed testing, but the center post measured mid 500s and the SiC dish mesured a little over 530 with my IR gun. They specified 525f is normal, I do believe.
And then adjust from there the temperature you want.
800F is pretty hot , you will usually get some coil glow at that temp but once it is preheated it should not glow anymore.Your coil was glowing red at 800? That doesnt sound right to me?
