@NewVape710 & @newvape918, any word on when we can expect to see the insulated handle and shortened dab tools on the site?
My opinion is based on the input from @NewVape710 . If I didn't have my SH right now, and were looking to buy between the SH and WE, I'd still personally go with the SH for my usage. I run my SH at 737, I'm not looking to keep my WE at 837 for comparable performance.
So, I run my WE at 585. After reading your post, I bumped it up to 700 just to see. Burned the shit out of my weed on the first draw. I'm a little mystified at how 700+ degrees doesn't combust for you? Maybe smaller bowls with faster draws?
It also matters what kind of perc you have. The new vape glass that came with my VRod had a perc that was smooth as silk without needing a herd draw (not sure what it was) and I ran it at 650 easily but the glass piece that I already had just had a down stem with a slit so it chugged (glug, glug, gulf, glug)and requires 680 to get same performance for me...in my continuing experiments with all three heads there are a number of salient points...part of the equation is what piece (glass) you're using, whether it's 14 or 18.. and size of tank , said piece holds..all three fluctuate their temps depending on piece I use..having a bang.. experimenting..hope this adds some clarity.
Perhaps for Edwyn’s desired result he needs to raise temps 100 degrees when shifting from SH to WE, at 747 I did not have to do that. That said I am one person, but I am pretty certain the WE would have no issue with a group. The PID is very quick to recover any temp drop resulting from a draw. So, I run my WE at 585. @newvape918 Glad to help! I have no problem figuring out the site and what to buy, but new people coming in who are on a budget that only allows for a minimal setup are often confused about what they absolutely have to get for a working setup, what’s nice to have, and what’s not necessary for most people.
I think @invertedisdead is right though; it might be best to focus people on the builder, and make sure they can understand just from that page what’s critical and what’s not.
Some color coding and/or more clearly delineated sections might help. For example, I see the functionality is there to keep you from buying without adding a post, but it’s a little confusing.
There is a small * next to that option and if you try to hit Add to Cart without checking an option there it does give a small red message saying it’s required (up by the post options with no indication near the button you’re looking at), but it could be made much more clear before and after trying to hit the Add to Cart button that this is the one required selection.
Those pages are almost there, they just need a little more work on the visual side!
Should we make a blog post with accompanying timeline photos?
Chart is here http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/newvape-flowerpot-twax-vaporizer.23162/page-552#post-1358245I also have an affinity for the builder. But let me give this some more thought. If it wasnt for ALL the variables.
For some reason hat comes to mind right now for decision making as far as FP is concerned Is the "yes/no" chart someone made on this forum. I thought it was super clever. Perhaps I can borrow a little insight from that chart. Does anyone remember where it is?
Thank you for posting...kind of like the guys at Vapefiend....bought a few small things from them over time and the transactions have all been quite satisfactory.
No sir, I am right-handed.. it’s just heavy on the left as I rushed this out.
@YaMon @newvape918 I like the chart a lot, very helpful! My only thought is I respectfully suggest that the decision between the SH & VRod is more about the dabbing surface than terp pearls.

So imo tbh, the first thing a new NV customer (that does concentrates) in 2019 needs to know is VRod is a definite improvement on flavour over the SH’s Ti trough.
...so I've been using three pearls in my showerhead using the shower cap (diagonal air hole) and I feel I can kill a bowl quicker in one hit... Pretty sure I got the idea from someone who posted earlier...
I bought a bunch of SiC balls, due in the mail today!
With the quartz balls, I think I hit my limit at 4. With the Vrod at 700 on my nv controller, I am not burning my concentrates (there's still a small film to qtip, nothing roasted on the sic bowl) but I'm getting a huge, flavorful and fast first hit! Then a couple smaller, wispy clean-up hits. But that first hit is so intense...I'm stopping at 4 balls. So it's different from a big hot/burned hit.
So I plan on trying 2 SiC balls with 2 Quartz balls at a time later when I get home. I feel like the quartz adds a little something extra to the flavor profile with the SiC bowl.
At this 700, I'm either capping 1 to 2 huge hits on flower (on 18mm rigs), or multiple non / semi-capped hits on 14 mm rigs.
your description of concentrate use is the same performance I feel I'm getting at 580f! I wonder if your dabs are that much larger than mine, or some other difference accounts for this. Interesting.
