I was still holding out hope to be able to get the polished SS version in whatever size with fine plate at some point, or even medium plate maybe, BCG had told me they would send me one free of charge over a year ago since I bought so many aluminum seconds at the time and was chatting with them on Instagram... Well following up there, I don't know if someone else is running it, but they've totally ignored me... I also tried emailing, was just trying to get clarity, because the last time I spoke to them they assured me I was still getting one, but I knew they had all those pre-orders to fulfill... Tried reaching out specifically because I heard the polished was not going to be made anymore, and wanted to be sure that was the one I could get, wondering if I would be better off trying to order it instead? They never replied to anything so I guess they don't care lol Oh well I don't really need it I suppose anyway

yes same, did wait for one whole year and they still dont offer the polished version.. i wonder why they dont delete this option from the website?

I just impulsively purchased a large BCG with medium plate after looking elsewhere at new grinders for months and never finding one that I'm completely happy with so I've carried on using a 6 year old grinder that does need replacing.

The size looks just right so I'm really hoping this BCG is as good as the reviews and comments make out as I really need a good new grinder.

BCG grinders are pretty much universally loved so you're not taking much of a chance. Occasionally someone will suggest they like their OMD or some other great grinder better for some reason (like the grip), but the vast majority have no complaints. Were it not for the cost, I would likely get a SS BCG grinder rather than leave the brand if I thought I needed an upgrade.
