Brilliant Cut Grinder

Do you know how often the seconds restock? I'm hoping to snag a "seconds" SS version!
I don't. Haven't seen many SS 2nd's, either.

Seemed to me that when I got mine almost exactly a year ago, there was more to choose from, in that area. Nowadays, when I look at the seconds, I see a few individual plates, but not many complete grinders at all. So you just have to keep your eyes peeled, get on their mailing list, etc.

JMO, but if you really want the SS... I'd order one the next 15% off sale they announce. You might wait a 'few' weeks to get it (and not by xmas, I'll guess), but it'll be what you want, at lowest entry price that I know of, anyway.

One last thing... me not seeing many complete 'seconds' offered, tells me that they may have worked out the last kinks, and '2nd quality' tops / bottoms might not be available much at all. Just a guess on my part; not trying to shill for them. (and, yes, I wrote this while in orbit, on my phone. You're welcome... lmao

Thanks for the reply. Ya I agree, I think I'll wait for the upcoming sale, even 15% off is worth it for brand new. I think it'll pay off in the long run vs SS competitors even if they're slightly cheaper.

I keep seeing discussion of the long wait times, so I'm wondering if theres a major difference between spending on priority vs regular parcel? I'm from Canada as well so it might be worth saving money and getting the "slower" option for me.

The fun part since acquiring SS I bought small nugs just to use it more often and have always fresher.

After the long wait for the grinder to ship, spending extra on “faster” delivery doesn’t seem like a difference maker. It’ll get to you in due time, and well worth the wait. Patience, Grasshopper…patience. Trust me, I’ve done this three times and shipped to the US. You kind of forget all about it and one day you walk to the end of the driveway to get the mail, and bam, new grinder to sit and play with for hours on end. And then they start multiplying.

That's what I was thinking too, I'll get the cheapest shipping and it will be a nice surprise once it arrives. I noticed I just missed the 15% off fall sale. I'm assuming Black Friday will also be 15%. Has it ever been more?

Lochos,

I've not seen more, but I've only been 'back in the life' for a year now. :leaf:

Since you're within Canada... it ships from BC, so will stay within Canada Post. You probably know them as well as we do USPS, over here.

I’ve never seen it for more than that. I’ve seen them dump a lot of aluminum seconds on the site at once a few times, but I haven’t been keeping up as much lately as I’m just waiting to jump in on a matte stainless at some point soon.

I was still holding out hope to be able to get the polished SS version in whatever size with fine plate at some point, or even medium plate maybe, BCG had told me they would send me one free of charge over a year ago since I bought so many aluminum seconds at the time and was chatting with them on Instagram... Well following up there, I don't know if someone else is running it, but they've totally ignored me... I also tried emailing, was just trying to get clarity, because the last time I spoke to them they assured me I was still getting one, but I knew they had all those pre-orders to fulfill... Tried reaching out specifically because I heard the polished was not going to be made anymore, and wanted to be sure that was the one I could get, wondering if I would be better off trying to order it instead? They never replied to anything so I guess they don't care lol Oh well I don't really need it I suppose anyway

Doesn't sound like good customer service, regardless of whether you need the item or not. Bummer.

Yeah I don't know, as it was like above and beyond service before, understandable if it was a different person entirely and they just got so swamped ultimately, but still being ghosted without reply is pretty shitty I admit!

I own:

5x reg alum BCG
2x large alum BCG
2x reg SS BCG (1x polished, 1x matte)
1x OMD Aroma 3
1x new Flower Mill Premium
1x Stona
1x Tafeé potter
1x Cannabis Hardware alum 2 piece fine
1x ceramic coated China BCG knockoff

IMHO, the matte SS BCG is the perfect grinder. The polised is more impressive, but doesn’t use quite as good as the matte. Flower Mill is my least used, I have no “dusting” issues, I just don’t reach for it much. Stona is the most convenient by far since you can just drop a nugg in and don’t have to do any ripping; but I like to keep my bud really sticky and that’s the one case where it kind of struggles. The OMD is great, but I don’t personally reach for it over the BCGs, more a “once-in-a-while” piece for me.

Thanks @Obsessed 2 , @lookhigh , @MoltenTiger , @Grinders for Life for your help and suggestions. I used a bit of everyones advice. I was able to find a nail head the exact same size as the magnet. Glued it on with some crazy glue, stuck it in the freezer and then pulled it out.

Then in my infinite wisdom proceeded to put it back in the grinder the exact same way . Anyway I repeated the steps above and I'm back in business again.
How did you remove the super glue just soak in iso? This just happened to me today, the magnet has been weak since I received the grinder sadly.

Hi thanks for the advice. Which plate do you prefer?

Medium is a fantastic universal plate, I think any vape and any vaporist would be happy with a medium. I don’t use fine plates at all (I’ve had a few over time but given them all away); I do like a coarse cut for more open draw convection style vapes, while I use coarse frequently, I would be fine if I only had medium.

Ordered a factory second in stock 14.11 and shipped 16.11. Looks like some are ready to ship immediately. In case some people are waiting because of the text about 6-8 weeks shipping time
