Brilliant Cut Grinder

A few days in with a new coarse plate and I love it. Grinding is easier, faster, and the 'coarse' is somehow more reminiscent of what I used to get from my (very old) Cosmic grinder. All the vapes are doing fine with this grind, and it is nowhere close to breaking into finer stuff if I grind enough flower for a couple of days.
So now I'm sporting Emerald sandwiched by Saphire/Saphire.

I recently figured out I prefer the coarse plate. Most of my BCG have medium plates, but I did think to get a few coarse, of course. It feels odd to not be jumping on the sale, but I'm sitting with 13 for now.
Is that bad luck?

I have the new Rose cut on my Rose Gold. It is beautiful.
It is a nice number of grinders, but not, I hope, my allotment for life.
Each and everyone brings me joy. I almost went out of my mind with ecstacy when I got my Volcano Hybrid and saw how well the Amber went with it.

I have had good experiences with their CX team as well, but I don't know that I think it is "outstanding" to not offer a deal like this to early adopters unless they give up their spot in line. Just give them the discount price and call it a holiday surprise imo. The early adopters are jumping in sight-unseen (no reviews and such), so it feels at a minimum less than outstanding for that to be their best-case resolution.

Haha yeah, subjective semantics, I would refer to that as going above and beyond

Yeah I meant the line between outstanding vs above and beyond, but yeah it's not atypical at all with everything at least paraphernalia related from watching here... You'd think they would not even have the holiday discount effect the pre-orders at all, so it's all in how you look at it, I think it's nice that it can apply, like how it applies to the factory seconds, I also remember that there is going to be another discount in December, when the factory seconds began last year I ordered during the first sale, but then I got another factory second after it ended without any extra discount, even though soon after another discount began lol I didn't feel entitled to any discount due to my own poor timing though so didn't even try to request (they had hooked me up well otherwise anyway) So yeah all perspective!

Yeah, for sure. The discounts not applying at all would be an equally "fair" resolution in my head, but obviously I am not the final arbiter of fair in the universe. I guess from an armchair business strategy/excellent cx philosophy position to me it just seems like if your early adopters are somehow paying more than less early adopters (like not talking about a sale for a well known product) that doesn't sit well. If you think about it in terms of investment risk, the early adopters have the highest risk (which I grant is probably trivial to most of us when we're talking about a grinder). The product is brand new and unreviewed. When I bought my BCG it had been around the block for several years and felt like a known quantity.

I guess all of that is all I mean in saying its not "fair" or whatever. I'm still into the product and the company.

If McDonalds has another Monopoly run tomorrow, would you feel entitled to cards/tickets for all the McDonalds you ate earlier this week?

I don't think this is an entitlement situation, just good customer-friendly business. They made a choice, on the sale, where they could have said "except ss pre-orders", they didn't.
I think GFL would normally allow a cancellation of a pre-ordered grinder, which is what they'll call this (and then you go to end of line with your coupon as a new order). They have to expect and anticipate this circumstance when they go into 'sale' mode.

Only if I preordered those meals and didnt eat them yet. This is no different than cancelling an order and remaking it.

It's not as simple as give discount and cx is better. By including the ss in the sale, please consider it also allows people unable to spend too much money at once or people from oversees to gain easier access to these grinders. This is cx that benefits a whole larger group of customers.

This is just a temporary discount. People ordering after the sale is over won't be getting it either, do they not deserve that ultimate cx? Nor will they be able to get a better place in line because of their being excluded from the discount.

I get it's sucky but I don't know what to expect. GFL have annual discounts during the industry standard BF sales. It's not like it's totally unexpected, unless one inquired whether it'd be included and got a hard no.

Yeah imgbb is great for just pasting the BB code (what is in the IMG brackets) without any of the link (what is in the URL brackets) to get the photo to display directly here.

Otherwise I use imgur to create an album that will display directly here with arrows to scroll through, but since I am on my phone I have to go to their desktop website in my mobile browser to be able to properly upload, then just paste the top URL here.
