@ CK ,isn't it easier to keep stem sleeves clean w/ ISO
The spacers are indeed glass. From what I gather based on comments from @Davinci_vaporizer , it's probably not glass
The spacers are indeed glass.
They look like they were picked out of the Emerald City
I think a glass spacer will be awesome. Maybe
something doughnut shaped? Any clues @Davinci_vaporizer?
That's a o-ring I use for a seal. My unit is from last Oct., I still have a little air leak. The GonG or WonG almost eliminate that. I would assume the newer models have a tighter seal. I have the seal around the top where the stem comes out the top of the unit. I took a picture a while back with the WonG.@CarolKing: Whats that lil rubber ring (?) around Eds black stem for? Some kind of seal?
Here's a good place to start reading up on the air leak issue with the Ascent - http://fuckcombustion.com/search/22539805/?q=leak&t=post&o=date&c[thread]=9885Thanks, Carol. How do I find out if I too have the air leak... don't know exactly what its all about?
I just weathered the silicon taste (took about 2 sessions) to get a great flavor profile. Hope I didn't breathe too many toxic fumes. I think the vaporizer community is blessed to have such a wide variety of vapes to choose from.
The funny thing is that it was my worst tasting vaporizer initially, but now has been my go-to piece when I try new strains to determine the strain's flavor profile. It is a lot of fun when you have some free time to sip on vapors while taking a walk or watching a movie (on dvd, never in a theater because it smells too much-a job more suited for my Elevape sv). I really like the glass spacers idea (you can do it with the glass vials if you use a pinch), even though I like getting medicated with a large amount of herbs (especially if it's my first session of the day-I always pack full a and a light tamp down).Obviously you didn't breathe in too many toxic fumes, you're still with us.......
And there's noting really toxic about those fumes anyway. Since this is 'food grade' rubber, the catalyst is selected to be non toxic (based on Platinum IIRC), higher price (isn't it always?) but safe in this use by conventional measures. Vape on in good health.

Yes they are on a "boat" hahaI thought I had read that the first run spacers are on their way to the U.S? When deciding to take the Ascent places, it's an issue using the little glass flowers. They are easily lost. Having a one piece spacer will be good for going out an about.
I need to pack the Ascent completely full and not use the spacer when going places. I don't want to hassle with having to take out the glass flowers. So I end up taking my Air as my portable unit or the Indica.

Hey there. Unfortunately there is no way to self replace the batteries in the Ascent. We thought about it when designing but we ran into a problem. If the two batteries' volts do not match, the unit will not work.Guys if someone tried to replace batteries to normal recharging AA aku ? Is ther possibility to do this ? I`m wondering because my Ascent have very shitty battery. It`s empty about 3 (10min) sessions. And i can`t charge to full my vape. Logo charging battery blink indefinitely even after all day of charging...:/
