It doesn't seem to be able to do oils very well from what I've read .
With or without cotton , or with glass beads spacers ...
You can upload your pics first to imageshack or tinypics or something like that ,
before posting it on FC .

Do you know what temp is best for bho? I have tried with the original dv oil cans and it wasnt good, I have a micro g pen that works really well for it, but I cant stand the robo-fart taste

I believe higher temps for oils is better . imo

I vaped the oil @420°F for about 5 minutes. I was able to get small amounts of visible vapor, it had a pretty good taste, I felt the effects it was good for the most part BUT it doesnt make big clouds like the micro g of my oil dome. It feels more like oil-roma therapy whereas the others feel like a punch to the face. With all my other devices, I would probably just use this for oil on an 'on the go', at work or emergency basis. It definetly isnt a dissapointment though and im sure the vapor lock will make it a better experience... as I noticed while vaping the oil (lid off) when you draw you can hear the jar lifting and tapping the draw stem

How was the density of the vapor for flowers? Could you detect the air flow "issue"? Do you think you would have been better off waiting for the vapor seal lock? Thanks!

the density was good, couldn't detect the airflow issue, but I draw slow while vaping...as far as waiting on the vapor seal lock, I would be interested in trying it after the adjustments to compare, but I like it...love it the way it is! It being a demo unit I notice where/why they would have made the cosmetic changes they did...picky sh*t aside, I would have glady paid $250 for this unit. My most consistent issue is small flower particles getting in my mouth and I will be applying the screen later, I just wish they would devise a glass screen kinda like these...

It almost seems like the vapor seal lock was designed to address the weak vapor production while using the oil cans more so than with flowers IMO, considering none of the reviewers here complained of any air flow or vapor density issues when using the Ascent for flowers. Either way, thanks for your input as any and all news/opinions are welcomed by me! Makes the wait easier!

The buttons on the ascent in the pax bowl size comparison pic make the buttons look really chunky and easily pressed so I'm glad they've been redesigned if I'm honest. It'd be nice to see what the new ones look like, or have I somehow missed that?
I know there's a few (myself included) people sounding like broken records but I really would like some more info on UK\EU vendors and price points. If you tell me, you can come to my birthday party.

Have you tried using smaller amounts of concentrate? Not doubting there is an airflow issue but wondering if a smaller amount would allow the oil to get hotter. Also wondering if pre-heating the jar would make a difference in vapor production or at least get you there much quicker..

I just heated the bowl and dropped the can in, I will try to heat the can fist then dab the oil in, I just think the time it would take to close would allow alot of it to escape, I posted pics of the amount of oil I used and will gladly use less to test it again. I do like it though for oil its just more of a laid back/descreet option than my other devices

Slim, stick or thr... do any of you know how/where to insert the screen??? Since the first draw I have been getting small flakes in my mouth. Maybe a thin layer of cotton between the material and the stem?

I never needed it, never got little bits in my mouth. I use a Santa Cruz Shredder as a grinder. The screen is supposed to go between the two stems like a cap on top of the smaller stem. I imagine you put the screen on top of the smaller stem an push the larger stem down on top of it.

Thanks! I am going to try it asap. Does the Santa Cruz give it a more coarse grind? I have a sharper stone grinder with the kinda s shaped teeth...not really too educated about grinders, I have a shredder card I will dust off and try also

First time posting here but Ive been following this thread and the pre sale thread for some time now. Just wondering, because you have the pax and the ascent in your picture, which out of the two you would prefer. I know this question has been asked multiple times, but just wanted to hear your input because I am deciding between the two currently. Thanks for any info you can provide!

To tell you the truth it just all comes down to personal prefereance, but keep in mind I have only had the ascent for one day...the ascent has more customizable settings, all glass vapor path and a good taste, it is bigger than the pax by quite a bit.
The pax is small, easy to operate and has terrific battery life but it doesnt have a the ability to do concentrates
So it basically comes down to simplicity (pax) VS customization (ascent) but given how much I enjoy the pax its surprising how quickly im falling for the ascent. A couple things im noticing about the ascent is it may smell MORE because there is a hole in the bottom of the bowl (which makes the draw feel more free than the pax) if you can get past that, I have to say that the taste does last and the vapor is good.
The pax is simple to empty, easy to fill, can be hidden in most hands and has three settings to make temps a 'no brainer'. I really do like the ability to customize my temps too...if they could splice the two it would be the s**t! I was originally thinking of selling my pax when I got my ascent,but I think I want to keep both...if that helps, to me its like galaxy (ascent) vs iphone (pax) the debate can go on forever
(If my post does not make sense it may be due to me using the ascent ALL day...im pretty baked)
