Took the ascent out today and was going to show it off. Whoops battery was dead! 
It was pretty low a few days ago... I figured I could get one more session. I guess I should leave it on the charger when not in use.

So the two samples of oils that Da Vinci sent me; one being "Energy" the other being "Relax" both work really nicely. I filled the glass jars half way (WAY too much) and was able to puff constantly for 15-20 min. I can't really go into much detail on how they felt, as I hadn't cleaned my Ascent for about a week of heavy use.... and pretty sure the built up resin mixed in and created a little bit of an unexpected buzz hahah! But all-in-all the oils definitely worked REALLY well.
I've got some crumble from a dispensary in Colorado that I'm going to toss in just to shut some of you guys up lol. I hate using oils/concentrates for anything other than taking dabs... but I'm biting the bullet to please you nosey bastards!

I first reviewed the VaporBlunt 2.0 and thought it was the bee's knees... found out quickly after using a Solo/Original DaVinci that I was very mistaken. After coming to terms with my feelings on the Ascent. I'll be selling my Pinnacle, Solo, VB 2.0... etc. The Ascent is really the only portable I want in my pocket... with slight exception to the Pax; still can't get over how cool that thing is.

Just caught up on this thread...so we've been working closely with the production team on the improvements and they are looking good. For those that asked, the lock will be a small clasp on the outside of the unit which will decrease airflow a little as well as preventing you from cracking the hinge open the wrong way. It will in no way compromise the vapor path.
Also, someone asked about our production facility so I'll share a little about our background for you guys. We've been manufacturing various products for other people through the years, but have tons of experience with sourcing, qc management, logistics and such. When we entered into this industry, we decided to open up our own factory and build it from the ground up, so we are one of the few manufacturers to actually own our factory. I'll tell you ..that alone has been an interesting experience and lends to an amount of challenges that I cannot begin to explain. However, it gives us much better control than to outsource to some random Chinese manufacturer...not to mention protection from copycats. Probably doesn't help our case for the delays, but we do still rely on outside vendors for materials and such. We are making improvements every day and the same vendors were not used for DaVinci as for Ascent. Totally different build materials all together.

@ DV: Do you have any info on the release in Europe yet? I'm not asking for a date, but I'd like to know if the Ascent has been CE-certified yet. Since the Ascent obviously seems to be ready to go (apart from packaging/buttons/rubber band) for quite some time now, it should have given you enough time to send one in to get the seal of approval. Any news there?

As a medical patient here in Canada and having access to a variety of medicine such as , 6 different strains of cannabis, honey oil, butter, bubble hash, regular hash. All kinds of edibles but they don't fit into the equation .
I have a variety of water tools to use when using my meds.
I feel being sick and understanding things from a medical stand point has helped me manage and maintain my pain with a balance of opiates and cannabinoids of different types ingested in different ways such as eating, smoking, sublingual spray(sativex) and vaporizing over the last 10 years and growing my own medicine would qualify me, I would hope. LoL

My kids live a out 3700 km from my home 3 day drive none stop if possible.
I travel 5 hours to my drs appointment makes for a 10 hour day.

I don't think it's going to be much different to be honest. I can't say really, because I haven't seen the final units... but I haven't had any problems with mine to make me think an "upgraded unit" was even necessary. I think my seal around the bottom chamber is just fine...

A few points to remember. We don't want any posts about Gotvape or any other reseller offering preorders. We've been over this before. They'll be removed like the ones posted on this page. DV will announce the release date and FC readers will know it as soon as anyone. Buy it from any source you like, but don't post questions to DV about availability. Ask them or resellers directly. FC isn't the customer svc. arm for DV or any other manufacturer. We also don't want a bunch of posts about your personal tracking info or when your mailman delivers. Questions about individual orders don't belong here. For future info seekers those types of posts will just be obsolete garbage to wade through.
As for posting reviews on DV's performance in releasing this model, consider that if they didn't choose to post here, nobody would have any info to base a review on. The attitude that they've done a poor job (and should learn from their mistakes) because they've missed their original release 'estimate' assumes that most other companies do a much better job, but how would we know, since few companies lay it all out on a forum? We should all be happy about their transparency instead of picking at their decisions as if we're experts on bringing a product to market.

Seriously I checked into the Vancouver health expo and its this weekend I think I'm going to attend this thing its all about alternative meds and the herb.
I'm a nurse so this would be very beneficial to go too.
