Just wanted to say that I fucking LOVE my arizer solo with my new walnut orbiter. This thing hits me like a truck at temp 7.
While I don't know it, the battery pack looks OK. But that cable is wrong on at least one end. One end depends on what the battery output is, while it might be the USB port, I doubt it. 9 or 12 VDC could destroy some expensive gear that way. The other end is too big, you need an odd size not the normal 5.2mm. This one will fit on the vape end and works for Air (which is 5 VDC). It is at least closer to what you need:

Good luck with it, but I'd have to see the output connector to be sure.
Can't you just unplug the charging dock? That's what I do with mine.

Thanks for your reply.
I actually posted the wrong battery pack. This one https://www.amazon.co.uk/Aukey-1000...=8-1-spons&keywords=portable+charger+9v&psc=1 says it supports 9v / 12v output from one of the USB slots. What do you reckon? (Coupled with that cable you linked).

I have a question about the docking station.....
I never fully charge my solo as I know this is detrimental to the health of my battery.....
So if it's just sitting on the docking station, looking pretty, is it fully charging the solo? therefore damaging the battery???
If this is the case, then is it possible to reprogram the station to cut off at 95%???
@OF ???
Or anyone else???
WOW, huge cloud
Level 7 and how much material ?
a full stem ?
Most modern devices have circuitry to eliminate overcharging. Goes for phones, laptops, etc., I would hope that would also go for the solo?
You're welcome. I'm sorry I can't give you a more firm answer, having never seen/used one. I don't think this will do what you want. Check out the first question answered:
Question:
hi, specifications state that there 9V and 12V. is that correct? if yes, how this device swich between different voltage? is this usb output?
Answer:
*snip*
FWIW this is what I did for mine, I modified the battery pack I was already using for the PD, that's it in front, it uses 3 18650s and works very well:

Hello friends
I have 2stems which are totally coated with resin. Anyone got any other uses besides ,making stem milk? Looking for a quick solution
Thanks in advance
thanks alcohol idea is good, I usually make stem milk first and then soak em in alcoholThe best way I have found is get some 99% isopropyl alcohol off eBay (it's fairly cheap and will last a while) and then some small smooth stones (rice could work but I find it sticks), put the stones or rice in the tube, put the stem in a sandwich bag or something similar, put alcohol in, let it sit and then give it a good shake. Then for bonus points pour the resin infused alcohol into a glass baking container, allow the alcohol to evaporate, and use a razor blade to scrape up the oil, et voila, medicine. (Cook with it).
Or if you aren't interested in saving anything, just put your stem in the dishwasher.

I have a "GADGET" and my OLD SOLO is like new with it!Simply charging the Solo to full and storing it away will damage the battery over time, more so the warmer it is. This is why it and replacement batteries come to you 'part charged' (where storage time isn't an issue), otherwise guys would get brand new gear with lame batteries.
version of my 'Gadget', which does just this (shut down charging 'early') automatically:

@OF when does mass production begin????
Thank you again! I had suspected it wasn't possible to achieve what I wanted from the battery packs that I posted.
Your pictured solutions looks really good though, and relatively inexpensive. What did it take to do this? I assume that you must have bought the battery pack and then put a new cable on which suites the Solo? Or is there more to it than this?
It's not much more complex than that. It's a 3 cell 18650 holder (I don't recall right off from where) connected in series (two wire jumpers on the back soldered in) and the end of a charger cable cut off. I glued the connections to protect them and covered the bottom with the stick on felt you'd put on the bottom of a table lamp.

Cheers.
So all it would take, would be something like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/231638468381?limghlpsr=true&hlpv=2&ops=true&viphx=1&hlpht=true&lpid=122&chn=ps&googleloc=9045630&poi=&campaignid=207297426&device=c&adgroupid=13585920426&rlsatarget=aud-133395220626la-131843276706&adtype=pla&crdt=0&ff3=1&ff11=ICEP3.0.0-L&ff12=67&ff13=80&ff14=122 (I'd probably find a better quality looking one), then cutting the cables off to attach to this? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Step-Up-Mo...id=1462382315&sr=8-2&keywords=12v+usb+step+up , and then three cells?
Not quite. The battery box will do fine, the the cable has the wrong size again. You want the one I gave above, you need a 4.0mm connector with a 1.7mm hole, not the 5.5mm one with 2.1mm hole. The boy/girl part won't work. Get the other cable and you should be fine.
Be sure to tie a knot in the wires or otherwise provide some strain relief lest you find it broken when you need it.
Yes, you'll need 3 matched 18650s and a charger for them of course. Lots of good choices there.

Edit: Here's another idea for you. Instead of having to solder or something to connect the wires use a pair of this style connectors (the default standard, widely used in Closed Circuit camera installations. The installers will gladly give you a few if you see them 'on the job'. I used them for years before finally buying some. These are neat, you don't even need a screwdriver (although there are screw types 'all over'):

Watch the colors/polarity of course, the male goes on the battery box side so 'power comes out the male' like on the Solo end of the cable. Such a rig is handy for other stuff too, if you're of a mind to..... OF
Just one more question though, what mAh batteries do you use? And how many charges do you get out of a set of 3?
I use my Solo car charger quite a bit. It sure comes in handy during a power outage. I highly recommend getting the car charger.
I bet one day the car charger will come in handy for me though.
